“Truly would give 10 stars! Amanda was awesome. This is the first time I’ve used this app and must admit I had my reservations about leaving our dog with a stranger. Our pup seemed comfortable and loved her entire stay. After this experience we will definitely be using the app and Amanda again!!”

“Victoria does a fantastic job of taking care of our dog, Bailey. Victoria provides regular updates, and I know Bailey loves the attention he receives. We'll definitely be booking Victoria again.”

“Debby is AWESOME!!! She adopted our Ollie into her family for 4 days!!! She gave me regular updates & was super flexible & accomodating!! I knew Ollie had a GREAT visit because as I picked him up he walked back over to Debby without prompting to receive one last pet on the head. Debby deserves at least 10 stars!!!! We will definitely stay with her again!!!”

“Shea watched my dogs numerous times and was the best sitter ever. She was super accommodating since I was usually flying in and out at weird times. My bigger dog was best friends with hers, her dog Vanta is super friendly and gave my dog a workout in her fenced yard. Her child was great with my smaller dog mophie, they ended up best friends by the end of it and used to cuddle all the time! Unfortunately I had to move away but would 1000% recommend her!”

About: I’m currently in my "borrow all the dogs" era. With three busy kids and nonstop activities, owning a dog isn't in the cards right now, but loving on yours absolutely is! I've been around dogs my entire life and have always been a dog lover. Growing up, my family had three dogs, a cat and a pig, which gave me years of experience caring for and interacting with pets of different personalities and needs. As an adult, I rescued two dogs from a local animal shelter. They were my first babies. My oldest dog passed away 3 years ago. As a special education teacher with nearly 20 years of experience, I am patient, dependable, and attentive. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and cared for while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they are in good hands. I’m a teacher on summer break trying to earn some extra money while I have the availability. During the summer and throughout the week, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care, walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I have no pets of my own currently, so I am able to give lots of love to your pet. I have a fenced in backyard and enjoy being outside. I maintain routines, such as following their feeding schedule, walks/playtime and potty breaks. Providing in-home care in a client’s home I respect the pet’s routine and the owner’s home. I’m happy to provide pictures, too. My goal is to help your pet feel secure, happy and well-cared for while in my care.
“Celestial was amazing! My doggie is a nervous little guy and takes a while to get comfortable, and he got there, thanks to the excellent care he received from Celestial. Will definitely reach out again when we need care.”

“Heather took amazing care of Otis during his ten night stay! I would absolutely love to leave him with her again. She was very good about sending pictures to provide peace of mind along the way.”

“Our first experience using the Rover app and it went very well! This is the way to go for short or long term pet boarding. Great communication! Our dogs were well taken care of and had plenty of space to play. Highly recommend Destinee!”

“Amanda and her family did an amazing job watching our two dogs while we were out of the country. One of our dogs is a puppy and not many people would take on this challenge, but they went above and beyond to take good care of her and give us peace of mind that she was in good hands. They were flexible with last minute change of plans as well. Would definitely use them again in the future.”

“Jurnee A FIVE STAR Rover Dog Sitter. Highly recommend. Our first stay over for our Toby since we just moved to Whitestown IN. A very nice and kind sitter. Our Toby loved playing with her dog-friendly puppies. Blessings Steve & Debi”

“Kristle made my first time leaving my baby much easier for me. My Luca had SO much fun with her! Highly recommend letting Kristle spoil your babies when you’re away! I will be a returning customer when I head out of town again! THANK YOU KRISTLE!!”

“Sharon was awesome, she took good care of my dogs and was really flexible when I had to adjust my schedule due to a missed flight. I definitely recommend her.”

“Jackson was courteous and responsive and even waived a meet and greet based on our dogs pictures and videos which was greatly appreciated given our tight schedule and distance. Obi looked happy at pickup and we have no concerns. My daughter would’ve loved more pictures of Obi while we were away, but no real complaints here! Thank you!”

“Jackie was amazing with our pup as always! It is such a relief going on vacation and knowing our pet is in great, loving hands with her. I would highly recommend her and will always use her for my future boarding needs!”

“Literally the most incredible sitter. I had just gotten a little puppy, Elvis, recently and was terrified to leave him with a sitter for the first time. I would trust Sam with my life!!! She sent me so many photos and updates, and followed my list of things to a T. She is so awesome and I will definitely be booking her again. Such a great sitter, and I can tell she’s a great person too!!! And I think my dog loved her too hahah!!”

“Susan provided the perfect environment for my senior beagle. She and her husband are retired so they’re able to be with your pet 24 /7 . Bess received lots of ear and belly rubs and love sleeping by their fireplace. There are no small children running around and she has a nice fenced in backyard. my beagle thoroughly enjoyed herself and I don’t think she really wanted to come home.”

About: I grew up taking care of several cats, and as a mom I helped my 4 daughters raise and train for obedience 3 dogs. Recently, I worked for 3 years at a (small animal & equestrian) veterinarian clinic in the front office. I take care of walking, feeding, and loving on my neighbors’ pets on a regular basis. My day job is somewhat flexible on start and end times, most afternoons I work from home and I can fit in breaks when neeeded I will adapt to your pet’s personality and level of desire for interaction. When taking your pet out, I am mindful of whether or not to let them interact with other pets and people.
“Melissa was great! She gave frequent updates on our dogs while boarding with her. She is very fast to respond to questions. Would definitely book her again for our next trip!”

Molly's stay went well by all accounts. There was a small crew of dogs there for her to play and interact with. She seemed like she had a good time during her stay. Anne was great to deal with. She responded quickly and I appreciated her flexibility for pickup. I would recommend her for any future dog sitting needs. Thank you.

Debby and her family were wonderful! Our dog was so spoiled at their home and came home happy and tired :) Debby made sure to send plenty of pictures and communicated any necessary updates throughout the week. It always makes it easier leaving when you know your dog is in good hands.
Emily and her family took great care of our Freeney. We had to make a change or two, and she was extremely accommodating to our needs. Freeney had a lot of fun playtime and I feel that she really enjoyed herself in Emily‘s care. We will be using Emily again in the near future.

This was the first time I've left my dog with a stranger, so I was a bit uncertain about a two-night stay. But from the first phone call, to dropping my dog Stormy off, to text updates to finally picking Stormy up, the experience couldn't have been better. Hannah instantly made me feel at ease, and her love for animals is evident. Hannah even introduced Stormy to her own children - and little kids were a new experience for Stormy. But all went REALLY well and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hannah nor to place Stormy in her care again :)

Sept - 2025 End of summer vacation. Our dog Lila had a great time staying with Janet and her family for 9 days. Our dog is a nervous Velcro dog and Janet’s dog Justice helped Lila feel right at home and she didn’t seem stressed at all over time we were away and when came to pick her up. We would use Janet’s service again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
