“Brittany was great with my pup! She was very responsive in booking, came over and met her, and took great care of her. She was an amazing houseguest and I was so thankful to have her. Will 100% book her again!!”
“Elyse was absolutely amazing. She stepped in last minute and took such great care of our dog, Eva, while staying at our home. Communication was solid, the house was well cared for, and Eva was clearly happy and comfortable the entire time. It gave us total peace of mind knowing everything was handled so well. We’re incredibly grateful and would 100% trust Elyse again. Highly recommend.”

“Malika was amazing. We had a couple hiccups while we were away with security system batteries and some mail and Malika was gracious enough to be a helping hand beyond the house-sitting/petsitting duties. She also had cleaned to make sure we came home to a comfortable home after our flight. Much appreciated! And the animals were happy too!”

“Highly recommend Lauren! It was clear from the meet-and-greet that she has a lot of experience. She handled our two dogs with ease and sent lots of updates and photos. A truly stress-free experience for us.”

“Kristan did great watching our dog at our house for the weekend! Our dog is a little particular and requires lots of walks for her energy and Kristan was great meeting her needs. She gave her all the attention she needs and gave us updates. She also left our house all neat and clean! Definitely recommend her!”

“Michaela did an amazing dog with our dog and cat. Our cat was just getting over a sickness and our dog was adopted one week before she came to sit for us. She eased this anxious pet parents mind and sent me updates daily on our sweet boys. We will definitely be booking again in the future ☺️”

“Brady went above and beyond taking care of our dogs through a medical situation. He was very communicative and responded promptly to any requests! He also didn't hesitate to include our bonus animals (aquariums/caged) in his care.”

About: I have had dogs and cats virtually my whole life. I am very experienced in feeding, giving pills, taking pets outside, etc. I have worked at Fishers Veterinary Hospital for a little under a year now as part of the patient care team. I am heading off to IU in the fall to major in Biology with a Pre-Vet track. I would love to help care for your pets! I currently work part-time at a veterinary hospital and receive my schedule a month in advance. Because of this, I can usually plan ahead and provide reliable availability. Feel free to reach out with your dates, and I’ll be happy to let you know if I’m available! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Through my experience working at a veterinary hospital, I have learned how to recognize signs of stress, illness, or discomfort and how to handle animals calmly and safely. I will carefully follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions and provide updates so you can feel confident while you’re away. I treat every pet with patience, compassion, and the same level of care I would want for my own pets.
“Wanda is great with our pups! She was knowledgeable and willing to give medicine to our dogs and her rates are affordable. She sent several pictures and even brought some of her home made treats to our meet and greet. We will be using Wanda again!”
“Asia was fantastic with our pup, Remi. This was our first time using Rover and we could not be happier with our experience. Asia communicated with us leading up to and throughout our trip, when we got home our house was just as we left it and our dog was clearly not stressed at all. We’ve already booked with Asia for our next trip and will be using her services regularly!”

About: From walking, feeding, or just making sure they have enough attention from each visit. I have encountered all types of dogs throughout my family visits and dealing with stages/problems that come with age. I'm currently attending college at Marian University, but will graduate in May and should have a completely free schedule from that point on. I have access to a vehicle and willing to change my time/schedule to fit sitting for your pets. I have four dogs to deal with in my family and I'm use to dealing with large dog piles. However, I will spend my time making sure each one gets attention
“Sarah was wonderful with my pets, and was very responsive and helpful during my last minute trip! I came back to some very happy boys and she was sure to update me as I was away with pictures and messages about all three pets.”

About: I love animals and pet care I grew up around it, helping foster pets of all kinds. I’m an experienced pet sitter who will give the up most care to any of my clients! My job allows me freedom to make my own hours. I have a very flexible schedule during the week and can make myself available for all pet sitting needs! If available meet clients and pets prior to visit to help create a bond. Go over instructions. Send text updates to client. Double check everything. Communicate when/if needed.
About: **We’re fully insured and pet first-aid certified.** Being a work-at-home mom of two pets gave me a flexible schedule. I have experience caring for puppies and have cared for my dog since he was 8 weeks old. I have pee pads and an indoor toilet for rainy days or puppies that are still learning their ways. Doggy customers are kept entertained with different types of interactive toys, sniffing walks, and fun trips to our nearby dog park! We understand it might be hard sometimes, and we are here to help! It's always a good time to have other doggies join our daily routine. He is fed twice a day, in the morning and evening, and enjoys plenty of time playing in our fenced backyard. I have a very flexible, remote work schedule, and I like to distract myself from screen time by hanging out with my pets. I ensure all pets have free access to water, are fed measured meals on schedule, and have an equal amount of attention and belly rubs! There is an indoor security camera for monitoring if I am ever away for last-minute urgent matters, your pet will be crated for safety in this case. All pets in my house, including doggy customers, have to be current on vaccinations and flea & tick treatment. Last but not least, photos are shared with owners with a brief update instantaneously during the stay!
“We’re very grateful for the wonderful care Abby provided for our two pampered Maine Coons while we were away on a six-day vacation. From the start, Abby was communicative, reliable, and kind—and our cats clearly felt it too! We came home to happy cats and our house just as we left it—Abby is trustworthy, kind, and great with animals. Five stars!”

“Tyler was amazing. He made me feel very comfortable leaving my girls with him. He sent pictures and updates, which I always greatly appreciate. He was great in taking them to the dog park to run off some energy, even in this freezing cold! I would absolutely recommend Tyler and will definitely be booking with him again. Thank you, Tyler!”

“Alexis and her family were simply outstanding with our Louie. He’s a puppy and not great at potty training. She got him going outside and consistently taking walks. I cannot say enough about how wonderful she was with him. I will be using her every chance I can going forward.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fishers
Amber took such good care of my dog. As my dog is older, there were a few challenges that were unexpected and she handled everything with such care and kindness. Amber was excellent with communication and took photos regularly. She gave my dog the necessary meds as well. Amber also took on some house sitting duties; she brought in my mail, took out the trash and kept everything very clean. I highly recommend Amber if you need a pet sitter! Very caring! Very professional! Thank you Amber!
Breanna was so kind and caring to our dog, Maddie, while we were gone for a week. She is so genuine and sweet!! She kept the house tidy and was prompt with communication. She sent photos and gave us updates. She also administered her oral medications! We appreciated having piece of mind while out of town.

We had an absolutely wonderful first experience using Shaylee and her husband for dog sitting, and we could not recommend them more highly. From start to finish, their attention to detail, communication, and reliability made it so easy for us to truly relax while we were away. They followed every instruction perfectly and were exactly on time for each visit, which gave us so much peace of mind. The updates and photos they sent throughout our trip clearly showed how much love and care they gave our pups. It was obvious our dogs were not just being checked on, they were genuinely being cared for and loved. Shaylee even went above and beyond by leaving thoughtful toys and a sweet card for us, which was such a kind and unexpected touch. You can truly tell that both her and her husband care deeply about the animals they look after. We are so grateful to have found them and will absolutely be using their services again in the future!

Cathy was wonderful! I was hesitant to leave my rescue dog with separation anxiety for a few days. Cathy did a great job sending me updates, pictures and videos which put my mind at ease. I would highly recommend Cathy and I certainly plan to have her watch my pup in the future.
Zara took care of our dogs for about a week over the Christmas holiday break (house sitting in our house) when we were traveling. She was very prompt on communication. When we approached her on Rover, she was very prompt on responding, and we were able to set up a meet and greet fairly quickly. She took great care of our dogs, sending us pictures, responding to our questions and getting in touch with us proactively if need be. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for any kind of help with your pets!
I was so nervous about leaving my fur babies with someone other than family for the first time. Daniela came over twice before we left so the dogs could get to know her. Then she stayed with my babies each night and let them snuggle with her on the bed. She stayed with them threw the snow, cleaned up the poo outside (so Missy couldn't eat poopsicles), gave them their medicine, kept the house tidy and went above an beyond. She sent me little videos and pictures so I could see my babies were doing just fine. I was beginning to think they weren't missing me one bit with all the attention they were getting from Daniela. I will definitely be rebooting her if we have to travel again.

Chris, Laura, and Gracie were fantastic. They looked after my Daisy for 5 days. I was sent daily pics of Daisy's day. Daisy was very well taken care of and she made two new doggy friends during her stay! Chris and Laura have two dogs and they took my Daisy into their home like she was one of their own. I am confident that Daisy had a great time while she was there, that she was well cared for, that she was safe and that she felt right at home. I will definitely use Chris and Laura again when I plan another trip!

FAQs for House Sitting - Fishers
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Fishers on Rover is $42.8 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,555 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Fishers. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fishers walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fishers maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fishers choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fishers. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
