“Hi Brooke, you did a wonderful job! We got back from our long trip a couple days ago and we appreciate all of your hard work! The kitties were very happy! Also, thank you for putting the trash containers behind the house and for filling the cat food in the outside cat house. We had forgot to tell you that we put the plants elsewhere and not to worry about watering them, sorry about forgetting to tell you! And we'll give you the wifi password during our next trip, if you wish to keep doing the job during our future trips. Great job, we are very grateful. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”

“We knew our cat was getting the attention and care needed from Alli while we were out of town and appreciated the photos she sent. We really appreciated Alli's flexibility when my original flights were cancelled.”

“Our dog is so excited to see Autumn for his walks! She communicates extremely well, has flexible timing and is easy to arrange walks with. Autumn will definitely be our reocurring walker and we highly recommend her to anyone else!”

“Not only is Dorothy an excellent dog sitter, but she is a true animal lover! This was confirmed at our meet and greet when she rescued a parakeet that had gotten itself lost and seemed to be begging her for help! It was amazing! Happily, the parakeet has found a wonderful, forever home with Dorothy! She is great!!!”

About: I have loved animals my entire life (I am 22), and I put extra care and effort to ensure they are comfortable around me and in their environment. I volunteer with the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, where I also foster kittens (including bottle babies and young litters who need round-the-clock care). At home, I currently live with two cats: a senior cat and a 3-month-old kitten. Caring for both at the same time has given me real, hands-on experience managing the very different needs of aging pets and young ones, from diet and enrichment to vet coordination and socialization. As a full time graduate student, my schedule is flexible to check in on your pet, provide feedings, playtime, and companionship. I can accommodate flexible drop-off and pick-up times and am happy to send photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always be my top priority during every visit. I consider myself detail oriented and always follow each owner’s care instructions exactly. I know how to recognize early signs of stress, illness, or discomfort, and I’ll always communicate any concerns to you promptly. You can count on regular photo updates every visit so you always have peace of mind.

About: I've had four dogs over the course of my life. All small to medium but I'm not against large dogs. Our pups had some special requirements so I'm accustomed to keeping up with a schedule. I'm currently working full-time. I go in at 6am and get off work at 3pm on weekdays and 12pm on saturdays. I'm able to leave on my lunch breaks for potty needs. I can adjust my days slightly if needed. I can follow instructions well, I'm detail oriented, and offer plenty of cuddles and playtime in the afternoons. Walks around the neighborhood if that's what your pupper needs. I have a dog so I can bring him around for company.
“Shaelyn is awesome! So thankful for how she cared for my kitties while I was away- I was slow to message and she read my mind with some of the things I forgot to mention ahead of time (e.g. adding extra litter to the litter box). Reliable and 100% will book again!!”

“I rebooked Gracie! She truly has an amazing personality! And is extremely capable to handle my elder cat who needs a little extra attention and more daily steps when being watched. Gracie has been morning but amazing, very communicative and is willing to take those extra steps my sweet girl needs! Highly recommend Gracie to be your pet sitter and I will continue to use her!”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple dogs and cats my entire adult life. I currently actively train my dogs at a local Kennel Club and specialize in deaf dog training. I currently own an embroidery shop and work part time. I work my dogs and take care of my kiddos outside of that time. I always enjoy working dogs and helping others. I have a privacy fenced in yard and am able to use my own transportation to pet sit as well. I am primarily available on weekends but feel free to send me any questions.

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life. I worked in a veterinary office as a vet assistant for around 5 years. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all ages sizes and lifestyles and can assist with any type of medical needs they may have! I’m currently a stay at home mom, I have a lot of free time that I would love to fill by loving on your pets! I can take dogs on walks, drop in to check on them, let them out, play with them, snuggle them, feed them, administer medication, I can also drop in and check on cats, feed them, administer medication, play with them and snuggle them! Anything your pets need, I can be there to help keep them happy and healthy 😊 I have a fenced in yard, 3 dogs and a cat of my own who love to make new friends, I do have a young daughter. The dogs get tons of snuggles and love and sleep in the bed at night, I’m also more than happy to crate dogs who feel more comfortable in their own space!
About: I've had dogs ever since I was 10, but my experience with them goes far beyond that. When I was a little kid, before I ever had a dog, I would go to this read with a dog program called "Paws to Read." I would spend countless hours reading to the dogs and befriending them, along with a cat or two here and there. When I was 10, I got my first dog, a husky, and gave him a wonderful life. He had quite a few medical issues and behaved older for his age because of it, so I know how to provide senior pet care. He has since passed, but my two current dogs, one pitbull and one pitsky, remind me every day how important pets are to me. I've had them both for eight years now, during which we've taken numerous car rides, walks, enjoyed outside and inside playtime, movie nights, and anything a dog could dream of. Now, while I've never had a cat because of the majority of my family being allergic, I never turn away from a cat. I'm a regular at the Gem City Catfe, where I play with the cats often and have gone so often that they are comfortable with me. I keep cat and dog treats on me in case I come across a stray, because all cats and dogs deserve to feel some love. I've also dog-sat and house-sat for a few friends before, so I know how to handle situations like pets not getting along, bathroom accidents, and being a bit of a picky eater. Currently, I am a full time student and work full time at UDRI (UD's Research Institute) from 8:30am - 3:30am. During the summer I won't be taking any in person classes, just two online. But when I return to UD for my final year, I will be taking classes again and may be slightly more limited. When it comes to my pets and caring for clients pets, the comfort of the pet is most important to me. Personally, my two dogs don't get along with each other very well, so they typically have to be separated. Even so, I always make sure to treat them both equally and give them lots of love! If I take one for a car ride and ice cream, I bring ice cream back for the other and take the other for a car ride later that week. If my client has dogs similar to mine, who need to be separated, I would be sure to treat them equally and split my time with them according to my client's requests. Given single-pet households, I'd spend a lot of my time with them! In my downtime, I'd make sure to sit with them while I work on coursework. I'd be sure to take them on walks and go for potty breaks. And of course I'd make sure we get a lot of play time in and lots of love!
“Abby is one of a kind! Our usual sitter was unavailable due to the holiday and we had to find someone last minute (I may have procrastinated a bit). Abby was more than willing to do so and was amazing at it! On time, great care of all pets and even filled out humidifier when it was running low! We will definitely recommend and be using Abby again!”

“Aine is super nice and attentive to the animals. She’s been sending frequent updates on her drop ins and even befriended my very reclusive cat quickly. Will definitely have Aine watch her again in the future!”

About: I grew up with dogs and Christmas still includes 5 pups. I have put boots on an aging golden retriever and have administered medication to dogs with both dementia and epilepsy I work from home so I can provide drop in service before 9, at lunch or in the evening. If I am house sitting I can work from your home and provide more frequent bathroom breaks but depending on the stay length/day I may need to leave for 2-3 hours in the even for social engagements or to care for my own cats. I will not have other animals in my home out of concern for my cats but I intend to match the pets daily schedule to my best ability to minimize the disturbance in their routine and provide some extra love while they are missing their humans.
About: I’ve always loved being around animals. When I was 10, I got my first ‘job’ caring for a family friend’s dog—walking a couple miles after school every day to feed, walk, and spend time with them. It’s something that really stuck with me and shaped my love for animal care. I work a 9-6 job as an Education Support Specialist at a local Early Learning Center. I get a long lunch break and spend that time going home. I’m also in the Army National Guard but constantly keep my schedule on here updated! All of my family is local so I am home for all the holidays as well. I am a home body so I love chilling with animals at my own home. I also enjoy going on long walks to get my steps in!
Belmont dog parents share their Rover experiences
Dorothy was fantastic! The meet and greet went great and she kept in communication the whole time we were gone. She was prompt about making sure the house was secure. Our cat normally roams outside, but she noticed he was hanging out under cars in the front, which is not normal, and she made sure to get him out from under and back inside. She was very nice and very responsible. We will def book her again.

Brooke was great!! I was so nervous using rover for the first time, she was a breeze to work with and made us feel very comfortable. I loved the rover cards, she kept us updated and was very communicative. Highly recommend, we will be working together again!

Gracie was the first Rover we ever hired. I felt so much more comfortable when I read that she is working as a vet tech and is obtaining education for that field as well. Part of me doesn’t want to leave a review because I want to be able to book with her as much as possible haha. But she is such a kind person who genuinely cares for animals and would be such a great addition to your pet’s team. 10/10 recommend!

Erin is amazing! She has taken care of my pups a few times now and she is incredibly responsive, is caring and loving to them, and goes above and beyond any expectations I would ever have. If you want your fur babies cared for while away, with no worry, choose Erin! I cannot say enough good things!

Sara has been great with my corgi, Cersei! She is always on time and has been incredibly flexible with my schedule. She is also very considerate with Cersei and accommodating to her needs for the past few months and Cersei loves her. She will continue to be my go-to whenever I need someone to help with Cersei.
