“Addison took such wonderful care of our dog Lily, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Addison was incredibly attentive, kept us updated, followed all of Lily’s care instructions, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Lily came home happy, comfortable, and well cared for, which means everything to us. We would absolutely trust Addison with Lily again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and thoughtful pet sitter. Thank you Addison, for taking such great care of our little girl!”

“Mallory was great with machiatto and I was given several updates through the trip. She was super accommodating due to unfortunate flight delays as well. Thank you again!!!”

“This is the first time leaving our dog with a sitter other than someone that we know. She always answered any of my questions immediately both before and during the stay. Benji doesn't always get along with other dogs so I was a little apprehensive. Mary put our minds at ease at the meet and greet. She introduced other dogs gradually and all went well. Mary sent us pictures and updates almost daily. I wouldn't hesitate to leave Benji with her again. Thanks, Mary for being such a loving sitter. Marianne & Phil”
“Rachel and Seth were great with Mellie. Their schedules are super accommodating and Mellie loved their pool, sunny backyard, and front yard windows. She would love to go back any time!”

“Jett had a wonderful time! I think he wanted to stay longer & play 😂 We were thrilled to get tons of pictures and videos of our baby as well as really good communication while we were away. Thank you for taking such good care of him and I know he’s looking forward to the next play date!”

“Outstanding care of our beloved Schnauzer! This was our first time using Rover and we couldn’t be more pleased with Chris. Our dog came home happy instead of traumatized when she’s had to stay at kennel. Chris even sent pictures and updates while we were gone. Thank you!”

“Our first experience using the Rover app and it went very well! This is the way to go for short or long term pet boarding. Great communication! Our dogs were well taken care of and had plenty of space to play. Highly recommend Destinee!”

“Ash and her Husband, Mike, and their two beautiful children were a great match for our dog for the week we had to find boarding. They communicated very well. They were very sweet and truly loved our dog. It is always reassuring when the hosts love our dog just as much as we do! If I could give 10 stars I would. We are very grateful for them and will surely use their services again.”

“Molly's stay went well by all accounts. There was a small crew of dogs there for her to play and interact with. She seemed like she had a good time during her stay. Anne was great to deal with. She responded quickly and I appreciated her flexibility for pickup. I would recommend her for any future dog sitting needs. Thank you.”

“We were so pleased to have Jane take care of our dog over the holidays. She provided daily photos, videos and updates. Milo was clearly happy in her care and we would definitely have him stay with her again!”

“Natasha was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Beans! From the very beginning, she was kind, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure Beans was happy and comfortable. We loved getting updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that Beans was well cared for and received plenty of attention and love. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would happily book Natasha again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter. Thank you, Natasha, for taking such amazing care of Beans! 🐾💕”

“Jackson was courteous and responsive and even waived a meet and greet based on our dogs pictures and videos which was greatly appreciated given our tight schedule and distance. Obi looked happy at pickup and we have no concerns. My daughter would’ve loved more pictures of Obi while we were away, but no real complaints here! Thank you!”

“Clara did a really good job at taking care of my two boys. I could noticeably tell they were both calm and relaxed when I picked them up. I will definitely rebook. Thank you Clara”

“Gabrielle watched our 8 year old Goldendoodle for the first time and we are very happy. She was responsive to all my questions, and sent pictures every few days. When we picked her up she was calm and happy. Would absolutely recommend Gabrielle.”

“Sarah and Justin and super! They love your dog just like their own! Great about providing updates and pictures! Our doggie came home happy as could be! Will definitely book again!”

Highly recommend Brian to board your pet. He provided great care to our Max for entire week. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with Brian with no worries while on our vacation. He kept us updated with pictures on how well Max was adjusting, thanks again Brian!

Hope and her husband did amazing with Brody! She had great communication before and during his stay and showed so much love and care for Brody. All of his specific routines and needs were met perfectly, and Hope asked lots of questions to make sure his life remained as normal as it can be when he was away from home. She went above and beyond to make sure he stayed safe and healthy by handling a surprise tick situation wonderfully (she found a tick in her home after a walk and proceeded to check him for ticks daily). Brody had a great time on ”vacation” at Hope’s, I would bring him back any time!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
