“Lashonna did a wonderful job with our two standard poodles. I loved the daily picture collages that showed each visit from topping off food and water to their playtime and walks. She knew exactly how to treat the boys each visit if they just wanted to cuddle because they missed their owners or if it was time to have fun and play. We will definitely rebook Lashonna for the next time we need her to watch our boys.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 10 and have had animals my whole life. I have volunteered at many shelters and fostered previously. I have experience with older, shy, more understanding needed animals. We are used to training puppies so can keep up with any needed continued care. I work from home and am able to give my full attention to your fur baby. I can move my breaks around for bathroom or attention breaks. My 5 year old GoldenDoodle will keep them company all day, as well. We have a fenced in yard and will keep your animal safe and loved. During walks if desired we have a fully sidewalked neighborhood. We have couch covers for the dogs to be able to get on the furniture if desired. If coming to your home I will leave everything as you left it, with the exception of your animal feeling relieved and loved.

“Laura was great caring for not only our 80 pound puppy, but also our senior dog who needed alittle extra care. She was available early morning and late evening while we were out of town. She wasn’t afraid to call with questions, which I very much appreciated. Definitely will use Laura again!”

About: I have had my own pets since I was a kid! My family has two wonderful dogs who we got as puppies. I spent a lot of time learning how to care for and train puppies and now even in college I consistently drive home to dog sit for my parents while they are out of town. I also have experience watching a large number of dogs, caring for deaf dogs, feeding, administering medications, walking, and more. I understand the need for someone with attention to detail and a big heart as leaving your fur babies in the hands of someone else is never easy. I am always more than willing to help out and learn how to best care of your animals! I currently have a part time job at a coffee shop which leaves me plenty of time for pet care! I should have a consistent schedule which will make it easy to schedule in times/longer stays. I take great care to make sure your pets remain safe and happy when I am sitting for any family. I make sure I know what the pets can do while I am around and also what their limitations are. I have a great eye for detail and will make sure your pets are fed/given medicine on time, let out/walked when needed, and make sure they receive the love and attention they need. I tend to keep notes on me just to make sure I am not missing any little notes about what your pets prefer.
About: I work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility! I have been working there for 2 years and am a shift lead. I also care for the neighbors dogs when needed. I have a large grass fenced in backyard to allow your dog/s to run around in. I can also spend as much time in your backyard or outside with your dog as you would like me to.
“Tiffany did a great job checking in on our two cats for two weeks. She gave updates and sent several pictures daily. Our cats loved her; would definitely recommend her to anyone else.”

About: I have had dogs my entire life from puppyhood to senior years! Since age 9, I have been able to be graced with having cats and now have one of my very own who gets whatever she wants. I love pets more than anything and would be honored to take care of yours just as I do mine. I currently work full time Monday-Thursday and am looking to add caring for animals into my time off through drop ins and walking! I am an avid explorer so I tend to walk several miles throughout my week and more on the weekends! I would love to drop in and see your pet to ease your worries about leaving them for work! I ensure the utmost care for my pets in my home and in others that I have cared for. I do this by having a watchful eye on them, engage them in enrichment of their choice, and love on them!
About: I’ve grown up around dogs and animals my entire life and have had over 12 years of daily hands on experience caring for my own dog. I’ve also helped friends and neighbors with walking, feeding, potty breaks, and drop in care. I currently work with children, so I’m responsible, patient, dependable, and comfortable handling different personalities and needs. I treat every pet with the same care and attention I would want for my own. I work part time Monday through Friday in the afternoons from 2 pm to 6 pm. I’ll start working full time in the summer. However, until June I can conduct my services in mornings. I’ll always be available evenings after 7:00 PM I greet the pets by petting them as soon as I enter the clients home. I will then let them out and will wait until they are by the door to let them in. I also actively supervise the animals and don’t let them leave my sight while being on the clients property. I make sure they are inside the clients home and their cages if one is required before leaving the clients property.
About: I’m a lifetime dog owner with hands-on experience caring for family and friends' pets. I know exactly how to handle both the chaotic energy of puppies and the gentle, slow-paced needs of senior dogs. I accommodate both planned schedules and last-minute requests, making it easy for busy owners when schedules change on a dime. I live right next to dog parks and trails, meaning your dog gets high-quality exercise and adventure rather than just a quick walk around the block. I send regular photo updates so you always know your fur baby is happy, safe, and having fun in real-time. My schedule is wide open, meaning I can easily accommodate regular routines, mid-day breaks, or last-minute, short-notice requests. Im happy to set a routine as well sinc ei know this helps with over all comfort for everyone. I can come for short walks or hour long walks, whatever you need! I can care for your pets at my place—where I live right next to dog parks and trails—or in the comfort of your own home. When caring for pets in your home, I am deeply respectful of your space and always tidy up after myself and your pet so you can come home to a clean house.

“I asked to drop in and let my 90lb Lab out during lunch times. She sent pics and updated me on how he was doing. She did a great job and I know gave my doggie some extra loving while we were gone. Absolutely will recommend to anyone and will request her again!”

About: I have been an animal lover my entire life. When I was a teenager, I had an older dog with declining health. I was her caretaker, making sure she had her medications and was provided with the proper diet. I even had a crib in my room where she slept. I truly believe our dogs and cats are more than just pets, they are members of our family. We have two dogs in our family, a 9 ½ year old Labrador and a 3-year-old Cattle Dog. They are definitely at different energy levels but both love to play and snuggle! I am currently a stay-at-home dad but as the kids have grown, they need me less and less. This gives me a lot of flexibility to care for and play with your pets! I can be available most hours of the day and night and am available on weekends. We play a lot in our house. Our Cattle Dog will fetch the ball for hours if we will throw it. Our Labrador likes to lay in the sunshine and watch. Not a lot of running for her! I will play with your pets and ensure they get the exercise and attention they need when you are away from home. You can rest assured that they will be well cared for!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Spring Valley
This was my first time leaving the dogs to be checked on by a non family member. Morgan was so kind to do a meet and greet a week or 2 in advance. My 3 dogs loved her instantly! Morgan let me know when she arrived for the drop in, sent me a picture, and texted again when she left. I will absolutely request Morgan again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
