“Sheryl was an exceptional dog sitter for our dog Maple during our recent 11-day trip. From the very beginning, she demonstrated reliability and professionalism - she was punctual for both our initial meeting and when she arrived to care for Maple. What truly set Sheryl apart was how thoughtful and prepared she was. She came equipped with treats and toys for Maple and took the time to really get to know her personality and needs. The fact that Maple got along so wonderfully with Sheryl's dog Mac made the experience even more special. They went on walks together, played fetch, and clearly enjoyed each other's company. Throughout our trip, Sheryl kept us connected with regular photos and videos that showed just how much fun Maple was having. From playing at the park to going on walks and even visiting coffee shops, Maple was truly living her best life. She was so comfortable with Sheryl that she even slept in bed with her - something she doesn't always do with us! Beyond her excellent pet care, Sheryl went above and beyond with our home. She kept our garden in immaculate condition, watered all the plants, and even maintained our worm bin - tasks that were truly above and beyond what we expected. I highly recommend Sheryl to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter and house sitter. Her genuine love for animals and attention to detail made our time away worry-free. Thanks, Sheryl!”

“Ana was absolutely fantastic! Extremely thorough and transparent and communicative the entire stay. We had complete trust in them and were able to relax fully on our trip! They sent photos and updates frequently and we'd absolutely book again!!”

“Karen was a great sitter for my cat, Hamlet! Karen was very responsive to messages and I got updates+photos each day of my trip. I know Hamlet was very comfortable with Karen and had a great time! Karen also went above and beyond and offered to water my plants and she left my place very tidy. I would highly recommend Karen for anyone looking for an attentive sitter.”

“We were very happy with Brady's care of our dogs. We have two dogs, a pitbull mix and a little poodle bichon mix. The little dog is reactive so we are always concerned that when we hire a new sitter they understand how to work with her. During our "meet and greet" Brady was very patient with her and won her trust. We felt very comfortable leaving her in his care. Brady sent daily photos - he certainly spoiled them with lots of beach time. And our house was spotless when we got home.”

“Irina was wonderful. She took such wonderful care of our two dogs. She was very communicative and sent daily dog photos. Highly recommend and look forward to working with her in the future.”

“Angela was amazing! She offered to do a meet and greet before sitting, which was perfect for my dog who is a little wary of new people. I also got plenty of updates and pictures. And I was able to enjoy my time away worry free because she was in such good hands.”

About: Hi! I work as a nature-based mentor for teens during the day, and bring the same calm, grounded presence to the animals I care for. I grew up with cats and have experience looking after large dogs—including three strong, loving pit bulls—so I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes and temperaments. Whether your animal needs play, patience, or just someone solid while you're away, I'm here to help. I work part-time during weekday afternoons, which means I have flexible availability in the mornings, evenings, and weekends. Pet care fits beautifully into my rhythm—I love starting or ending the day with walks, check-ins, or quality time with animals. I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to coordinate a schedule that works for you and your pet. When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize creating a calm, consistent, and respectful environment. I follow your instructions closely and take time to understand each pet’s unique needs, routines, and personalities. Whether it’s sticking to feeding schedules, administering meds, or giving space when needed, I show up with presence and patience. I treat your home with care and integrity, always leaving it as I found it—or better.

“Sara was wonderful with my seven-month-old Chessie retriever and my 12-year-old Dauchshund! They warmed up to her instantly. Sara sent me lots of pictures and I left home with complete peace of mind that my doggies would be well cared for and they were -I highly recommend Sara!”

“Liz was just what MollyMo and Kitty K and our family needed. She was very attentive to the little ones, cared for our house, and kept us up to date all along the way. Highly recommend!”

“Crystal graciously accommodated my last-minute request and even adjusted a prior commitment to ensure my dog wouldn’t be left alone for too long. She is punctual, professional, and incredibly detail-oriented—I’m pretty sure she left my home cleaner than she found it! What gave me the most peace of mind was her thorough communication. She insisted on having an emergency contact since I might be out of cell phone range, asked thoughtful and detailed questions about Georgie’s care, and made sure to understand her likes and dislikes. Crystal is trustworthy, kind, and truly goes above and beyond. I will absolutely use her services again and never worry about my pup in her care. Highly recommend!”

“I was so happy to find Eleanore somewhat last minute. She was great! She was immediately responsive and available for a meet and greet. My old dog has lots of issues. She has digestive problems with special diet instructions and medications. She is also difficult to walk. Eleanore managed her extremely well and my dog was happy and calm upon my return. Eleanore also cared for my formerly feral cat who is not always friendly. I suspect they became friends as cat was also very chill when I arrived. Eleanore left the house perfectly clean. She gave excellent updates. I have had many house sitters in the past and Eleanore is one of the best!!!”

About: I have a B.S. in Animal Biology. I grew up with dogs, hamsters, fish, turtles and chickens. I own three cats currently and cannot wait to get a dog later! I worked in a lab at UC Davis where I cared for aquatic animals (axolotls!!) and I cat sit for friends whenever they are out of town. Growing up with dogs throughout my life, I am well accustomed to their needs. I have also volunteered at animal shelters and an animal hospital where caring for cats and dogs is the name of the game!! I would love to meet your babies and give them the best care. I am a Registered Behavioral Technician that goes to clients homes to administer ABA services. I have flexible hours throughout the day between different clients M-F and I have fully open weekends to care for your babies- dog, cat, or both! When in a clients home, I am respectful and take care to leave things as they were or better. I can follow a variety of care schedules, as I have followed specific lab protocols of care in the past and I have experience with my friends varying animal care preferences and needs.

“Reliable, careful, and compassionate: These are just three of the adjectives that describe Laurena's in-home care of my senior dog. She's also a great communicator. I trust her absolutely.”

About: I’m experienced with caring for “challenging” dog breeds and behaviors. My Australian cattle dog, Goji, was reactive as a puppy. Through a lot of training and love, she overcame her reactive behavior. My big, gentle giant, and second dog is my Belgian Malinois mix, Koda. I’ve trained both of my pups from puppyhood to adulthood. I enjoy caring for dogs and teaching them how to be the best version of themselves. I lead a very active lifestyle and if your fur baby loves a good hike or cuddling on the couch, then I’m the sitter for you! Nothing is more important to me than the well-being of my pets. I spend quality time with my pets by getting them worked out and tired through playtime, long walks or going to the dog park to let out their energy. I rewards my pups with treats and maintain my patience when we are hit with challenges. Nothing is more important than ensuring your dog receives the love and care they deserve.

“Hannah was an excellent sitter for Bisco. She kept me updated with pictures and information on times Bisco was walked and fed. She was very prompt and understanding of my worries with Bisco. Our home was left very clean! I've never felt more comfortable with anyone on the Rover app caring for Bisco. When we came home he was happy and calm, more so than any other time being left with a new person. I would reccomend Hannah to anyone and if I need Sitter service in the future I would absolutely ask Hannah again! Perfect all around!”

“Keiki and her son Sunny were fabulous. They came over before hand to meet us and our pup, Cinnamon. This helped us and Cinnamon feel at ease. Sunny had a great way with Cinnamon. During our trip, Sunny checked in with us via text and sent us pics of Cinnamon. We so appreciated the care he gave and attention he gave to Cinnamon.”

“Asher stayed with my large elderly dog and my cat for a long weekend and I couldn't be happier. He's new to Rover but has house/dogsit in the past. Since he didn't have many reviews, I did a phone call with someone he'd dog sit in the past and the reference was glowing. He was immediately responsive to texts. He sent regular photo updates and left the house in mint condition when he left. We came home to happy pets and it was a pleasure working with him. I will definitely book again!”

Kensington pet parents share their Rover experiences
Ana is a cat whisperer. My sweet but skittish cat takes a while to feel safe with new people. When I have to leave her I often worry. Shortly after meeting Ana my cat was rolling on the floor showing her belly. While I was gone the love continued. Ana was super communicative, and so engaged and kind. My cat and I are so happy to have Ana in our lives. Definitely will hire Ana again. Thank you so much.

We had Nastasia housesit to watch our cats, including a new kitten who had to be kept separate from the resident cat, and she took great care of both despite us giving her a little more complicated situation! Both cats were very happy and well cared for when we came home, and she made sure to send daily updates about both. Will definitely be using her for future cat sitting needs

Kiera was so amazing with our pup. We have only ever left him with family, but she made sure he was very happy, well walked, and loved while we were away. She stayed in our home and we felt very comfortable having her there. We appreciate how she sent us daily updates and stuck to Ozzy’s routine. We would highly recommend!

Hayden was amazing! Our dog had an emergency vet problem the morning we had to leave for our trip and Harden dealt with her medications brilliantly, as well as generally taking great, loving care of her. Came home to a healthy, happy dog (annd a clean house) and will definitely look forward to Hayden looking after River again in the future!

This is our first time using Rover and Shard could not have been a better fit for us. We were nervous because our pup is leash and dog reactive, but Shard took all of her quirks in stride and we were never worried about his ability to work with her. An obvious bonus were the happy Riley photos we received while we were away. We're excited to continue to work with Shard for any future needs!

Priscilla was amazing with our anxious pup. She was so patient and calm and really allowed him to warm up to her at his own speed. She gave us daily photo updates and it was clear our dog was in great hands! She stayed at our house for 6 days and we had no issues. We will definitely book her again!
