About: I have a master's and bachelor's in animal science and plenty of experience with an array of different animal needs, demeanors, and personalities. Taking care of animals is truly what I love to do. Pet care is built into my routine through daily feeding, walks, playtime, and grooming, plus weekly cleaning and health checks. It provides structure to my day and keeps me active, mindful, and consistent. I care for pets by providing regular feeding, exercise, supervision, and enrichment. Although I don’t have a fenced yard, I use a designated area in my apartment where dogs can safely roam, play, and relax, along with scheduled walks and attentive care.

About: Will only take new clients with meet and greet. My clients are family to me. I have fostered dogs & cats for several years. Two of my animals were registered therapy dogs who worked with children. Most of my pets have been rescues. Animals gravitate to me. I would love to sit for your fur-baby(s). I have a home office and large fenced yard. I walk my dogs daily as fitness is great for a dog's health. We have a park nearby with a 3-mile trail next to a creek and has lots of shade. My home is pet friendly with very little carpet. Your pet will be treated with care, the same as my fur-babies, giving lots of love until you return. I can administer medications and special diets if needed.

AMAZING! Spectacular! There isn’t a word to express how amazing Jason and Tania are! Kona was treated like a king :) Tania sent the best pictures and always let me know how Kona was feeling. She communicated every concern and showed how much she loves what she does. After a few walks she figured out his likes and dislikes and just let my pup do his thing whether that was rolling in the grass and just chilling or watching all the squirrels. Kona also LOVED Tania, you could tell by the pictures. I was always at ease knowing that Kona was being cared for so wonderfully. Not only are the best people ever, they are also extremely flexible and are amazing communicators. When ever I had a last minute walk needed or a change in schedule they were eager to help make that change. They will be Kona's number one choice for walks for life. ❤️

About: I have been working with and loving animals since I was very little. My family has been rescuing and fostering both dogs and bunnies for as long as I can remember. My sister and I actually just trapped and rescued a stray cat, got her spayed and her vaccines, and adopted her out to a wonderful home! I used to run a cat and dog walking/sitting business with my twin sister, and have worked with all different ages and breeds. Additionally, I have extensive experience with rabbits- rescuing, fostering, grooming, administering medication, basic wellness checks, etc. Loving animals is a center characteristic for me, and although this is technically a job, I can't wait to meet and snuggle more babies! If there happens to be any scheduling conflict as well, I have a twin sister with almost identical pet care experience that would love to fill in in any way. I am currently a first year graduate student, but asides from my classes, I have very little other obligations and could spend the rest of the time with your pups or kitties! I care for pets as if they were my own, taking into consideration their schedule, quirks, safety, and needs. I have two very needy and spoiled yorkies at my childhood home, so I am used to and more than happy to learn and follow specific instructions to ensure your babies are the happiest they can be! I also would love to send updates and pictures of your pets how ever often you would like.

WOW. Reliable, professional, friendly, and skilled, Taylor is extraordinary! Taylor has been taking our dog Gracie on daily walks while we are at work and even incorporating leash training into her sessions. In just one week, Taylor has bonded with Gracie and worked with us to significantly to improve her leash manners. We are astonished! Taylor has also been exceptional in her communication, sending us daily updates with photos, which are so cute and appreciated. Most importantly, Taylor is extremely thoughtful and caring, which comes through in her interactions with us and Gracie. We would recommend Taylor without hesitation to anyone!

About: I absolutely live for pets to get the care they deserve. After all, our pets are part of our family. I have always had family pets and feel like they are an extension of our family. I work from home and I have a very flexible schedule. If you call...I'm there to take care of your furry friend. It simply takes one phone call for great service. I provide great service to all my clients when ever they need me to go to their home to care for their furry friends. Allow me the possibility to become an extension of your family. Pet care fits my work schedule because I work part time. I can free my schedule anytime. Having a flexible schedule just means I can spend more time with your furry friend and I don't have to be in a rush to get back to work. I have always pampered my pets. They all have a little personality, we just have to take the time to really understand them. Allowing them to be home and comfortable while you are away is the perfect time for you to see.. though the lens of a camera. Enjoy the new video communication!

About: I’ve been pet sitting on and off since I was about 13 years old. Family, friends & neighbors would often ask me to stop by throughout the day or stay overnight with their dogs and/or cats while they were out of town. I grew up in an animal-loving family that always had dogs and/or cats, so I am very comfortable with their care and LOVE spending time with them. I work 3 nights a week. My schedule may vary from week to week, especially for overnight services, but it overall allows me to be very flexible on my days off. I keep my schedule up to date on Rover to accurately reflect my availability. I am currently unable to have other pets in my apartment due to lease restrictions, so care will have to occur at your home. If you tell me what to do with your pet or leave instructions, I will be sure to follow them and keep your pet happy and healthy :)

About: I raised my goldendoodle from being a puppy to a full-grown, now 3-year-old adult. I potty-trained her, house-broke her, and took care of her from morning to night. I adopted my cat in college and I’ve had her for six years. I have dogsat for multiple neighbors, family friends, and family members in the past and I greatly enjoy it. I was part of a professional pet sitting business in college and had 5 stars. I also worked at a doggy daycare facility in college and loved it! I love all animals and truly understand the concern when having another person taking care of your fur babies. I promise to take the very best care of your fur babies. I work for myself as a licensed esthetician so I have a lot of flexibility and control with my schedule! I love animals so much and enjoy spending time with and taking care of them! I treat my cat as another member of my family that deserves the same care and love as a person! We have multiple enrichment activities for her and we pay close attention to her diet and adjust it accordingly to her needs and preferences.

About: Caring for my own dog has taught me a lot about responsibility, patience, and how to create a safe, comforting environment. I know how to handle daily care like feeding, walks, playtime, and basic training, and I’m comfortable with things like managing energy levels and keeping pets calm when routines change. I plan my schedule around the needs of the pets in my care to make sure they get consistent attention throughout the day. Each day includes designated times for feeding, walks or play sessions, bathroom breaks, and check-ins. I will also schedule time for grooming tasks like brushing or cleaning up, as well as giving any medications if required. When pets stay with me, I will provide a safe, pet-friendly environment where they feel comfortable and welcome. I follow their usual routine, including food, bathroom breaks, and rest that you provide me with. I will also supervise interactions with any other pets to ensure safety and comfort as my top priorities. Making pets feel like part of the family while they’re in my care is one of my main goals!

While I have been laid up post-surgery, Laura has been walking my two boys. She is amazing, both my dogs are challenging in their own way, but she has had no trouble getting them out to walk and brings them back happy and tired. I have booked her for a further week, and depending on how my healing proceeds, further dates as well. Thank you, Laura! Sammy is clearly calming down and gaining confidence; he did not even fuss at the physical therapist today!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
