I stay home with my kiddos and we homeschool, so even if I need to be gone, at least one of my teens are usually home. It's rare that we are away, so your dog would get lots of attention! We have some regular clients we do drop in visits for daily on weekdays. I do not have a fenced yard, but I do have access to using neighbors fenced yards if needed. Your dog would get multiple walks when they need to go potty, but I also try to do longer walks depending on their health, weather, etc.

Thanks to mirror neurons and observational learning, dogs pick up calm or reactive habits from the dogs around them. And yes, they can learn to be calm from you too. My dood, Gunner, never hides, shakes, or freaks out over thunder, fireworks, or loud cars — because I don’t. Three years of working remote has let me model a chill, structured lifestyle, and now Gunner is cool as a cucumber… pretty rare for a high energy 3 year old GoldenDoodle. But imprinting calm behavior has to start early. That’s why I only work with Dood-mixes under 18 months and senior dogs — they deserve peaceful surroundings and make amazing mentors. Sending your dog to a big box, kennel, or retail daycare? Ever peek at the cameras and see them getting chased, harassed, or having other dogs all up in their business? I also have crates of varying size if your dog prefers privacy. I currently walk my own dog six times a day so if your dog needs exercise, they can join all the walks! On overnight stays your dog has options of a dedicated room for sleeping alone or wherever they are most comfortable.
