The Best Things In Life Are Furry!
I'm back doing what I love and would love the opportunity to care for your fur baby! Please understand that my current response time and rate do not accurately reflect my level of service. Both metrics were affected by several unplanned and lengthy hospital stays, during which my account was not set to "away," preventing me from responding to new booking requests. My health has improved over the past year, and I'm ready to start booking clients again! I sincerely hope you will consider giving me a chance, regardless of the inaccurate information presented in my profile. Thank you! 😊 One of my core memories is my mom getting my sisters and me a Shih Tzu when I was four years old. We named him Dr. Pepper and it didn't take long for him and me to become attached at the hip. Unfortunately, he was taken from us one day close to Christmas time. Not long after that happened my mom met a guy who owned a dog named Pepsi. In my mind, they were meant to be together because of his dog's name. They did get married and Pepsi quickly became known as my dog. Throughout my childhood, we always had a dog and a cat. Everyone knew that I was always the favorite of every animal we owned. Once old enough and moved out I got my own pets. I have owned two cats and two dogs (a mastiff and mixed breed adopted through the ASPCA) in the past 22 years of living on my own. Recently, I had to put down our cat Fila. Fila was from a litter that my sister's cat had so we knew her from the day she was born until she passed at age 10. It's been lonely without her as she never left my side. I am the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family. I have watched pets of all ages as well as those with medical issues such as diabetes so I am knowledgeable and comfortable with administering medication and giving shots. You can count on me to care for your fur babies as if they were my own. My home will always feel like a home to them when here. I hope you will allow me the opportunity to get to know your pet(s) and ensure they are safe while you are away.

Krista was amazing with Marnie. From the moment I dropped her off, I knew she was in good hands. I got regular updates throughout my trip, but not just any updates. They were written from Marnie’s perspective, full of sass, treat reports, and daily adventures. It honestly felt like I was getting postcards from my dog on her own little vacation. Krista didn’t just make me feel at ease. She made Marnie feel completely at home. Marnie has a heart condition and takes medication twice a day, so I’m always very careful about who watches her. Krista handled everything perfectly. I came back to a happy, healthy pup who clearly felt loved. I think Marnie already wants to go back. Thank you so much, Krista!
All you want when you go out of town is for your fur babies to be loved on and taken care of. Krista went absolutely above and beyond and loved on my pups like they were her own. She was very communicative and always left me notes, messages, and fantastic pictures on how my pups were doing. If possible I’d give her more than 5 stars!
Best dog sitter ever! My little fur baby has stayed with Krista several times and each time I go to drop her off she gets so excited and runs to her door and cries to get in, she is so spoiled by Krista. Krista provides lots of cuddles and playtime with her! Thank you for always making her stay so comfortable and easy! I never worried about Jaleigh when she is in your care!!!!

Schedule
You can count on your pets to get plenty of exercise, fresh air, playtime, and cuddles. I am currently at home full-time so your pets will have nonstop supervision and care while here. I am open to following any set schedules you may already have in place. If no schedule is provided we will follow a schedule of our own that normally consists of two walks (mid-morning and early evening), outside play (weather permitting), indoor play, and lots of snuggles and naps. If you are working on training I am open to incorporating training throughout the day. While I do not have a fenced-in yard, with your permission I am open to taking your fur baby to a local dog park or to my parent's or sister's residence as both have fenced-in yards so they can get more exercise and play time outside. I love taking photos and sending updates while pets are in my care. Unless you don't want to be bothered you can count on me to send updates on how your pet is doing while in my care.

Loving, caring for, and training pets has always been a passion of mine. I utilize positive reinforcement to help train and reinforce positive behaviors. I will never harm or reprimand a pet. If your pet is crate trained I do ask that you bring that with you along with their leash and harness. Per your request, your pet with be properly restrained or contained while in my vehicle during all car rides to ensure their safety. When your pets are in my care you can expect nothing but the best. I love others' pets as if they are my own and there hasn't been a pet I've met that didn't take to me right away. My home will become their home during their stay. I would love the opportunity to make your pets feel like they are on vacation while you're away. It's stressful leaving your fur babies so it is my promise to you that I will do everything I can to make them feel happy and loved while in my care.
A typical day
You can count on me to provide your pet with both physical and mental activities to keep them stimulated throughout the day. Walks, fetch, laser pointers, toys, and more will be included every day they are in my care. I'm open to taking them to dog parks, regular parks for walks in the woods on designated trails, or to other fenced-in areas to get more exercise for those dogs with extra energy.

If you plan on utilizing the airport ask me about additional services I am willing to help you with such as overnight parking and/or transportation to and from the airport. ?
