About: I officially started dog sitting four years ago, taking care of dogs that have personalities that range from requiring very active playtime to cuddle bugs that would rather lounge and receive attention. I currently have a flexible schedule, which means I can adapt my schedule to your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs regular walks, playtime, companionship, or simply someone to check in on them throughout the day, I’m happy to work around their routine and make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. At client’s homes, safety is a top priority, when first meeting I request any emergency information for both the pet and the home. The more prepared I am the more at ease the client can be.

About: I have been with dogs, basically my whole entire life, big breeds and small breeds and my personal adult life experience I have fostered reactive dogs (working breeds) My sweetheart relinquish is a Dutch Shepherd Belgian malinois mix. She is a rescue I adopted but she's also dog reactive. I am heavily experienced with the proper methods of walking and taking care of a dog reactive dog and making sure the dog is safe and the owner feels comfortable as well. I love all dogs to me They are sweet baby angels who can do no wrong. Personally, I'd rather stay in and hang out with my dog than go out to dinner with friends. I hope that you see my experience is one that is driven by love and dedication. In all honesty, my life and schedule revolves around my dog. I make sure that if I am gone for more than 2 hours that there is someone who will come to my house and let my dog out to play outside for 30 minutes or to take her on a long walk or both- that's just in my personal life. I make sure that my dog has the proper diet and I make sure that her training is consistent and she has a task and that she never feels bored and that's also how I am with every dog i meet. I interact with respect and I make sure that the pet is accommodated for its needs if I am responsible for it. Let me show you in my personal life so you can see truly how much I care and value my four-legged companion- I saved up to purchase a home specifically for my dog to have a yard because she did not deserve the apartment life. The home well. It's run by my dog Relinquish- play time is Non-Stop even while I'm doing chores around the house. I'm throwing the ball as well and stopping to play tug of war. But she's also helping me with laundry too. She will pull my laundry basket to my room. I make sure that any dog or animal I am around receives my full attention and my full trust. I move at their pace. I want them to know that I am here for them that my attention will not waver. I want their trust to never be doubted or for them to feel unsafe. I make sure the environment I am surrounded in is safe even with walking. I make sure I communicate when I see a potential issue way before it approaches and will correct immediately our current activity to move to a safe place to continue ( I am using a hypothetical as well of a dog reactive dog on a walk). No matter what, I will always protect the dog I am responsible for and its in my care. I never ever and I truly fear ever having to make a call that your best friend has been injured. I'm terrified of that. It is my responsibility to prevent that and I will because I want you their best friend to feel safe to go about your day knowing that your dog is valued and protected.

About: Former doggy daycare employee, multi-year animal shelter volunteer, and pet sitter extraordinaire for friends and family. I am currently doing Rover full-time, so have a really flexible schedule. I love all animals big and small, but especially enjoy caring for dogs and cats. Not discriminatory toward any breed of dog. I am huge on sending photos and updates while caring for your pets! I have extremely flexible availability currently and do my best to review and update my calendar every day to ensure it is up to date. I am happy to stay overnight in your home if preferred, and/or do late night and early morning check-ins! I am reliable and understand I am fortunate to have the opportunity to care for your animals. I will be respectful of your privacy and space, and will treat your pets and home as if I am caring for my own.

Very happy with Aña’s care of my two dogs! They can be a handful, but both took to her immediately. She gave them several walks throughout the week and always communicated when she was heading over, and often sent a text letting me know how it went in addition to the thorough Rover cards. Upon coming home I was further reassured of the care and exercise provided by Aña’s services as the dogs did not boredom destroy anything, there were no accidents in the house, and both dogs seemed happy! Definitely planning on rebooking!

About: I have always cared for animals and have volunteered at animal shelters. I know how to shower them, feed, play, and care for and I have for a couple years now. I work part time but my hours vary and am remote. So pet care fits all through my schedule based on what the needs are! I have a fenced yard where big and small dogs are safe to roam around. I do have a shy fur baby who would take some getting used to another animal around, but is friendly. My dog enjoys walking with others dogs, but is not a hyper dog as he is older now.

About: I have ample experience watching my friend's energetic dog. At first he was shy around me, but I was able to gain his trust and now we're buddies! :) I am doing only gig work at the moment while I am learning languages and upskilling. My schedule is very flexible and that allows me to adapt to your pet's specific needs. I pay close attention to promptings from the pet of needing additional attention and care. I also pay attention for feedback on the pet's feelings about their food.

About: I have professional experience working in veterinary medicine and providing compassionate, attentive care to animals with a wide range of personalities and needs. Through my experience, I have developed skills in recognizing changes in behavior, safely handling pets, administering medications when directed, monitoring overall health and comfort, and helping reduce stress during care. I’m comfortable caring for energetic pets, senior pets, and animals that may need extra patience or attention. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important trust, communication, and consistency are. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners peace of mind knowing their pets are in experienced and caring hands. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, with Thursdays and weekends off, but I still make time to provide dependable pet care around my schedule. I’m available for morning drop-ins, evening visits, overnight care when planned in advance, and have greater flexibility on Thursdays and weekends for longer visits, walks, and quality time. I understand how important routines are for pets and will work with owners to make sure their pets receive consistent, attentive care that fits their needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. With my background in veterinary medicine and hands-on animal care experience, I pay close attention to behavior, routines, and any signs that a pet may be stressed or uncomfortable. I believe trust is built through communication, consistency, and treating every animal with patience and respect. I work to create a calm, safe, and positive environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away, and I provide updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring and experienced hands.

While I have been laid up post-surgery, Laura has been walking my two boys. She is amazing, both my dogs are challenging in their own way, but she has had no trouble getting them out to walk and brings them back happy and tired. I have booked her for a further week, and depending on how my healing proceeds, further dates as well. Thank you, Laura! Sammy is clearly calming down and gaining confidence; he did not even fuss at the physical therapist today!

I am so happy that I was introduced to Karissa through my regular Rover dog walker… she is amazing!!! It was instantly clear in our meet and greet that she loves fur babies of all kinds and would take great care of mine while I’m away. I am so appreciative of her extra effort and willingness to drive a very long distance (twice a day!) so my dog can enjoy his long walks/fetch sessions- most people would never do that. She is punctual, reliable, thorough, quick to answer messages, and very caring- my highest recommendation 💖.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
