After a previous bad experience boarding our dogs at a kennel, we were incredibly nervous about leaving them again. We decided to try Rover’s house sitting service, and finding Alexis was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. From our very first meet-and-greet, we knew she was someone special. Within about 10 minutes, one of our dogs showed Alexis a level of affection and trust that we’ve honestly never seen with anyone outside of our family. That immediately gave us confidence that she was the right person to care for our pups. Throughout our trip, Alexis went far beyond simply “watching the dogs.” She treated our home with incredible respect, brought in our mail, took out the trash, and kept everything in wonderful order. Most importantly, she cared for our dogs as if they were her own. She sent regular updates and photos, which meant the world to us and allowed us to truly relax while we were away. Every message reassured us that our dogs were happy, comfortable, and receiving so much love and attention. My spouse was especially anxious about having someone stay in our home, but Alexis completely exceeded every expectation we had. She is trustworthy, thoughtful, professional, kind, and genuinely loves animals. Those qualities shine through in everything she does. It’s almost bittersweet writing such a glowing review because we know it means she’ll become even busier, but she absolutely deserves every bit of recognition she receives. Outstanding sitters like Alexis are rare, and we feel incredibly fortunate that we found her. We will be rebooking with her every chance we get and sincerely hope her schedule allows it! If you’re considering Alexis to care for your pets, don’t hesitate. She gave us complete peace of mind, loved our dogs like family, and exceeded our expectations in every possible way. I was so nervous leaving my dog for the first time but she made it better by sending photos and Pixie was a healthy happy camper when I got home. Super happy.

second time using Alexis this summer. it was a quick trip but she took care of my pups and home just like it was a longer stay. pups were walked and happy and I saw her give them lots of loving and cuddles.

Alexis was great. she spent lots of time with the pups and made sure to adjust walk time to account for the heat. house was in great condition when I returned home. She also sent picture updates and let me know when she had arrived and before her final leaivng. already planning to book her again.
