“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ CJ did an amazing job walking our dog! He even took the time out of his own schedule to come meet her beforehand, learn her personality and behavior, and make sure she was comfortable with him before the walk. That meant so much to us! CJ is professional, reliable, communicates quickly, and you can tell he genuinely knows and loves dogs. He has experience with all types of breeds, big or small, and made us feel completely comfortable trusting him with our fur baby. I highly recommend CJ to anyone looking for a trustworthy and knowledgeable dog walker. We will definitely be using him again! 🐾❤️”

“We had the great service of Gianna for the second time for dog walking services. She was comforting to us knowing that she would take care of our dog’s exercise needs while we were out of town again. She was always prompt and kept tabs on the weather. We hope to utilize Gianna’s services again in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was ten from a little beagle puppy to a Great Dane! No breed/dog is too big of a task for me. I love cats and have house sat countless times for both cats and dogs. I can’t wait to care for your furry friend! I am currently working part-time and have various times available. I update my schedule as often as possible. I live in West Indy and work downtown so most locations work well for me. Given patience and attention is the utmost importance in gaining trust with an animal. Understanding their body language and discerning their boundaries then respecting those boundaries is key to keeping a safe environment for your animal.
About: My 17 year old brownie passed in May 2026, and I had spent the last 15 years loving her, but her final 3 years caring for her in her old age. From cleaning the messes from an old bladder to hand-cooking her food for her allergies, I have learned the amount of care is different for each animal, and I am flexible with what is necessary to keep them happy. I am currently living a happy, unemployed life and excited to give your pet all the attention and time they need! Flexible on the weekends and weekdays. Your home is you and your pets’ safe space, and I respect every aspect of it and will keep it the way you left it. Clean, organized, and comfortable.
About: I have been obsessed with dogs since I was little. Always wanting to have one, pet one, and just interact with one. I currently have a GSD, who is a handful, that I love dearly. I’m currently working 12 hour shifts with a rotating schedule. My available days change every week, but I know my schedule very far out in advance. I am very mindful of doors being closed all the way before and after taking your furry baby for a walk. Will provide them with water and treats before and after. I can also put them back into their crate before leaving if required.
About: I am a rescue mom. Every other week, I volunteer my time to the local animal rescue helping unload donated dog and cat food from Chewy! Pet care fits naturally into my day—I’m a doctoral student with a flexible schedule, so I’m home often and able to give pets steady attention between classes and study time. I have my own 5 year old dog I take care of every day and am accustomed to a dogs routine! I have a fenced in yard and a very friendly dog to keep your dog company. When I am not home, my partner usually is!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, and parrots since I’ve been old enough to walk. I grew up with a plethora of different breeds and personalities of animals and have been able to connect with all of them. I currently work full-time in downtown Indianapolis, Monday-Thursday from 8 am-5:30 pm, so my availability would be outside of those hours for those days. Friday-Sunday, I have open availability. I have two cats of my own who are indoor-only. I am not able to bring outside cats or dogs into my own home.
“Morgan is so incredibly thoughtful and wonderful with our two fluff’s. She leaves very detailed reports and always checks in if unsure of anything. Thank you Morgan!!”

“Raven is very nice, quiet and unobtrusive. She has been flexible figuring where to walk my dogs with all the snow on the ground. I really look forward to the days she comes to walk the dogs!”

About: I have taken care of animals all my life, from cats to dogs. I have helped take care of my dogs at home by feeding them, bathing them, cleaning up after them, and administering their medicine. I am a graduate student here and hope to help out on weekends. My schedule can be busy, but I am willing to work around my schedule to best suit you and your pet! I would ensure that it is a safe environment, where dangers such as glass shattering or heavy objects are moved to safe places. I also want to ensure they feel comfortable, so taking the time for the animal to get to know me is important.
“Wendy has been fantastic walking Sally. Sally comes back happy and is extremely excited when she first sees Wendy. She is reliable and can work around schedules as needed. Would 100% recommend.”

“Sam was amazing! She was very communicative and always sent plenty of pictures and let us know how Penny was doing. This was our first time using rover and we would 100% use Sam again. Great experience! :)”

My days with your pet will be full of playtime, walks, cuddles, and lots of love! I love keeping pets active and entertained, but I’ll also make sure they have plenty of time to relax and feel comfortable. I’ll follow their normal routine, keep them company, and treat them like they’re my own! 😁 Safety and trust are very important to me when caring for your pet. I want every pet to feel comfortable, loved, and at home while they’re with me. I’ll always keep a close eye on them, follow any instructions you provide, and make sure their environment is clean, calm, and safe. About: Animals have always held a huge place in my heart! Since going to school in veterinary medicine, I’m experienced in caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. I love spending time with fur babies and giving owners peace of mind knowing they’re cared for. Extra Skills:: • Administering Oral Medications • Working with Senior Animals • Nail Trims (Dogs and Cats) • Anal Gland Expression (Dogs only) I’m currently working part time so I have flexibility! My goal is to have clients I develop a good relationship with. My top priority is that owners trust me and so do their fur babies! I feel it’s very important to give clients the peace of mind that their pet is going to get the care and attention they need! Exercise and enrichment is very important for pets and I enjoy being the one to give it to them.
About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life and have taken care of all different kinds of dogs. My grandfather trained police dogs so I am used to taking care of all style of dogs. I’m currently on working on the side so I have a very free schedule to offer services at all times. I’m home most of the day and I can choose my own schedule to work around providing pet care. My wife and I live in a gated community that is very dog friendly. There is a dog park in the middle of the complex. We have a very friendly corgi for your fur babies to play with. We allow dogs on the furniture and to sleep wherever they want to.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Speedway
Elle (Mary) is great with Kanga, who is often intimidating to strangers, and Kanga seems to like her very much. After only two walks, Kanga is looking forward to Elle’s visits and doesn’t seem to pull on the leash when walked by her. I feared the worst based on how newcomers tend to perceive Kanga, but I have been very pleased so far and look forward to many more!

Casey is a literal angel sent from heaven. From the very beginning, she talked to and treated my Indy girl as if she was her own. She was extremely flexible when it came to changing the visit count (we had a minor pet emergency so I had to remove a day of drop-in visits), and kept in constant communication throughout the reservation period. Her updates were HILARIOUS and so full of love. I looked forward to them each day. I will absolutely without a doubt book Casey again with zero hesitation. 11/10, 5 stars, etc. Hughly highly highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
