“We dropped our dogs on our way out of town Thursday morning and returned for them Sunday evening. I appreciated Destinee's flexibility with our pick-up time (I had initially booked for the following morning but it made more sense for us to pick them up on our way through as we were heading south to Bloomington - our timing was a bit later than she would have preferred but she graciously worked with us). We received photos of the dogs both inside the house and outside in the backyard on the first three days of care, and a written description of how they were doing on the first day. The home and yard seemed nice and I really appreciated not needing to bring bowls/ beds/ extra items as she provides everything. The only tips I would have for a better "pet parent" experience would be to be more consistent with writing about how each day went, and possibly showing off some of the house/yard upon drop off. Since we don't live close by, a meet and greet or advance tour wouldn't have made sense for us anyway. I feel like our dogs were in good hands with Destinee and her husband. About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in a family of dog lovers and have been surrounded by various dogs, of all sizes, my whole life. Presently, I help care for two English Bulldogs, Frank and Dolly, and a rescue Pit Bull named Baxter. My Nana adored English Bulldogs and owned several throughout her life. After she passed away, my mom got Frank in her honor, and our family quickly fell in love with the breed. Frank is the sweetest, most laid-back guy, while Dolly keeps everyone on their toes with her energy and personality. Baxter joined our family this past year after being rescued during a major Indiana snowstorm, and he has proven to be one of the gentlest, most affectionate dogs you could meet. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I have experience volunteering at the Humane Society, where I helped feed, walk, bathe, and comfort dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. And I’ve always loved animals. I can handle any sized animal as my current dog is 110 pounds and my cat is 10 pound. I’m currently in between jobs and on the job hunt so when I’m not interviewing most of my day is spent with my animals and my routine revolves around them. My dog Winston and I stay active, taking about 2 or 3 walks a day. Both of my animals are pretty laid back but I have experience with hyper breeds as well. About: I’ve had dogs since I was little and have been an animal lover my whole life. My family and friends have allowed me to watch their pets for them and walk them when they need extra help. I’m in grad school, so my evenings are pretty free after 4. I’m also available on most weekends, it just depends on my class schedule. “We dropped our dogs on our way out of town Thursday morning and returned for them Sunday evening. I appreciated Destinee's flexibility with our pick-up time (I had initially booked for the following morning but it made more sense for us to pick them up on our way through as we were heading south to Bloomington - our timing was a bit later than she would have preferred but she graciously worked with us). We received photos of the dogs both inside the house and outside in the backyard on the first three days of care, and a written description of how they were doing on the first day. The home and yard seemed nice and I really appreciated not needing to bring bowls/ beds/ extra items as she provides everything. The only tips I would have for a better "pet parent" experience would be to be more consistent with writing about how each day went, and possibly showing off some of the house/yard upon drop off. Since we don't live close by, a meet and greet or advance tour wouldn't have made sense for us anyway. I feel like our dogs were in good hands with Destinee and her husband.
