“Lily is amazing! She was willing to do a meetup beforehand so my cats could get used to her, she takes the best photos, leaves a very discriptive and attentive summary after each visit, she's very confident around the animals, and she gives them so much love and attention! One of our cats has a new diagnosis and we're still getting used to giving him meds, but I knew after the 1st visit I could trust her to handle it with care.”

“Absolutely fantastic service provided by Natalie, she showed up each day and spent quality time, leaving awesome updates, communicating really well, plus went above and beyond what was asked of her. And one of our pets is quite finicky and she clearly had the experience required to handle him kindly and in good care. Strong 10/10. She will easily be our first choice whenever we are out of town. Thanks Natalie!!”

“Janna did great checking in on my three cats for a long weekend! She was very thorough about understanding and implementing care instructions, provided good communication and pictures, and was able to carefully accommodate one of my cats that is very fearful of strangers. I hope to be able to rebook with her in the future!”

“Christine is the best! Super communicative, my dogs love her, and she always puts in so much effort no matter the weather or how energetic the dogs are. Would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have had cats throughout my 25 years of life. My family got their first dog in 2015; however, my grandparents have had dogs since 2012. I have given dogs and cats baths; as well as clipped their nails. I have dog sat for two family's for about 6 years. While I am not a certified trainer, I have taught my family dog to sit, stay/wait, lay down, touch my hand on command, and even to press buttons! I have open availability Monday through Fridays. On the weekends I run my own business and will have limited availability but will accept offers as they come. On Sundays, I volunteer at a cat rescue in the mornings. I treat all pets with caution, I do not want to make them uncomfortable! I let the animal approach me first. If the animal appears to be uncomfortable but gentle, I will sit on the floor at their level and allow them to smell me first.
“Gabrielle helped us out with a last minute out of town request to check in twice a day for our two cats. We received reports at each visit and our girls seemed to start to warm up to their new sitter by their last visit. Good communication and very prompt response. Would recommend and rebook with Gabrielle in the future.”

“Patrick always does a great job checking on our cats. I appreciate that he always makes sure they get some much needed attention while we’re away. This past visit, we were grateful that he caught and kept us well-informed of a (fortunately minor) issue with one of our cats.”

“Just completed my first Rover experience and Lydia put all my worries to ease - she was easy to reach and timely! She sent pictures of the dogs and I trusted them in her care. Thanks, Lydia!”

About: I have been around pets since the day I was born! While I am away at IU Indianapolis right now, I still make sure to visit my 2 dogs and 2 cats back home. I am a college runner with lots of energy for active puppies, but also love to relax with older dogs and cats. As a college student I am looking for opportunities that work around my class schedule. Most often I am looking for weekend sits, but also when I have a break during the week. I am very loving and affectionate to pets, but also know when I should be stern in order to keep them from doing things that may get them or someone else hurt. I always make sure they have enough food and water and I clean up after them if needed.
“Gigi was an amazing sitter to my Turbo! Upon short notice, Gigi accepted my request happily and asked the right questions to make sure that she got all the details to take care of my husky. The photos that she sent me said it all, Turbo was having so much fun with Gigi and was being taken care of 🐾 🥰 I definitely felt relieved to have someone like Gigi taking care of him. She thoroughly followed my instructions and took the initiative. I came back home to a happy and healthy furry baby! She deserves all the stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Will definitely request her service again!”

“Megan did a great job taking care of my little boy Milo. I appreciated the card photos of her playing with him and him eating. I would be happy to use Megan in the future for Milo’s care. Thanks Megan!”

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life and am well-versed in taking care of them. I love taking my dog on walks and playing fetch! I am very patient and kind, especially with animals. I am a student so especially during the summer my schedule is pretty wide open. My nights are usually free and most times during the day as well. My dog gets fed morning and night with treats throughout the day to supplement. In our home, we love lick mats, popsicles, and anything involving enrichment!
“Stacey was great and very thorough! We were able to cover everything together beforehand. Even though my shy cat didn’t come out on the visits, she still made a great effort to talk to him and let me know how he was doing!”

“Heather was the BEST! I’ve never used Rover before, but now I’m sure to rebook. There weren’t any issues and she went above and beyond (cleaned water filter, vacuumed, etc). Gave me such peace of mind while I was away”

“Jerra was great. She spent a little extra time with my kitty when she thought she needed some more attention, even during the busy holiday season, and sent some lovely pictures and updates. Will be using her again!”

“So helpful and so attentive especially with my senior kitty whose care can be a bit complex. I felt super happy knowing someone was taking my babies care seriously and with care. Would definitely recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Indianapolis
Zach was amazing with Ms. Bella while I was away. This was the first time I had left her for an extended period since she became blind, so I was naturally very nervous, but Zach made me feel completely at ease. He kept me updated daily, sent plenty of pictures, and gave her so much love and attention. It was clear Ms. Bella really enjoyed her time with him, and I'm grateful for the care he provided.

Shiloh was absolutely amazing. I wasn’t nervous about her but more so leaving my doggo and she was everything I needed to feel better about the situation. She was communicative and took great care of Kobe. She sent good pictures and I felt like she loved spending time with him! 10/10 would recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Indianapolis with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
