About: Animals have always held a huge place in my heart! Since going to school in veterinary medicine, I’m experienced in caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. I love spending time with fur babies and giving owners peace of mind knowing they’re cared for. Extra Skills:: • Administering Oral Medications • Working with Senior Animals • Nail Trims (Dogs and Cats) • Anal Gland Expression (Dogs only) I’m currently working part time so I have flexibility! About: I have been obsessed with dogs since I was little. Always wanting to have one, pet one, and just interact with one. I currently have a GSD, who is a handful, that I love dearly. I’m currently working 12 hour shifts with a rotating schedule. My available days change every week, but I know my schedule very far out in advance. I am very mindful of doors being closed all the way before and after taking your furry baby for a walk. Will provide them with water and treats before and after. I can also put them back into their crate before leaving if required.

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life and am well-versed in taking care of them. I love taking my dog on walks and playing fetch! I am very patient and kind, especially with animals. I am a student so especially during the summer my schedule is pretty wide open. My nights are usually free and most times during the day as well. My dog gets fed morning and night with treats throughout the day to supplement. In our home, we love lick mats, popsicles, and anything involving enrichment!

About: I’m currently in my "borrow all the dogs" era. With three busy kids and nonstop activities, owning a dog isn't in the cards right now, but loving on yours absolutely is! I've been around dogs my entire life and have always been a dog lover. Growing up, my family had three dogs, a cat and a pig, which gave me years of experience caring for and interacting with pets of different personalities and needs. As an adult, I rescued two dogs from a local animal shelter. They were my first babies. My oldest dog passed away 3 years ago. As a special education teacher with nearly 20 years of experience, I am patient, dependable, and attentive. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and cared for while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they are in good hands. I’m a teacher on summer break trying to earn some extra money while I have the availability. During the summer and throughout the week, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care, walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I have no pets of my own currently, so I am able to give lots of love to your pet. I have a fenced in backyard and enjoy being outside. I maintain routines, such as following their feeding schedule, walks/playtime and potty breaks. Providing in-home care in a client’s home I respect the pet’s routine and the owner’s home. I’m happy to provide pictures, too. My goal is to help your pet feel secure, happy and well-cared for while in my care.

About: I've been taking care of dogs almost all my life. I've had so many different breeds in my lifetime. I love all kinds of animals but definitely have to say dogs are my favorite! I work on my time. I book cleanings and caregiving help to older adults. So if I have a job for sitting lined up I just don't accept any cleaning jobs. I do sitting, walking, and boarding. I can accommodate up to two large dogs and I have a safe area for walks and playtime. I also can come to pets home if needed to do potty breaks ect.

About: I’ve taken care of and studied the psychology dogs since I was a child, and by “taken care of” I mean training, pet sitting, walking, or even just spending time with them. Whatever your dog needs I’m more than happy to provide! I work a remote job so I’ll have plenty of time to look after your pet and give them 100% of my attention and care! I have a 6 year old pit bull whose name is Boosie. He is very sweet and mild mannered, also a great role model/friend for other dogs. We always start our days with a bit of playtime, training and a walk. There is so much open land and trails where I live so we spend a lot of time outside.

Valery is so sweet! Our puppy, Ripley, took to her immediately, which was a relief because she can be shy. Valery is responsive and even gives our cats a little attention when she comes in. We are going to keep her coming every week for our girl.

About: My sister and I have always tag teamed dog sitting throughout our lives. From playing with them, feeding them to receiving the best cuddles in the world it's always been my favorite job :) -will avoid sitting on dogs, despite job description, keep in mind. While the song might say the dog days are over, I hope to make it to where they never end! 🐕❤‍🔥 I'm currently working part-time with no pets of my own 😭 I'm hoping to be around dogs as much as I can! I will always stop by (or just be there throughout the day). I am super flexible as to what my schedule should look like. If it is preferred by the owners that my schedule involves a little bit more time with their dog, I will happily oblige :) I am extremely flexible and will fully take to the term "make yourself at home". I believe that if I am well acquainted with the household that will allow me to serve my clients and their dogs even better!

Elle (Mary) is great with Kanga, who is often intimidating to strangers, and Kanga seems to like her very much. After only two walks, Kanga is looking forward to Elle’s visits and doesn’t seem to pull on the leash when walked by her. I feared the worst based on how newcomers tend to perceive Kanga, but I have been very pleased so far and look forward to many more!

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
