About: I’m a married 51 year old mom with two daughters aged 17 and 14. I have over 25 years of experience working in a school setting, and am now working part time. I have a 10 year old service dog who lives with us, and works with students at my school. I treat dogs as well as my own children, as I understand how much they are a part of your family. I’m responsible and will be as connected to you as you want- sending updates and pictures to ensure you feel confident that your pet is safe and happy. My husband works from home, and I’m currently working part time. We are up by 6 every morning. I’m primarily trying this on the weekends to start, however depending on your situation, the weekdays could work as well. I have a 10year old golden/lab cross. He is a neutered male and was trained by an organization as a service dog. He comes to work with me to work with students. We often watch other service dogs through this same organization, so I do have experience caring for other pets. We have a kennel in our home that we can use, if needed. While our dog loves other dogs, it would be important that your pet is not aggressive. I have zero concerns that our dog would ever be aggressive. We do not feed our dog anything other than two meals per day, as he is on a strict diet. Water is always out. We would follow all food directions you provide for your pet. Our pet is treated like a human, so no furniture is off limits and pet hair is just part of our lives.

About: I have taken care of dogs for atleast 10 years if not more. Animals love me and always beyond excited when they see me. I do have 2 dogs of my own and have grown up with dogs and cats. Mostly labs but had a range of mutts as well . I’m comfortable with large and small dogs During the week can get busy during work hours. But I will always to tend to your furry friend. As for the weekends, I am way more available. When working in another persons home I keep to my own things and buy my own groceries if staying for a few days. About: I'm a lover of all animals, but DOGS are my absolute favorite! I've taken care of dogs of various sizes and backgrounds since I was little. Neighbors, friends, and family have always relied on me to care for their pets during times they couldn't. My patience and understanding of dogs is what sets me apart from others. I grew up with dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to large breeds, so I understand that every pet has their own personality, comfort level, and routine. My background as a teacher has helped me develop strong patience, attention to detail, and a calm approach — qualities I bring to every pet I care for. I’m great at following instructions, giving thoughtful updates, and helping pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I work part-time overnight, which keeps my mornings and afternoons open for pet care. This gives me plenty of daytime availability for walks, drop-ins, feedings, playtime, and making sure pets get the attention and care they need. Pet care fits well into my routine because I can provide consistent, reliable care during the hours many pets are most active. I currently care for pets in their home so they can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I focus on keeping their schedule and routine as consistent as possible, including feeding times, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications, and any special care instructions. Today, my wife and I have two boys and a two-year-old mini Australian Labradoodle, so dogs are already a regular part of our family life. “We dropped our dogs on our way out of town Thursday morning and returned for them Sunday evening. I appreciated Destinee's flexibility with our pick-up time (I had initially booked for the following morning but it made more sense for us to pick them up on our way through as we were heading south to Bloomington - our timing was a bit later than she would have preferred but she graciously worked with us). We received photos of the dogs both inside the house and outside in the backyard on the first three days of care, and a written description of how they were doing on the first day. The home and yard seemed nice and I really appreciated not needing to bring bowls/ beds/ extra items as she provides everything. The only tips I would have for a better "pet parent" experience would be to be more consistent with writing about how each day went, and possibly showing off some of the house/yard upon drop off. Since we don't live close by, a meet and greet or advance tour wouldn't have made sense for us anyway. I feel like our dogs were in good hands with Destinee and her husband.
