“Our dog loved staying with Nicole & her family! She was responsive & sent us pictures and updates daily! She made sure that our dog felt like he was part of their family! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a safe family to watch their family while they are away! I will be using Nicole again in the future!”

“I do not have enough wonderful things to say about Tilmer and his family! He had fantastic communication, and photos everyday with an update! I felt like my pup truly fit into their family and was so well loved over her week stay! Next time I go out of town I won’t have to even think about where my fur baby will stay, Tilmer!!”

“Great sitter, Xena was in great shape and happy upon pickup. Communicated well without being overbearing. Respected my concerns and addressed them. Would recommend and use again.”

“Brook was an absolute lifesaver for my dog and me! From our first introduction, it was clear she genuinely cares about animals. She took the time to get to know my dog’s personality, routines, and even his little quirks. While I was away, Brook sent sweet updates and adorable pictures that made me smile and feel totally at ease. My dog came home happy, relaxed, and full of energy—he obviously had a blast with her! If you want someone who treats your dog like family, Brook is the best choice out there!”

“Natasha was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Beans! From the very beginning, she was kind, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure Beans was happy and comfortable. We loved getting updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that Beans was well cared for and received plenty of attention and love. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would happily book Natasha again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter. Thank you, Natasha, for taking such amazing care of Beans! 🐾💕”

“We had a planned trip and had never used a dog sitter before (just a traditional kennel) and we had a new puppy and a rescue senior we were worried about them feeling abandoned…..so we searched thru many people on Rover and found Deborah and Jeffrey….and were so glad we did! They were perfect! They treated our fur babies like they were at a resort and made sure they were having their own vacation with full house access (of their house!) We got full low down on everyone’s adventure. You can truly tell they love doggies and what they do!! We will definitely use them again!!!!!! Thanks guys!!”

“I think if given the choice Phoenix would live with Sarah and Justin, she loves them to death and we do too! She had the best (almost) two week vacation of her life at their house!”

“Absolutely the BEST! Our dog was treated like family and loved. Amazing communication, received pictures and updates while we were away. Highly recommend and would definitely use again.”

“my two dogs and I really enjoyed our meet and greet with Bowen! Bowen has a calm energy about her that my dogs felt very comfortable with. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my overnight care at her home due to family needs, but I did want to leave a review about my two dogs and my interactions with her. They were wonderful and I do plan to use her in the future!”

“Nicole has a great space for pups, and she's very kind and knowledgable about how to care for animals. Fin had a great time with her and her big boy Gus. He must have played so hard because he went right to sleep when I brought him home.”

About: I grew up with and trained a golden retriever mix and have dogsat for numerous friends with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and abilities. My husband and I are dog lovers and adventurers to the max. We would have a dog of our own if we didn't travel so much, but that's why we love dog sitting! We would love to meet your furry friend! A regular weekday involves a morning, afternoon, and evening walk. We'll do some playing in the fenced-in yard or go for a run, eat dinner, and have another walk before bed. We have a fenced-in yard and a guest room with a soft bed for your dog. We can adjust our activities based on the level of training and social skills in your pup!
“Wonderful people, they loved being there and played tons. Took wonderful care of them, we loved the photos and the updates so much! Would 100% recommend boarding with them, we will definitely book again if we come back out that way.”

“The duo took in my very nervous babies at the last minute. That matters because sometime life happens and preparation meets unexpected events. They are with me now and it is all worth it.”

“My labradoodle, Dory, stayed with Heather for one week. I think Dory enjoyed her stay. She had another dog to play with there. Dory chilled out on Heather’s couch in the evenings. Dory got along with Heather’s daughters. All in all, Dory had a week of fun.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bargersville
Melissa, was great with Pyper. This is the first time we have left our pup with someone from Rover. The first time we ever boarded Pyper was 4 years ago at a doggie daycare, that was so traumatic that we decided never to do that again. We are glad we found Melissa on Rover, we would definitely request her services again. She sent photos and updates. Our pup was clearly loved on and attended to while we were away for 6 days. This experience was far less stressful for our pup and we felt a lot better leaving her with a family than boarding her. Melissa was reassuring and understood our concerns/worries about leaving Pyper. This was a positive experience and we do hope to be able to utilize Melissa's services again in the near future. Cris and Ann

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
