“We are so thankful that Kelsee stopped by even when our plans changed! She was fantastic in meeting our pup for the first time, and we really appreciated the great communication she had with us leading up to the appointment.”

“Patrick always does a great job checking on our cats. I appreciate that he always makes sure they get some much needed attention while we’re away. This past visit, we were grateful that he caught and kept us well-informed of a (fortunately minor) issue with one of our cats.”

About: The cats my family had (& still have) when I was growing up at home were all strays. Two from a man experiencing homelessness in Manhattan, one abandoned in a park in the Bronx, a fourth found in Queens, & the most recent addition came with the house my family moved to. I used to do drop in visits for my neighbor, my mom’s friend, who also had adopted a lot of strays; I can remember seven of them in total, most of whom she had the same time! I just have one cat of my own now whom I adopted from the 9 Lives Cat Cafe through Misty Eyes, but I fed a lot of Monon cats daily before I got Pumpkin. I teach at a middle & high school downtown, so not only do I have time in the mid to late afternoons & weekends, but I have summers almost completely free. Just let me know when you need me & I can probably come through! My fiancée & I are very particular about Pumpkin, so we understand that pet owners can have specific expectations. Maybe your cat or dog only likes to play in a specific way, or maybe a bunch of ways & they pick a different one each day & I’ll have to figure it out. Pump’s pretty self sufficient, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t spoil her. We don’t see her drink from her automatic water fountain, but we still clean it & change the filter regularly. & don’t worry, having gone to college & graduate school, I’m very good at following directions, & learning to give directions over the past three years teaching has only made me better at it.
“I'm new to using Rover, also never had dogsitters for my boy, who is an anxious dog with new people coming into the house. I had Chloe come over to hang out with him for a drop-in while I was home, and he loved her.”

“Lydia is a very professional, kind, and caring sitter. My puppy was very shy and nervous at first, but after Lydia's first visit, Luca quickly bonded with her and gained confidence. I couldn't recommend anyone more highly. Lydia goes beyond the usual duties by dedicating quality time as part of her service. Luca and I look forward to working with her again.”

“Bibiana was so kind meeting Cruz 🐾 today! He loved her! I’m so glad I know I have someone so kind and reliable to help me with Cruz when I need it. I’m sure Cruz will be so excited to see his new friend in a few days!”

“Ryan was great! Super communicative, followed the dog specific instructions for both pups and gave info on how they both were and what they did! I picked him last minute for 2 days of drop ins and would use him again without question!”

“Stacey was so organized and friendly when taking care of my cat! She followed all the directions perfectly! And sent photos and notes daily. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Sebastian arrived early to get all of Bailey’s backstory and lore. He was super engaged and friendly and that it made it super easy to trust my best friend with him. highly recommend.”

About: I have had animals all of my life and have enjoyed taking care of them! I’ve had numerous cats and only one dog, but have been around dogs all my life. I’ve watched my neighbors’ dogs plenty of times, as well as friends and family members. I also have experience staying at people’s houses to dog sit. I have a lot of patience working with animals and enjoy interacting with them! I currently am a student at Indiana University and am home for the summer. I am shadowing on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but these times and days are super flexible. My schedule is super flexible so I can be available any day or time! At home, my dog hangs out around the house during the day, so long as someone is home. If he is home alone, he is out in his crate, in which he actually enjoys being in it. When we’re outside, he has a leash on or, if we’re in the backyard, is attached to his coord that allows him to hang out but not go too far!
“Alyssa did an outstanding job caring for my husky. She was flexible and stepped in on short notice, which we truly appreciated. She made sure he was well-fed, exercised, and very happy!!! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter :)”

“Kelsey has become our regular cat sitter for when we are out of town. My girls remember her each time and at this last visit started rolling over and asking her for belly pets signifying their trust for her. We love having a trusted pet sitter that can come to our home and take care of our beloved pets.”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by pets, and my family still jokes that I made friends with every animal in the neighborhood. My grandmother used to come home and find me sharing my ice cream or snacks with whatever furry visitor had followed me inside. I’ve always had a natural connection with animals. Over the years, I’ve cared for many friends’ and neighbors’ dogs, from energetic puppies to older, calmer pups who need a gentler touch. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely love forming bonds with every pet I meet. Whether it’s walks, playtime, snuggles, or keeping up with routines, I make sure each pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable. Taking care of animals isn’t just something I do, it’s something that comes naturally and brings me a lot of joy. I work full‑time, but I’m very flexible with my schedule and love fitting in pet care whenever I can. On weekdays, I’m available after 4:30 PM for drop‑ins, walks, or evening visits. If you contact me ahead of time, I can often be available as early as 2:30 PM to help with your pet’s routine. On weekends, my schedule is completely open. I’m available all day for drop‑ins, longer visits, or extra attention for your pets. I’m always happy to work with your needs and find times that fit your pet’s usual routine. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I live in a spacious loft with plenty of room for pets to relax, explore, and feel at home. While I don’t have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is handled safely through leashed walks and controlled outings. I’m very mindful of my surroundings and make sure every walk is calm, secure, and enjoyable. Inside my home, I have a dedicated room reserved specifically for pets, giving them a cozy and quiet space if they need downtime or a familiar area to settle into. I can easily and comfortably crate pets when needed, making sure they never feel lonely or stressed. I aim to create an environment where every pet feels safe, loved, and looked after just like they would at home
“Claire was absolutely wonderful! We needed Claire twice a day for an entire week. Our dog has been the only pet in our home for several years and she likes her alone time a lot so a Pet Hotel was not going to be a good fit for her. At the last minute I found Rover and decided to give it a try. It was super easy to look though our choices, contact which "petgivers" we liked, and then book the days and times we needed. Claire accepted our booking and even came over a couple hours later to meet Brownie, we were leaving the next day super early. Not only did Claire accept us with a last minute booking but she came to meet Brownie that night and she was super sweet and very professional. I can't say enough good things about her, so here are a few: - She was very prompt with the times we had scheduled. - She communicated with us about things, for instance the temp dropped to low 30's which we didn't plan for and had not turned on the heat, she contacted us to let us know the temp in the house was 50 degrees and asked if we wanted her to turn the heat on. - She went above and beyond our expectations. - Most importantly our Furry Family Member loved having her around. I would definitely use Claire again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to look in on their furry loved one.”

About: Hi! I’m Sydney! I work full-time at the Indy Zoo and provide pet care on the side. I’ve always had a deep love for animals! Over the last 5 years, I’ve cared for shy cats, puppies, senior dogs who need medications and extra help, and pets with anxiety, providing calm and patient care tailored to their needs. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine as I have lots of free time in the mornings and evenings to walk, play with, and care for animals. I dedicate focused time to ensure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved. I prioritize safety and cleanliness in both my home and client’s homes. I maintain secure environments, follow specific care instructions, and create calm spaces especially suited for pets with anxiety, ensuring pets feel comfortable and relaxed.

Five stars! Ellen took amazing care of our two dogs while we were out of town. Handling a diabetic dog requires extra attention, but she was consistently prompt, thorough, and professional. Our pups absolutely adore her. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!

Nouha came and checked on my pups for me while I was out of town. She did such a wonderful job, my dogs seemed to love her and she was very confident and willing to care for my sometimes finicky dogs. She was extremely communicative which I appreciate, was on time and followed the requests I had for the check ins. I really appreciate her and would recommend her to anyone else looking for a great sitter! Thank you Nouha 🙂

Zach was amazing with Ms. Bella while I was away. This was the first time I had left her for an extended period since she became blind, so I was naturally very nervous, but Zach made me feel completely at ease. He kept me updated daily, sent plenty of pictures, and gave her so much love and attention. It was clear Ms. Bella really enjoyed her time with him, and I'm grateful for the care he provided.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Indianapolis with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
