But we recently adopted an tiny, older dog who was abandoned and left alone to fend for herself for a week and I just couldn't do it to her. She came by a few days before we left to meet the dogs and get familiar with her responsibilities, then stopped in multiple times a day for 6 days to take care of Jake and Miss Bonnie at home while we visited our grandchildren two states away. Ava gave us daily updates (including photos!), took the dogs out to play, gave them lots of love and attention and we came home to two happy, healthy dogs! I'd recommend Ava in a heartbeat. Our babies will never stay in a kennel as long as Ava is willing to watch them! I'd even change a vacation schedule to make sure it fit with hers! She's awesome! Thank you, Ava!”

During the week I will leave the house early (around 6AM) and can be back with your pet by 3:45. I will follow any special instructions for your pet, & I have lots of experience with walking dogs on a leash. I will be attentive to your pet and meet any needs they may have.

About: As someone who’s been around dogs & cats (& more!) since I was born, I’ve loved pets for as long as I’ve been around! Whether it’s taking care of my own pets, or someone else’s furry friends, I have a lot of experience when it comes to both dogs and cats. I’m a responsible, experienced, & caring individual, & I’ve never met a dog or cat I didn’t like. Even better still, almost every dog and cat that’s met me has liked me! Whether it’s a rambunctious dog with lots of energy, or a relaxed cat who likes to nap, I can accommodate any type of pet. I’ve taken care of my energetic dogs when they were younger, & continued the care into their senior years. I’ve also taken care of multiple other dogs of all different ages (from puppies to wise, old dogs). When it comes to cats, the same applies. Kittens, senior kitties, and everything in between have been a big part of my life. If you have any questions, or would like to talk more about having me take care of your furry companion, don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m currently extra available for the summer as work is in a slow season, so I have flexibility when it comes to being available for your pet! When coming into your home, I do my best to make sure your dog or cat is comfortable and at ease. Drop-in visits are all about making sure your pet is feeling comforted & attended to, even if that means just giving them their space! Walks include the same things as they mean more to your pet than just exercise & a potty break!
