“She did an amazing job with my two cats. Made sure all of their stuff was clean and even vacuumed, and swept the floor as well as took out the trash. None of those things I asked for. By far the best pet sitter I’ve hired.”

“Lindi arrived on time and let Ethel be Ethel as the dog got used to seeing her visitor. After things calmed down and Ethel approached and sat with Lindi, we took a short walk around the neighborhood. Lindi is so calm and she asks very good questions to get to know Ethel better.”

“My baby loved the visits! And I loved the pics and updates! Natalie was amazing from the beginning (which had a big hiccup on my end) to the end. Thank you so much!”

“Maddie accepted our booking last minute after all of our sitter plans fell through right before we headed out of town. We had never used Rover before so we were slightly apprehensive. She came over right away to meet him and was sure to send us pictures and updates for every visit. Our baby began to love her as the interaction progressed. Will definitely be rebooking in the future.”

“Gigi took great care of my kitties again while I was away for two weeks! She is a very reliable and communicative sitter, and I will definitely be using her again in the future :)”

“Maya was great! She came over for a meet and greet and doted on my pups. While I was out of town, she was thoughtful and reliable. It's so nice knowing that my dogs are in good hands. I'd definitely hire her again.”

“Emily was great! Responsive for a last second booking, very attentive and kind - which is perfect for my cat who can be wary of strangers. She provided detailed updates that let me feel confident my cat was being cared for while I was away :) Would book again and recommend to anyone needing a sitter! Thanks again, Emily!”

“Sarah was great with our 2 dogs while we were out of town. She even spread some pet friendly deicer on our driveway. When we returned home, our senior dogs were happy and well taken care of. We would definitely recommend Sarah and plan to request her again.”

“Elle has been such a big help to us! She is very attentive to our dog’s needs and gives the best updates. I’m so grateful for her loving on our pups and taking the best care of them when we are away. Highly recommend her!”

“Patrick always does a great job checking on our cats. I appreciate that he always makes sure they get some much needed attention while we’re away. This past visit, we were grateful that he caught and kept us well-informed of a (fortunately minor) issue with one of our cats.”

“Ethan took amazing care of my two cats while I was on a 2 week vacation! He updated me after each drop-in and I loved seeing the photos he took. My kitties and I recommend!!”

“There is a reason why Christy has so many repeat customers and excellent ratings. She strikes me as a cat whisperer! We have a sweet, cuddly 14-year-old nervous cat who usually hides from people she doesn't know well. By day 3 or 4 of Christy visiting, our cat was seeking out Christy and requesting as much attention as Christy could provide. Christy's reports were great, and we returned to a much happier kitty than we have after previous trips. I highly recommend Christy to care for your pet!”

“Megan came to our rescue when we were in a bind seeking care for our dog. I was confident in her experience and expertise working with dogs. I would happily seek her help again.”

“Khalil was very communicative and took great care of my cats! My instructions were followed exactly and my apartment was in great shape when I came home. Extra points for so many photos of the cats and clear care taken with them.”

“Maja was AMAZING! I had a prolonged power outage while away and she not only stopped in additional times to make sure my cat was ok/not too hot/auto-feeder was working, she also offered to clean out my fridge so it wouldn’t be full if spoiled food when I returned. She definitely went above and beyond!”

“Benjamin accommodated us last minute when our original pet sitter had to cancel. He was very detailed in his responses and I could tell that he cared about my pets wellbeing. He is a wonderful sitter.”

“Claire was absolutely wonderful! We needed Claire twice a day for an entire week. Our dog has been the only pet in our home for several years and she likes her alone time a lot so a Pet Hotel was not going to be a good fit for her. At the last minute I found Rover and decided to give it a try. It was super easy to look though our choices, contact which "petgivers" we liked, and then book the days and times we needed. Claire accepted our booking and even came over a couple hours later to meet Brownie, we were leaving the next day super early. Not only did Claire accept us with a last minute booking but she came to meet Brownie that night and she was super sweet and very professional. I can't say enough good things about her, so here are a few: - She was very prompt with the times we had scheduled. - She communicated with us about things, for instance the temp dropped to low 30's which we didn't plan for and had not turned on the heat, she contacted us to let us know the temp in the house was 50 degrees and asked if we wanted her to turn the heat on. - She went above and beyond our expectations. - Most importantly our Furry Family Member loved having her around. I would definitely use Claire again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to look in on their furry loved one.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Indianapolis
Ty was wonderful and very thoughtful. He spent a good amount of time with our cat and was always punctual. Momo, who is quite shy, actually played with him and was able to build trust with him. When we got back, the house was exactly how we had left it. He was prompt with communication and sent us pictures of our pet during each visit. We would definitely hire Ty again for future needs.

Bekah watched our 16 year old cat while we were on vacation, as she has for several years now. She visited him every day and refreshed his water and food, and cleaned his box, sending me pics of him to let me know he was doing fine. I truly thinks she loves our big buddy and takes very good care of him.
Emily was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of my cat and was incredibly responsible throughout the entire stay. I really appreciated all the beautiful photos she sent—they made me feel so much better while I was away. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about my kitty and spent quality time with him. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Natalie was fantastic. We were gone for a longer trip than usual and did not want to ask our friends to come like we usually do. She was very communicative before and during the booking. We had a meet and greet before to check that our cat will be ok with her and he asked for petting from Natalie in the first 5 minutes. During our absences she diligently did all we asked, she sent pictures and reports on the tasks done and the cat’s mood. He was clearly very happy to see her each time. In the last 2 days, he had a little weird poop and she informed us right away and kept an eye on it (it was nothing). We felt we could trust her and more importantly our cat trusted her. We will book her again when we have any need. So glad we found such a gem to take care of our fur baby when we are gone. Highly recommended.

Paola was great with our cats. They have to be fed separately and with care and she was more than able to accomplish that. She was able to routinely locate our cat that likes to hide. Our skittish cat even got some pets from her! Paola always made sure to send us pictures and updates and really kept us in the loop and helped ease our minds. We knew our pets were in good hands.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Indianapolis. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
