About: I have professional experience working in veterinary medicine and providing compassionate, attentive care to animals with a wide range of personalities and needs. Through my experience, I have developed skills in recognizing changes in behavior, safely handling pets, administering medications when directed, monitoring overall health and comfort, and helping reduce stress during care. I’m comfortable caring for energetic pets, senior pets, and animals that may need extra patience or attention. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important trust, communication, and consistency are. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners peace of mind knowing their pets are in experienced and caring hands. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, with Thursdays and weekends off, but I still make time to provide dependable pet care around my schedule. I’m available for morning drop-ins, evening visits, overnight care when planned in advance, and have greater flexibility on Thursdays and weekends for longer visits, walks, and quality time. I understand how important routines are for pets and will work with owners to make sure their pets receive consistent, attentive care that fits their needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. With my background in veterinary medicine and hands-on animal care experience, I pay close attention to behavior, routines, and any signs that a pet may be stressed or uncomfortable. I believe trust is built through communication, consistency, and treating every animal with patience and respect. I work to create a calm, safe, and positive environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away, and I provide updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring and experienced hands.
“Grace always does a wonderful job and takes great care of our pet. We feel fortunate to have found someone we can trust. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter.”

“Marek went above & beyond for my requests, he even wiped up the floor when it was raining. He brought & used HIS OWN towel for that. 10/10 would always use his services again!”

About: Having been around a variety of animals for my entire life I appreciate the joy and place they hold in their family’s lives. My own soul dog (Sheltie named Finn) passed away in 2025 and he is dearly missed. Though he is gone, my love of animals has never changed. These days I paint animal portraits for shelter donations, care for the pets of family/friends, and now I serve to help those seeking an aid for their furry family member. Every family deserves to know their animal(s) are being cared for with the utmost respect. That is the level of responsibility I take when I will accompany your pet on a walk or to check on them during the day. There is also plenty of room for play and affection! They are your family and deserve to be treated as such. I am currently working part-time weekdays until 2 pm. After work, I am available to assist in the care of animals by walking or checking on their welfare. The first thing I do when arriving is ensure that all animals within the home are well by observing them. Once that is assured, I take the time to let them adjust to my presence by allowing them to meet me on their terms. Afterwards, I ensure water bowls are changed or topped off, litter boxes are emptied if needed, and prepare any dogs for their walks.
“Lauren was great with my 5 fur-kiddos! One of my dogs is very skiddish around anyone new. Lauren came by for two separate meet and greets and we did a "practice" visit before I left for vacation for a week. She went slow and earned my dogs trust quickly. They became fast friends, which put my mind at ease while being away.”

“Taylor was great with our dog! Our dog is 90 pounds, a puller, and does not do well with other dogs. I always get nervous allowing other people walk her. Taylor did great with her! I loved all the pictures she sent. The pictures and the notes reassured me that our dog was doing well! I will definitely book with Taylor again!”

“Nicole was great to work with, especially since our travel plans changed at the last minute. She kept us updated on our diabetic cat, and even gave him his twice a day insulin shots. We would definitely book Nicole again.”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and have always loved caring for animals. I treat every pet like they’re my own and want to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with me. I’d love the opportunity to give your furry friend the same care and attention I give my own pets! I have also had plenty if experience dog sitting for my family and friends and it’s something I enjoy! I’m currently at the University of Indianapolis pursuing my Doctor of Physical Therapy. My schedule keeps me busy with classes and staying active, so pet sitting is a great way for me to take a break, get some fresh air, and spend time with animals. I love being active and helping others, and caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine. I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I’m attentive to their routines, make sure they have a clean and safe environment, and give them plenty of love and attention. I’ll follow any instructions you provide and make sure your pet’s needs and safety always come first.

“Dorian did an outstanding job taking care of our cat Hobbes! At our meet and greet it was very evident how huge her love for animals is. She is genuinely passionate and caring about the animals she is responsible for. She takes the time to give great written and photo updates each day. She is easy to work with and trustworthy.”

“Marilyn was awesome! This was my first time using Rover, and we were out of town for several days. Marilyn made the whole thing so easy and even picked up an extra visit at the last minute, allowing us to extend our trip another day. She sent photos and kept us in the loop. I'll book with her any time we're away!”

“So glad I found Jessica! She is very attentive and good with even the most detailed requests. I was so grateful for her check ins and her willing to message me to make sure she is doing what is best for your babies🤍”

“Heather was great with our dog Kemah. She is scared of storms and wind and Heather went out of her way to make sure she was comfortable and safe. Great communication and very reliable. Thanks Heather!”

“Lauren did a wonderful job with our crew of large dogs (and a goat!). One is 18, all get supplements, one has very specific meal prep/medication requirements, and Lauren didn’t flinch at any of it. Appreciated feeling confident in their care while we were gone. Thank you, Lauren.”

“Our first time using Rover and it was an experience we’ll never forget. Tania got locked out of the house while we were two hours from home, she took matters in her own hands and took him home to her family with no question. She kept our baby until we got home and brought him home for us. I would 100 recommend this family to anyone looking for a sitter. We can’t thank you enough and will be seeing you again soon.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Southport
Christopher was fantastic! He was super responsive throughout our trip, sent great photos and updates, and we came home to a house in great shape and a happy cat — or at least as happy as a cat can be when his people have had the nerve to leave him for a week. We felt completely comfortable knowing everything was in good hands. We’ll absolutely book with Christopher again, if he’ll have us!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
