About: I have hands-on experience caring for a variety of animals, including large dogs, cats with different personalities and needs, and even rabbits. This has helped me become adaptable, patient, and attentive to the unique care each animal requires. Whether it’s managing the energy of larger dogs, understanding the subtle behaviors of cats, or providing gentle care for smaller animals, I always prioritize safety, comfort, and consistency. I believe every pet is an individual, and it’s important to take the time to observe and meet their specific needs. I approach all animals with the same level of care, attention, and respect that I give my own. I am currently taking a month off from work to allow myself some much needed self care time before I transition into pursing a Vet Tech degree. When I inevitably get back into a standard part time job, still allowing myself the time to focus on bettering myself- I will always ensure I have enough time to care and love for animals in my care as if they were my own. As of now, I will be available round the clock for care- as early as 6am and as late as 10pm. For all animals- I will ensure that I follow all instructions left- because we all care for our fur babies in our own ways. But what is non negotiable is ensuring they are safe and content at all times.
“Due to a recent change in employment it meant our dog was going to be left alone a few days a week. He has some separation anxiety and we’ve only had him 5 months so we were delighted to have found Haley to come and walk Boscoe and spend some time with him. Haley came prepared with questions for our meet and greet and was accommodating to our request to start a week earlier than we had originally requested. If it’s raining and he’s not feeling a walk she does enrichment activities with him. I love the recaps of their time together and the pictures she sends. Haley is very quick to respond to requests. We have a ongoing booking with Haley for weekly walks!”

“Gigi was very communicative during the week she watched our pups. She took great care of our pups and was flexible when we had a medical emergency with our one dog. We truly appreciated her watching our babies while we were out of the country.”

“Maddie has stepped up so many times when my other sitters fell through during my long shifts at the hospital. I always come home to a happy dog ❤️ I’m so thankful I found her!”

“Deontae has been a godsend! My large breed dog is too big for me to walk safely with my medical restrictions and he was going stir crazy with no way to exercise. He is loving his walks with Deontae now and is much calmer and happier all around.”

About: The cats my family had (& still have) when I was growing up at home were all strays. Two from a man experiencing homelessness in Manhattan, one abandoned in a park in the Bronx, a fourth found in Queens, & the most recent addition came with the house my family moved to. I used to do drop in visits for my neighbor, my mom’s friend, who also had adopted a lot of strays; I can remember seven of them in total, most of whom she had the same time! I just have one cat of my own now whom I adopted from the 9 Lives Cat Cafe through Misty Eyes, but I fed a lot of Monon cats daily before I got Pumpkin. I teach at a middle & high school downtown, so not only do I have time in the mid to late afternoons & weekends, but I have summers almost completely free. Just let me know when you need me & I can probably come through! My fiancée & I are very particular about Pumpkin, so we understand that pet owners can have specific expectations. Maybe your cat or dog only likes to play in a specific way, or maybe a bunch of ways & they pick a different one each day & I’ll have to figure it out. Pump’s pretty self sufficient, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t spoil her. We don’t see her drink from her automatic water fountain, but we still clean it & change the filter regularly. & don’t worry, having gone to college & graduate school, I’m very good at following directions, & learning to give directions over the past three years teaching has only made me better at it.
“Ethan was super understanding and flexible with my anxious dog and this anxious owner! He was also very understanding when I accidentally gave my old address. Highly recommend!”

About: Hey there! I’m a dedicated pet caregiver with 5+ years of professional experience offering pet sitting, dog walking, and drop in visits. I’ve cared for pets of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m calm, patient, and loving pets usually warm up to me right away! I’m reliable, attentive to routines, and always follow instructions carefully to keep your pets safe and happy. I have a 17 year old cat of my own named Merv that I absolutely love. He’s a sweetheart and gets along well with others. I’ve had many dogs like 2 English bulldog’s, and a Black Lab. They all lived a happy life and passed of old age. I’m hoping to welcome another cat or dog soon. I take pride in providing compassionate, high quality care every visit. Your pets will be in great hands! 🐾💛 I do pet care full time, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m available for walks, drop ins, and sitting throughout the week, with boarding available most days as well. I only accept one pet family at a time for boarding, so your pet will always have my full attention and care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority. It’s just me, my boyfriend, and my cat Merv at home, and I create a calm, loving environment. I’ve had two English Bulldogs and a Black Lab who lived long, happy lives, so I understand different needs and temperaments. I do not overbook and only care for one pet family at a time, ensuring a safe, low stress, and personalized experience. 🐾💛
“Lindi is amazing, I just had hip surgery and my one year old golden retriever Bruce has lot of energy needs his Daily walks.. Bruce loves her and she always on time…”
About: Hi there! A little about myself... My love of animals started at a very early age! I grew up on a ranch with a plethora of animals, always several dogs. Anywhere from German Shepherds to Pomeranians, I love ‘em all! My mother was a dog and horse trainer and breeder and I was her sidekick. I currently have a very sweet older Pomeranian, a younger Pomeranian and a Great Pyranese and have oodles of personal experience with obedience training, senior care and general doggie fun. I try to adjust my communication to my clients (sometimes you want a vacation from your pets too) and create an environment in which your pets don’t even notice you’ve been gone! ***Please see below for drop off, pick up times, what to bring in case of boarding*** For house sitting, I am available to stay with your pets when I am not at school and overnight. ***Please note currently I am only offering house sitting services due to a lack of space outdoor space and ideal setup. I am able to provide boarding for smaller dogs only(>15lbs)*** I am available most days, and usually last minute. That being said, I rely on a schedule so please be on time for drop off and pick up! Let me know what your pup needs and I’ll make sure he/she is taken care of, whether it be playing fetch in my large backyard, training with healthy treats, exploring the neighborhood, going for rides to the park, or having a lazy day napping with my Pomeranian.:) ***Please make sure to bring 3 things to keep your pooch comfortable: Food/bowl(if needed), leash (for adventuring) and bed/kennel (a place that smells like home). The reason I like to ask these be brought is 1. Changing diets can be stressful on the digestive system, 2. Not every leash fits every dog, and 3. Dogs use their nose much like we use our eyes, nervousness or excitement can be mitigated by the smells of home. Drop off can be as early as 6:30am and pick up as late as 8pm. Any earlier or later will need to modify the reservation to the prior/following day respectively.*** Pick up time can be up to a half hour window.(ie. 2-2:30) I do ask that a pick up time be set by the owner at drop off. Please arrive within your selected window to avoid late fees. When boarding, I like to keep any animals with me at all times because, well I honestly enjoy their company! I have a large fenced backyard and a large air conditioned house as well, so no matter the weather your pup will always be comfortable! When I am house sitting, I live full time at your home. My limitations are work related and we can discuss your expectations and your pet’s needs to make sure it’s a good fit. Please note, I am not available for full time house sitting requiring my presence 24/7.

“Josephine was great!! Very communicative and CeCe loved having her come by to walk her throughout the week when I was traveling! I would definitely recommend her as a dog walker/sitter as she was very attentive to CeCe and what she needed!”

About: Walk. Wag. Repeat. 🐾 Hi, I’m Sebastian! Animals have always been the center of my world, and my business, Silly Moose & Co, is named in honor of my late, beloved dog, Layla. Her nickname was "Silly Moose," and she taught me everything about patience, unconditional love, and the joy of a wagging tail. I founded this business to carry on her legacy by treating every pet I meet with that same "Moose-sized" love. 📬 The "Pet's Best Friend" Professional By day, I’m a Letter Carrier, which truly makes me a pet's best friend! I’m out in the community every day, rain or shine, and I’ve mastered the art of making friends with every pup on the block. My career means I am exceptionally reliable, punctual, and used to being active in all types of weather. 🐾 Rescue-Tested Experience When I’m not on my route, I’m dedicated to rescue work. I am a current volunteer at Sketchy Mutts and Underdogs, and I previously spent time with the ASPCA as a shelter walker and dog photographer. These roles have given me invaluable experience with all personality types—from the shyest "underdogs" needing a patient hand to high-energy pups ready for an adventure. 🐈⬛ Tailored Care for Cats While the dogs are out walking, the feline family members aren't forgotten! I offer tailored services specifically for cats. As a "servant" to two cats who rule my own home, I know that every cat is unique—whether they want high-energy laser chasing, gentle brushing, or just some quiet company. I’m happy to handle feedings, litter box maintenance, and plenty of "slow blinks." 🏠 My "Moose" Crew at Home My home is shared with Buttercup, my sweet 5-year-old blue nose Staffordshire Terrier, and my two feline house-rulers. Because I live with a Staffy, I am especially comfortable and experienced with "bully breeds" and larger, powerful dogs. 🤝 The Silly Moose Promise Whether it’s boarding, walking, or house sitting, I know your pets are your family. My background in hospitality and community work means I bring a high level of reliability, attention to detail, and clear communication to every booking. Ready to start the cycle? Let’s Walk. Wag. Repeat. I am a Letter Carrier for the United States Post Office, I love animals and will always make time to meet new friends. I am in a transition phase in my career post injury and am trying to be a full time pet friend. At Silly Moose & Co, my care philosophy is built on the cycle of Walk. Wag. Repeat. I believe that a happy pet is one that feels safe, stimulated, and understood. Here is how I ensure your furry family member gets the best experience: 1. Building Trust Through Patience Every pet has a unique "vibe." Drawing from my experience with Sketchy Mutts and Underdogs, I never force a connection. I use "slow blinks" with cats and respectful body language with dogs to let them come to me. Whether they are shy rescues or high-energy "Silly Mooses," I meet them where they are. 2. Structured Walks & Sensory Play As a Letter Carrier, I know the streets like the back of my hand. I don’t just "walk" dogs; I provide structured outings. This includes sniffing breaks for mental stimulation (sensory play) and consistent pacing to ensure they get the physical exercise they need. 3. Meticulous Routine & Safety Pets thrive on consistency. I stick strictly to your feeding, medication, and bathroom schedules. My background in hospitality means I have a sharp eye for detail—I check water bowls, ensure gates are latched, and keep litter boxes "deep-clean" fresh for my feline clients. 4. Communication is Key I know how much you miss them! You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you can see the "Wag" in action. I treat your home with the same respect I give my own, ensuring everything is secure and tidy. 5. Specialized Skills From handling "bully breeds" like my Staffy, Buttercup, to administering medications or even bathing a reluctant cat, I have the hands-on experience to handle the unexpected with a calm, steady hand.

About: Former doggy daycare employee, multi-year animal shelter volunteer, and pet sitter extraordinaire for friends and family. I love all animals big and small, but especially enjoy caring for dogs and cats. Not discriminatory toward any breed of dog. I have pretty flexible availability currently and do my best to review and update my calendar every day to ensure it is up to date. I am happy to stay overnight in your home if preferred, and/or do late night and early morning check-ins! I am reliable and understand I am fortunate to have the opportunity to care for your dog. I will be respectful of your privacy and space, and will treat your dog and home as if I am caring for my own.
“Khalil is the very best. He has the best work ethic and is always pleasant, reliable, and accessible. He also has great chemistry with animals and seems to truly enjoy working with them.”

About: My whole life, I’ve taken care of pets whether it’s been my own cats and dogs at home, helping neighbors while they’re out of town, or taking on paid pet-sitting jobs in my community. Each experience has helped me build trust, responsibility, and lasting friendships with both people and their pets. I treat every animal as if they were my own, making sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved. I’m currently an undergraduate student at New York University who greatly misses my golden retriever, Maple, who’s back home in the Midwest. Growing up with dogs has made me patient, responsible, and deeply caring toward animals of all kinds. Taking care of your pet wouldn’t just be a job for me and it would genuinely bring me joy and help fill the space that Maple has left while I’m away at school. I’d love to give your furry friend the same love and attention I give my own! I always make sure I take the time to play and cuddle with the pets I care for. Walking, feeding, and keeping up with bathroom breaks are important, but so is showing affection and attention! I want every pet I watch to feel comfortable, loved, and part of my routine while their owners are away. I’m patient and gentle with shy animals, but also playful and energetic with those who love to run around. I take safety seriously and always making sure doors and leashes are secure, routines are followed, and each pet’s individual needs are respected. Whether it’s a quiet night in or a long walk through the park, I try to make every visit something special for them.
About: i have taken care of both cats and dogs throughout the past few years, in and out of my own place. i am experienced in walking, feeding, and playing with them while their owners are away. my favorite part of making sure the owner feels secure and confident that their babies are in good hands is catering to specific needs. getting to know your animal is important to me! i work in an office mon-fri, but i am usually home in the evenings & all day on weekends. i’m also available for short or long-duration overnight stays. my partner, Daniel (a Rover sitter!), usually tags along in my sits as well. we live in an apartment, so for the comfort of your dog (or cat, if they’re a fan of the outdoors), i would be thrilled to make use of the environment that they are already familiar with. if you have a home with a yard, i’m sure getting some exercise in for the day would be no problem.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have always been responsible for taking care of them. I also have experience caring for animals out side of my own house. Family and friends have all trusted me with their babies and I always strive to provide the most positive experience. I am currently working a part time job and my schedule varies week to week but i have a pretty open schedule. I mostly work 4pm and after so I have a lot of morning availability but Im super flexible. I’m always going to try my best to meet your pets needs. I believe that animals deserve just as much respect as humans so i’m always going to be able and willing to play and cuddle with your pet or take them on a walk/to the park. I also 100% do not believe in hostility towards animals so your pet will always be handled gently!!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Indianapolis
Our dog loves Alyssa! She is flexible with our schedule and is often available on short notice. Our dog gets excited to see her every day. She is a good communicator and easy to work with. We also love getting the updates and how detail oriented she is with our dog. She knows when he gets overheated or has a wound on his paw and lets us know so we can pay close attention. Would highly recommend!

Snow walking… ❄️🦮 🤗. My Chloe looks so happy!! I am very thankful that I found you. I have never had a dog walker be so respectful of my home and my furbaby!! I was able to view you from my camera and was so impressed that you were very respectful as you took off your shoes and wiped my baby’s feet off as well as dry her from the snow. Looking forward to work with you in the future! Have a blessed day!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
