“Ryan was great! Super communicative, followed the dog specific instructions for both pups and gave info on how they both were and what they did! I picked him last minute for 2 days of drop ins and would use him again without question!”

“Maddie accepted our booking last minute after all of our sitter plans fell through right before we headed out of town. We had never used Rover before so we were slightly apprehensive. Will definitely be rebooking in the future.”

About: I have been around pets since the day I was born! While I am away at IU Indianapolis right now, I still make sure to visit my 2 dogs and 2 cats back home. I am a college runner with lots of energy for active puppies, but also love to relax with older dogs and cats. As a college student I am looking for opportunities that work around my class schedule. Most often I am looking for weekend sits, but also when I have a break during the week. I am very loving and affectionate to pets, but also know when I should be stern in order to keep them from doing things that may get them or someone else hurt. I always make sure they have enough food and water and I clean up after them if needed.
“Sebastian arrived early to get all of Bailey’s backstory and lore. He was super engaged and friendly and that it made it super easy to trust my best friend with him. highly recommend.”

“I HIGHLY recommend hiring Emily! She was so great with our cat Moz, they were fast friends. Emily took amazing care of Moz and sent us plenty of pictures and updates! We will definitely book with her in the future.”

“Just completed my first Rover experience and Lydia put all my worries to ease - she was easy to reach and timely! She sent pictures of the dogs and I trusted them in her care. Thanks, Lydia!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by pets, and my family still jokes that I made friends with every animal in the neighborhood. My grandmother used to come home and find me sharing my ice cream or snacks with whatever furry visitor had followed me inside. I’ve always had a natural connection with animals. Over the years, I’ve cared for many friends’ and neighbors’ dogs, from energetic puppies to older, calmer pups who need a gentler touch. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely love forming bonds with every pet I meet. Whether it’s walks, playtime, snuggles, or keeping up with routines, I make sure each pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable. Taking care of animals isn’t just something I do, it’s something that comes naturally and brings me a lot of joy. I work full‑time, but I’m very flexible with my schedule and love fitting in pet care whenever I can. On weekdays, I’m available after 4:30 PM for drop‑ins, walks, or evening visits. If you contact me ahead of time, I can often be available as early as 2:30 PM to help with your pet’s routine. On weekends, my schedule is completely open. I’m available all day for drop‑ins, longer visits, or extra attention for your pets. I’m always happy to work with your needs and find times that fit your pet’s usual routine. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I live in a spacious loft with plenty of room for pets to relax, explore, and feel at home. While I don’t have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is handled safely through leashed walks and controlled outings. I’m very mindful of my surroundings and make sure every walk is calm, secure, and enjoyable. Inside my home, I have a dedicated room reserved specifically for pets, giving them a cozy and quiet space if they need downtime or a familiar area to settle into. I can easily and comfortably crate pets when needed, making sure they never feel lonely or stressed. I aim to create an environment where every pet feels safe, loved, and looked after just like they would at home
“Kelsey has become our regular cat sitter for when we are out of town. My girls remember her each time and at this last visit started rolling over and asking her for belly pets signifying their trust for her. We love having a trusted pet sitter that can come to our home and take care of our beloved pets.”

“Patrick took great care of our 3 cats while we were out of the country for almost two weeks. I had peace of mind knowing they were being loved on and treated so well while we were gone. I loved reading his updates every day about how they were doing and he took some amazing pictures! I definitely recommend Patrick!!!”

“Hannah did an amazing job, and provided such good care of my babies! My sweet anxious kittens were very comfortable with her, and she was very good with getting the energy out of my youngest!”

About: I have had animals all of my life and have enjoyed taking care of them! I’ve had numerous cats and only one dog, but have been around dogs all my life. I’ve watched my neighbors’ dogs plenty of times, as well as friends and family members. I also have experience staying at people’s houses to dog sit. I have a lot of patience working with animals and enjoy interacting with them! I currently am a student at Indiana University and am home for the summer. I am shadowing on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but these times and days are super flexible. My schedule is super flexible so I can be available any day or time! At home, my dog hangs out around the house during the day, so long as someone is home. If he is home alone, he is out in his crate, in which he actually enjoys being in it. When we’re outside, he has a leash on or, if we’re in the backyard, is attached to his coord that allows him to hang out but not go too far!
About: I’m a former educator looking to make some extra money over the Summer. I have experience with pet care, child care, and facilities management. Most importantly, I’m dedicated to making the process as smooth for you as possible. I currently work part time, do my schedule is flexible. I have open availability Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, and Friday. I am available until 5pm Thursdays and Saturdays. I’m not available Sundays. I grew up with dogs. I love taking them on walks as much as they like going on them. When I take care of other people’s dogs, I prioritize punctuality, following requests, and a few scratches behind the ear for good measure.
“This was our first time utilizing this service so I was nervous to leave my boys. BUT, Stacey came by for a meet and greet and we knew they would be in good hands. She gave updates and photos after every visit, we will definitely look to book her again!”

About: I’ve always been the designated pet sitter for friends and family, cats & dogs. Animals love me and I love them, all shapes and sizes. Fury Friends Forever! I’m currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to pamper pups and cuddle cats. I really enjoy going for walks with my pup 🐶 and throwing a ball around. My cat whisper techniques are top notch as I have two adoring cats. 🐈 🐈⬛💕 I’m available to pop in for feeding time, play time, and walks. Love to hear special requests for fur babies. I understand wanting peace of mind having someone look after your pets and I am happy to provide that!
About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. And I’ve always loved animals. I can handle any sized animal as my current dog is 110 pounds and my cat is 10 pound. I’m currently in between jobs and on the job hunt so when I’m not interviewing most of my day is spent with my animals and my routine revolves around them. My dog Winston and I stay active, taking about 2 or 3 walks a day. Both of my animals are pretty laid back but I have experience with hyper breeds as well. I’m good at following instructions so whatever your pet care needs are you can trust that I will follow them well. I ask a lot of questions so everything should be well situated by the time I arrive.
About: Hi! I’m Sydney! I work full-time at the Indy Zoo and provide pet care on the side. I’ve always had a deep love for animals! Over the last 5 years, I’ve cared for shy cats, puppies, senior dogs who need medications and extra help, and pets with anxiety, providing calm and patient care tailored to their needs. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine as I have lots of free time in the mornings and evenings to walk, play with, and care for animals. I dedicate focused time to ensure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved. I prioritize safety and cleanliness in both my home and client’s homes. I maintain secure environments, follow specific care instructions, and create calm spaces especially suited for pets with anxiety, ensuring pets feel comfortable and relaxed.

Zach was amazing with Ms. Bella while I was away. This was the first time I had left her for an extended period since she became blind, so I was naturally very nervous, but Zach made me feel completely at ease. He kept me updated daily, sent plenty of pictures, and gave her so much love and attention. It was clear Ms. Bella really enjoyed her time with him, and I'm grateful for the care he provided.

Shiloh was absolutely amazing. I wasn’t nervous about her but more so leaving my doggo and she was everything I needed to feel better about the situation. She was communicative and took great care of Kobe. She sent good pictures and I felt like she loved spending time with him! 10/10 would recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Indianapolis with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
