“Karen did a wonderful job of communicating during the whole process. We truly appreciated all the pictures that she shared of our puppy while we were gone. I highly recommend her and we will definitely will be using her again.”

“Nate and Whitney did an amazing job watching Mac! They sent many updates and pictures of how Mac was doing while he stayed with them. When I picked him up the next day he was exhausted so it is safe to say he had a blast staying with them. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dog sitter!”

“Always pleasant & my pups genuinely LOVE going to see Daisy🐾❤️🐾 I don't worry about their safety or if they're lonely. Drop off & pick up has always went smoothly. We've been using Daisy for over a year now, with at least 3 different stays, and never any issues. Thanks for giving my Pup's a home away from home❤️ I will continue to be a repeat customer.”

“Kyri was fantastic, lots of communication, wonderful home, great personality, no complaints at all, I dare say Buck wants to go back and have more fun with friends”

“Lisa and her whole family were gems! Our doggie was so happy with them and felt like one of the family. I know this from all the happy pictures she sent me :) 10/10 recommend!”

“Tara far exceeded our expectations in caring for our 13 year old Goldendoodle. Tara provided incredible care and it’s clear her family is deeply committed to the pets for which they care. We will definitely bring Baylee back, because she already misses them! thank you to Tara and her family!”

“Carmen took great care of my puppy, Luna, for 9 days. She was reliable, communicative, and very loving. I felt completely at ease knowing Luna was in such good hands. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!”

“We needed someone last minute, as our original puppy sitter got into a car accident. This was our first time leaving Max with anyone, so we did not know what to expect, and Max was nervous. Arlissa made Max feel at home and exceeded our every expectation. She was very prompt with her messaging, and sent us updates and pictures throughout his stay there. It was so nice to see how happy he was and the fun time he was having, not to mention being well cared for. We will be contacting Arlissa next time we go out of town and need a sitter for Max. Our experience was nothing short of amazing.”

“This was the second time Amber has hosted Ollie for us, and just like the first time, the experience couldn't have been better. Amber took great care of Ollie. He played with and gets along well with her other dogs. He was very tired when he got home, which is an added bonus! Definitely recommend Amber K as your Rover Sitter.”

“This was our first experience boarding our pups and Angel exceeding all expectations. We made last minute plans to leave town right before the holidays, giving her 1 days notice. She was super flexible with drop-off and pick-up times. I loved that they had their own indoor kennel area outside the house, so they can be pups and not intrude on someone else’s space—as we know how inquisitive our little friends can be. They had a comfortable area to rest & also a fenced in yard to run & play. We will continue to trust Angel in the future for all of our boarding needs!”
“Catherine was amazing!! We got daily updates and pictures of our girl and felt like she was in great hands. The communication was awesome and Catherine was so easy to work with. We would definitely book with her again. A+++”

“Amani did a great job with my Frenchie!!! She sent photos while I was away and was a great communicator. She has a beautiful home and big fenced in backyard! I would reccomend her to anyone.”

About: My partner Anthony and I have extensive pet care experience through house sitting for several families, caring for a wide variety of dogs with different needs and personalities. We've looked after dogs who require a high level of care, including administering medication, following strict routines, and maintaining consistent feeding and walking schedules. We've also cared for easy-going pets who simply need companionship, exercise, and lots of love. We pride ourselves on being attentive, reliable, and adaptable, making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Erin works close to home, so she can come back and care for the dogs during the workday. I am available for boarding on weekends, depending on my schedule. We will make sure your dog is well taken care of! We have a fun, friendly, energetic dog to keep your dog company. We have a partially fenced-in yard, but I will never leave your dog outside alone. We only want to accept dogs that do well/get along with other dogs for the safety of our dog, Ozzy, and ourselves.

“Greg was great! He had our male Frenchie, Drax for 1-wk while our family was on Spring Break vacation! This was the 1st time we had been separated from our 1-yr old dog. Greg kept me at ease by sending me daily text messages & videos of Drax. We loved the atmosphere at Greg’s house and there were other happy dogs at his house at the time! We met Greg’s family and we knew Drax would be loved and taken well care of. We’ll be utilizing Greg when we’re out of town in the future and recommend him to anyone looking for a Professional Dog Sitter!”

“Claudia watched Junior while I was on a vacation overseas. He got along so well with her and her fur baby that I had no concerns while I was away. She sent tons of pics letting me know he was having a good time. Lastly, I had some issues that affected my pick up time & she was very understanding of the situation. Highly recommend & I would book future stays with Claudia.”

About: I have provided care and enrichment for a variety of animals throughout my life, from hamsters all the way up to farm animals. I have had multiple jobs in animal care, acquired a bachelor’s degree that required multiple animal-related care internships, and have personally cared for many family pets in their own homes. I'M OFFICIALLY FULL-TIME IN PERSONAL PET CARE ☺️ If a pet parent is flexible with their schedule I can fit it around my other clients! Especially for walks or drop ins. I'm going full-time on pet care for a little while I am content to go for long walks or trips to a dog park, or just lounge around the house with the occasional trip outside all depending on what your pet prefers. I will follow all instructions on their meals and any meds they may have.

Carmen’s home is a ‘family home’ to my fur baby! She never wants to leave Carmen’s home! Carmen is sweet & gentle to her, takes her on walks, watches her do her zoomies in the back yard, and showers her with love, always captured on photos & videos. I’ve been taking my fur baby to Carmen for almost 5 years now and will continue to do so! Highly recommend!

Amani took great care of our girls while we were away. Amani kept us up to date with pictures, videos and messages. She followed all of our care instructions. The girls loved running and exploring in her large fenced yard! The girls were worn out from all the playtime they got and crashed when they got home. We would definitely recommend Amani to care for your pets!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
