A calm home away from home.
Hi! I’m Janet. I provide a quiet, home-based boarding experience for dogs who do best in a relaxed environment rather than a busy kennel setting. I work from home full-time, so your dog receives plenty of supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day. Dogs become part of the household and are welcome to relax on the furniture, follow me from room to room, or sleep wherever they are most comfortable, including the bed if that’s their normal routine at home. My home features a fully fenced yard with dog-door access, allowing dogs to move freely between indoors and outdoors throughout the day. My Home Is Best Suited For Dogs Who: • Are friendly, well-socialized, and non-aggressive • Have a calm to moderate energy level • Enjoy a quieter home environment • Are comfortable with free access to a fenced yard 🚫 Dogs I Do Not Accept For safety and compatibility reasons, I do not accept: • Dogs with a history of aggression toward people or animals • Dogs that jump fences, climb, dig out, or otherwise attempt to escape • High-drive or high-energy dogs that require constant activity • Pit Bulls, Pit Bull-type breeds, American Bullies, Staffordshire Terriers, Cane Corsos, Presa Canarios, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Akitas, Wolf Hybrids, or mixes of these breeds I’m comfortable administering medications when needed. Just provide instructions and I’ll be happy to help. If you’re looking for a peaceful, home-based boarding experience where your dog can relax and receive individualized attention, I’d love to meet you and your pup.

Janet was absolutely wonderful! My dog Pumpkin stayed with her for the entire day for daycare, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She kept me updated and let me know how he was doing, which gave me so much peace of mind. Janet is so kind and caring, and it’s obvious she truly loves the dogs she watches. Her sweet basset hound, Mildred, is absolutely adorable too! Pumpkin came home happy, and I felt completely comfortable knowing he was in such great hands all day. I would absolutely book with Janet again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring pet sitter. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my little guy! 💕🐶

Janet saved the day! My husband and I were staying at a Home2 Suites locally for a couple nights with Stella and Jäger as we are moving from Ohio. The dogs struggled in the hotel and we were told that they could not stay alone as they cried and whined while we were away. I found Janet on Rover late in the evening on Monday and we were able to get daycare booked for the next day while we completed our final walk through and closing on our new house. A huge weight was lifted as we know this move is a big transition for not just Stella and Jäger but also for my husband and I. Janet played with Jäger and Stella and even sent me a picture to help ease my mind. So thankful for her!!

Would definitely use her again. Our dog was well taken care of the entire time we were gone. We got pictures and updates while we were gone. The most important thing was we returned to a happy pup. I would definitely recommend using Janet.

I maintain a consistent daily routine and try to keep each dog’s schedule as close as possible to what they’re accustomed to at home, including feeding times, medications, sleeping arrangements, and any special care instructions.

Most days are intentionally low-key. Dogs can move freely between the house and fenced yard, receive plenty of attention throughout the day, and relax wherever they feel most comfortable.
