“Couldn’t ask for a better sitter than Kelsey for our cat. We received daily updates and fun pics and Kelsey also went above and beyond to keep our spoiled cat comfortable with her usual habits 😄. I’m happy to recommend Kelsey to anyone and I hope she will always be available when we need care for Rain.”

“Our 3 dogs used to dread when we would pull luggage out to go anywhere, because they knew they would be going to “doggy jail”. Now that we have used Destinee for the last year, they get excited! Our dogs are our life, and it speaks for itself that when we round the corner to her house they start squirming, ready to run inside to the toy bin or a puzzle. The photos we get have become one of our favorite things to anticipate when we are away and the communication is awesome. When I sprung on her we were at last minute adding a 4th to our pack, and was hoping to update our most recent booking she didn’t blink an eye and in fact checked in on us in the weeks prior, interested in knowing how he was integrating into our family. I cannot say enough good things about Destinee and her family, they hold a special place in my and my dogs hearts!”

“Rachel and Seth took great care of my dog and seemed to sincerely enjoy having him. Their communication with me was great and they were also accommodating of changes in my plans. Overall it was an excellent experience for me and Cal :)”

“She’s a very friendly person and good with pets. I really appreciate the way she keeps a track of the activities and so forth. Taking pictures is wonderful. And she have a VERY clean house. Love it!!! She’s great!!!!! I will be using her again.”

“Valerie was a lifesaver when I needed to book her and she had the availability last minute to watch after my 2 dogs. She updated me every single day under her care and would contact me when she had questions just to make sure that my dogs were comfortable and had the proper csre that they needed while I was away. She took them on walks and to the park (checked in with me first), and they had a great time with Valerie! Would absolutely recommend!”

About: Through 25+ years of living with small dogs, I’ve developed a strong understanding of their emotional needs, sensitivity to environment changes, and importance of routine, comfort, and individualized attention. Each pet receives dedicated, personalized attention tailored to their unique needs, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and truly at ease throughout their stay. My home is a fully climate-controlled, secure apartment with careful safety measures. If needed, I can also crate your dog to provide extra security and comfort. About: I love animals, especially dogs. I’ve had my own pets for years and helped care for others dogs any time I’ve been asked. I have a couple of weeks between work and starting school, so I will be staying home with my dog Koko and she would love some friends to hang out with as well! She is great with other dogs and has had plenty of experience meeting and getting along with new dogs. I have a decently sized fenced in backyard that will allow them to run around and play as much as they want throughout the day and plenty of room for them to relax inside when they need a break. I am in between work and school, so I will be home full time to keep your dog entertained in whatever way they need. My dog Koko loves to play with other dogs and we would be able to go for walks as needed as well. My girlfriend is also home during her off time of school and can help when needed as well. We both have a lot of experience for caring for different breeds of dogs. Someone will always be home to keep an eye on your pup! We have a fenced in back yard that has decent shaded areas. Our dog has some separation anxiety, so we are used to staying out and playing, so your dog won’t have any unsupervised time if that is a need/concern.
“Emily was great with our golden retriever! She sent us a pic of her after playing hard outside in the sprinkler. Its been two days after her stay and she is still worn out! Im happy she was in good hands and I didn't have to worry about her being well taken care of.”

“Tracy was great taking care of our big baby girl! I really appreciated the communication and photos she shared. Will definitely re book when we need pet care in the future.”

“Alisa was fantastic with Roxi, our Mini Australian Shepherd! Roxi can sometimes be a little unsure in new situations, but from the moment we walked in, she clearly felt comfortable. We received several texts and photos throughout the stay, which we really appreciated and gave us peace of mind while we were away. Communication was great and it was obvious Roxi was getting lots of attention and care. We would absolutely trust her to watch Roxi again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable sitter who can handle high energy dogs!”

About: I’m currently in my "borrow all the dogs" era. With three busy kids and nonstop activities, owning a dog isn't in the cards right now, but loving on yours absolutely is! I've been around dogs my entire life and have always been a dog lover. Growing up, my family had three dogs, a cat and a pig, which gave me years of experience caring for and interacting with pets of different personalities and needs. As an adult, I rescued two dogs from a local animal shelter. They were my first babies. My oldest dog passed away 3 years ago. As a special education teacher with nearly 20 years of experience, I am patient, dependable, and attentive. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and cared for while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they are in good hands. I’m a teacher on summer break trying to earn some extra money while I have the availability. During the summer and throughout the week, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care, walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I have no pets of my own currently, so I am able to give lots of love to your pet. I have a fenced in backyard and enjoy being outside. I maintain routines, such as following their feeding schedule, walks/playtime and potty breaks. Providing in-home care in a client’s home I respect the pet’s routine and the owner’s home. I’m happy to provide pictures, too. My goal is to help your pet feel secure, happy and well-cared for while in my care.
“CJ was absolutely amazing! My precious Zola has never stayed with anyone beside me and my mom, so I was sooo nervous about anyone watching her. Zola was also showing signs of being uncomfortable with strangers and growling so I was worried. However, CJ being an amazing dog trainer I knew that was exactly what my girl needed. After only one hour of meeting Zola was not pulling the leash anymore and liked CJ as well. When it was time to drop her off he gave her a space considering her temperament and looked after her. She sent videos and pictures to keep me update and I could enjoy my vacation knowing my baby was well taken care of. I’m DEFINITELY booking again and you should too! He’s legit.”

“Hugo had another wonderful stay with Richard! Flexible drop off and pickup times, great communication with pictures and videos sent daily. Also love seeing Hugo’s report card on how he did during the visit. Thanks again Richard for the great care of Hugo!”

“Stan takes great care of my dog, Daisy, with much love and attention to all the details that make her feel comfortable. She recently completed a 3-night stay at Stan's house and had a great time playing with his two dogs.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Speedway
Great first experience using Rover with Heather! We didn’t have anyone to watch our Goldendoodle and Aussiedoodle, so we found Heather on Rover—and we’re really glad we did. Her pricing was very reasonable, and throughout the stay she kept us updated with photos and videos, which we really appreciated. Yogi and Yoga seemed to truly enjoy their time with her and her pets, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We’ll definitely be reaching out to her again the next time we need someone to watch our dogs.

Brittany watched our 11 week old puppy and our 6 year old golden retriever while we were away in Italy. She is absolutely amazing and she kept us updated everyday on how both our boys were doing. We felt so content and good with our boys in her care. She loves our dogs like they are her own and we are soo grateful to have found her 😊

Angela really helped me out in a huge way with my last-minute request. This was my first time ever utilizing Rover, and I fear she's set the bar impossibly high for everyone else -- but goodness do I appreciate it! Right off the bat, my meeting with Angela was exceptional, with she and her fiancé both emanating excellent vibes and obvious caring demeanors...and their lab mix, Pepper, was amusing in her own right lol. During her time with Cheddar, Angela provided constant pictures and updates, while also inflating his ego with her lavish praise! She got him plenty of exercise, and Cheddar was happy as a clam when I picked him up following my trip! In fact, he barked as I approached the door before he saw who it was, signaling to me that'd he'd already grown to protect Angela's home just as if it were his own. I can't articulate enough graciousness toward Angela and the work she did to make my best friend feel loved and supported during my time away!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
