“I have two Great Danes, one with special needs and Bailey did a great job while pet sitting! She was on time, polite and my house was exactly like I left it when I returned. She replied promptly to my booking request and follow-up questions and to my messages during her stay.”

“Highly recommend!!! Anne followed our instructions, kept good care of our house, cleaned up after herself & made our pup feel SO LOVED! Daily updates & quick responses. Already have her booked again.”

“Regina watched our dog and house sat for us recently - and was awesome! Very communicative, responsive, and caring. Our dog is terrified of storms, and Regina was able to comfort her through some strong ones! Would definitely hire Regina again!”

“Madison is an absolutely fantastic pet sitter! She took amazing care of Lincoln, Buster, and Cora during our week-long trip. The daily photo updates she sent were so wonderful to receive and gave us such peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“This is my first time using Stephanie. She is kind, considerate and truly caring of your pet. She took great care of my diabetic and deaf Boston Terrier. I plan on using her again. I highly recommend her!”
“Kia was so wonderful with our dog, Penny. She gave updates with photos and videos. Asked questions that showed she cared, for example, asking if Penny and her could play fetch outside with or without a leash. She was responsive, friendly, professional and wonderful to work with for the whole process.”

“Allison was amazing! She took great care of our boys and was a thoughtful communicator throughout our trip. Loved getting updates! Our dogs were well cared for and even got new training skills and she left the house in great shape too. We’ll definitely seek her out again next time we need someone to watch our sweet pups!”

About: I have had many dogs since I was a kid. As an adult, I have had 5 dogs over the years. They have always been adopted from a shelter or rescue group, plus one dog from an elderly friend. I have adopted 2 puppies and the others were several years old when they were adopted. I love their companionship. I walk our current dog as many days/week as possible. She is my travel buddy! I have crate-trained the puppies and provided as much love and care as possible for our senior dogs, including providing medication. My animals are my children and are very spoiled! I'm currently unemployed so available pretty much any time to care for animals. Once I find a full-time job, my schedule may change a bit but if my job is remote then I would have a lot of flexibility to care for the animals. I have a fairly large fenced yard for running and playing. Trees for observing the squirrels! There are 2 outside cats that do not really mind other dogs. My dog has done very well with other dogs as long as they are not aggressive or too big. I also live in a nice neighborhood where dogs can be walked, including a nice, wooded area with a great trail for walking. I also live close to Eagle Creek park where dogs could be walked.
About: I am currently a proud parent to two cat, so I’m very well versed in their play styles and respecting their boundaries. However I spent my childhood with a loving dog who recently passed away. Navigating his senior years taught me that care isn’t just about walks or treats but about patience, sometimes administering medication, and recognizing subtle cues of a senior pet that may need a little extra comfort. Whether your pet is a high energy pet or senior pet who needs a gentle hand, I provide intuitive, dedicated, and delicate care that I’d want for my own. I’m currently a college student, but have lots of time to care for your pets! I’m available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 PM-4:00 PM or 5:30 PM-10:00 PM. Thursday- Sunday I’m available anytime after 7:00 PM. Whatever your pets need, I have it covered and their safety is always my number one priority. From double checking that every gate is latched and every lease is secured/correctly on to closely monitoring your pets for any sign of discomfort, ill treat your home and your pets with the highest level of care. Whether it’s following a strict medication schedule or navigating a high energy walk, I’m prepared for any situation!

“Heather was brave enough to house sit our cane corso for us, knowing he was going to be scared of her and not likely to warm up to her. She was very patient with him. She said he did finally come take a treat from her but immediately ran away. This was probably the best experience we’ve had with him as he was able to go in and out on his, and he ate every meal after she would leave. We’re very grateful for her!”

“Viviane was a blessing. She accepted our job after another sitter cancelled at the last minute. She was prompt, professional, but extremely personable and very caring with Diesel. She came by a day before the sitting appointment to meet Diesel. He took to her promptly. When she returned to sit with him, he ran to her as if he was her dog. Will definitely be using Viviane again. We would strongly recommend Viviane for your pet sitting needs.”

“Cannot say how grateful I am to have found Tara to watch my Copper, she does an amazing job and I cannot thank enjoy my trips more knowing he os happy and taken care of. Amazing sitter”

“Laura did a great job staying at our house for a week taking care of our 13 week old lab puppy! It was a big ask, and her communication was great and the dog and home were in perfect order when we got back.”

“We left our precious Pomeranian with Leah for eight days, and felt confident that our pup was in good hands. We were not wrong. Leah was conscientious and reliable, getting to know our pup more each day, and they felt totally comfortable with each other after a short time. Leah was responsible and followed all of our directions to a T. She stayed in our home and took fantastic care of the house as well as the dog. We will continue to use her as our dog sitter and highly recommend her services.”

“Basma is an incredible sitter and I would highly recommend her for any furry friend!!! She watched my recently adopted dog for four days and really put my mind at ease during my trip. I received many updates on the status of my dogs, including the cutest videos and photos, and I knew she was taking great care of my pup. My dog will definitely miss the undivided attention and love Basma gave him and we will definitely be calling her again in the future!”

Enzo, Lina & Scrat had a wonderful weekend with Bailey, a lovely lady who truly looked after all the fur balls and our home. Always wonderful to come home to home as clean and tidy as it was left along with happy pets. We'll see Bailey for a return stay on a few weeks :)

Damica went above and beyond our expectations for a dog sitter! We came home to a very happy and healthy dog. She did a great job keeping us updated with photos and messages and she did a great job handling our very stubborn pup. We will definitely be asking her to dog sit again!

She came by a day before the sitting appointment to meet Diesel. He took to her promptly. When she returned to sit with him, he ran to her as if he was her dog. Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Zionsville on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,533 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Zionsville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Zionsville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Zionsville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Zionsville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
