“Well, my puppy was very happy when we picked her up and exhausted, which is what I wanted. It was hard for me not being able to physically see where the dogs hang out but they have so many good reviews, and they sent me pictures which was awesome. And again my pup was very happy when I picked her up we’re gonna give it another try thanks again.”

“Truly would give 10 stars! Amanda was awesome. This is the first time I’ve used this app and must admit I had my reservations about leaving our dog with a stranger. Our pup seemed comfortable and loved her entire stay. After this experience we will definitely be using the app and Amanda again!!”

“Maelynn sent us pictures and my pets look happy. We have a flight delay and pets ended up having to stay extra 12 hours. We appreciate Maelynn being flexible and caring our pets.”

“Stan takes great care of my dog, Daisy, with much love and attention to all the details that make her feel comfortable. She recently completed a 3-night stay at Stan's house and had a great time playing with his two dogs.”

About: I’m currently in my "borrow all the dogs" era. With three busy kids and nonstop activities, owning a dog isn't in the cards right now, but loving on yours absolutely is! I've been around dogs my entire life and have always been a dog lover. Growing up, my family had three dogs, a cat and a pig, which gave me years of experience caring for and interacting with pets of different personalities and needs. As an adult, I rescued two dogs from a local animal shelter. They were my first babies. My oldest dog passed away 3 years ago. As a special education teacher with nearly 20 years of experience, I am patient, dependable, and attentive. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and cared for while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they are in good hands. I’m a teacher on summer break trying to earn some extra money while I have the availability. During the summer and throughout the week, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care, walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I have no pets of my own currently, so I am able to give lots of love to your pet. I have a fenced in backyard and enjoy being outside. I maintain routines, such as following their feeding schedule, walks/playtime and potty breaks. Providing in-home care in a client’s home I respect the pet’s routine and the owner’s home. I’m happy to provide pictures, too. My goal is to help your pet feel secure, happy and well-cared for while in my care.
“Shea watched my dogs numerous times and was the best sitter ever. She was super accommodating since I was usually flying in and out at weird times. My bigger dog was best friends with hers, her dog Vanta is super friendly and gave my dog a workout in her fenced yard. Her child was great with my smaller dog mophie, they ended up best friends by the end of it and used to cuddle all the time! Unfortunately I had to move away but would 1000% recommend her!”

“She was amazing to take care of our dogs. We were on a vacation and left them with Christine. She sent pictures and videos every day and our dogs were so happy to stay with her. We were highly recommend her and we would love to book with her again.”
“Sharon did an amazing job with my boy Dave! He was well cared for and and very happy when I picked him up. Her communication and daily pics were on point. I couldn't ask for a better sitter and will use again!”

“Samantha was great! She sent me pictures and updates everyday without my having to ask. Her home was clean and her dog was friendly. I will definitely utilize her services again!!”

“Stephanie was so kind and warm and sent so many videos to ease my separation and give me security while my pets were there. They had a great time and felt at home. I could tell by the candid photos she took and them playing. She was very accommodating and forgiving as they ripped around her home playing. I would recommend her to anyone. Her dog is very gentle and patient with my young silly pets.”

“This was our first time having Celestial look after our Arlo. He was nervous at first, just because it was a new environment and he’s a 1yr old, but it did t take him long to get acclimated and have a great time. Celestial was great in looking after our puppy and will use her again.”

“Jacklyn took amazing care of our dog Mac! She provided thorough updates and pictures. He was clearly well taken care of while we were gone and we would definitely use her for future needs!”

“Diana and Kevin were great!! This was the first time leaving our puppy Mabel so I was a little nervous but there was no reason to be. Diana took Mabel on walks and sent many updates. She replied to my messages quickly and was very responsive. We already have them booked for a future weekend getaway. Highly recommend!”

“Debby and her family took great care of Colt! He came home happy and healthy. Debby was very easy to communicate with and provided plenty of updates and pictures. We would definitely book again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Plainfield
Emily and her family took great care of our Freeney. We had to make a change or two, and she was extremely accommodating to our needs. Freeney had a lot of fun playtime and I feel that she really enjoyed herself in Emily‘s care. We will be using Emily again in the near future.

Claudia has been an absolutely wonderful sitter for Phoebe, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care and attention she provides. She is reliable, communicative, and clearly has a natural connection with animals, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Phoebe was happy, well-cared for, and comfortable the entire time, which says everything about Claudia’s dedication and kindness. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!
This was the first time I've left my dog with a stranger, so I was a bit uncertain about a two-night stay. But from the first phone call, to dropping my dog Stormy off, to text updates to finally picking Stormy up, the experience couldn't have been better. Hannah instantly made me feel at ease, and her love for animals is evident. Hannah even introduced Stormy to her own children - and little kids were a new experience for Stormy. But all went REALLY well and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hannah nor to place Stormy in her care again :)

I can't recommend Mackenzie enough! From the moment we met, it was clear that they genuinely love animals and treat them like family. They took care of my dog, Tillie, while I was out of town for a few days, and I was so impressed by the level of attention, care, and communication throughout. Every day, I received photo updates and little notes about how Tillie was doing—whether it was a fun walk in the park, cuddle time on the couch, or playtime with toys. It gave me such peace of mind knowing my pup was in loving hands. When I returned, Tillie was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I know Tillie loved playing with her dogs as well. If you're looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate dog sitter, look no further than Mackenzie. We'll definitely be booking again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
