Sharon was fantastic! Appears my dogs never even missed us! Ideal arrangement for us to have her watch them while we visited with a friend and her husband when passing through Indianapolis on our way to Wisconsin from our home outside Nashville, TN. Thank you Sharon! I highly recommend others use Sharon if wanting a loving home your pets can stay at when not able to accompany you. I have one dog around 60 lbs and other around 20 lbs. both rotten so loving care is what I want when needing an alternate care arrangement. Sharon met our needs! Now back on the highway.

About: Whether your dog needs a fun walk, overnight boarding, daycare, or drop-in visits, I'll provide the same love, attention, and care as if they were my own. I've been taking care of dogs since a young age. I am an animal lover. Growing up I've owned over 10 dogs. I will treat your fur babies like my own. I love to cuddle, play walk etc. I love animals! I will take care of your fur babies as if they are my own! We will play and go for walks! They will be comfortable and in a safe space until you return! I have had dogs of my own all my life! They just want be loved like we do! So why not love them! I take great joy in walking with them and playing catch! Most dogs are like little humans that can't talk! But they will definitely get their point across. We will be on a schedule of eating and go outside to play and potty. My drop off and pick up times are from 6am-7:25am, 12pm-1pm and any time after 5 Monday-Friday. (can be flexible just let me know the time ahead of time) Saturday and Sunday pick up and drop off anytime. we will play and have fun. As far as eating if they have a certain eating schedule let me know and I can follow by that. Majority of my front yard is fenced. I will go outside to let your dog to use the potty. I also have a big field not far from my home for then to run and be walked around.

Mary is absolutely amazing! ❤️ Bella gets so excited every time she goes to stay with her, and that tells me everything I need to know. It's such a relief knowing she's in a home where she's genuinely loved, spoiled, and treated like family. Mary takes incredible care of Bella and always keeps me updated with photos and messages, which gives me complete peace of mind. I never have to worry because I know Bella is safe, happy, and getting plenty of attention and affection. I couldn't ask for a better Rover sitter. Mary truly goes above and beyond, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for their pet as if it were their own. Thank you, Mary, for loving Bella so much—we're so grateful for you!

About: I've had a lifelong fascination with animals and zoology that led me to learning as much as I could about animals. I've been particularly fond of canines, leading me to become a certified dog behaviorist in 2020. I've had 2 dogs of my own, both mid sized mixed breeds, and helped take care of family and friends pets, dogs as small as chihuahuas and large as rotties. I'm self employed and work from home. I'm very flexible and can adjust to specific feeding or medicine times, and can keep near constant supervision if need be. I feel strongly about pets being treated with kindness and patience. I enjoy cuddling and playing games with them. I'll be happy to adjust to the pets individual needs and owner requests.

About: I have had pets and farm animals my entire life. I know their needs and prioritize making sure they are met. I am thoughtful, attentive and caring to all! As a full-time remote professional, pet care integrates seamlessly into my daily routine without disrupting my work. My schedule allows me to work comfortably from my home office desk while providing your dog with consistent supervision, regular companionship, and frequent outdoor breaks in my securely fenced backyard. Because I do not offer neighborhood walks, my focus remains entirely on structured indoor play, mental enrichment, and easy access to yard exercise. I strictly care for a limited number of low-maintenance guest dogs at a time. This deliberate limit guarantees that your pet fits perfectly into my balanced workday, receiving high-quality, individual attention and a premium, stress-free stay. Because I work from home full-time, your pet will enjoy a highly structured, reliable routine with constant human company. My home office setup allows me to provide continuous supervision and easy, frequent access to the outdoors throughout the day. For safety, guest pets have a dedicated, pet-proofed space separate from our family areas, and I always feed animals individually to ensure a completely stress-free mealtime. I strictly follow your specific instructions for feeding, medication, and crating to keep your pet’s routine identical to what they enjoy at home.

About: Walk. Wag. Repeat. 🐾 Hi, I’m Sebastian! Animals have always been the center of my world, and my business, Silly Moose & Co, is named in honor of my late, beloved dog, Layla. Her nickname was "Silly Moose," and she taught me everything about patience, unconditional love, and the joy of a wagging tail. I founded this business to carry on her legacy by treating every pet I meet with that same "Moose-sized" love. 📬 The "Pet's Best Friend" Professional By day, I’m a Letter Carrier, which truly makes me a pet's best friend! I’m out in the community every day, rain or shine, and I’ve mastered the art of making friends with every pup on the block. My career means I am exceptionally reliable, punctual, and used to being active in all types of weather. 🐾 Rescue-Tested Experience When I’m not on my route, I’m dedicated to rescue work. I am a current volunteer at Sketchy Mutts and Underdogs, and I previously spent time with the ASPCA as a shelter walker and dog photographer. These roles have given me invaluable experience with all personality types—from the shyest "underdogs" needing a patient hand to high-energy pups ready for an adventure. 🐈‍⬛ Tailored Care for Cats While the dogs are out walking, the feline family members aren't forgotten! I offer tailored services specifically for cats. As a "servant" to two cats who rule my own home, I know that every cat is unique—whether they want high-energy laser chasing, gentle brushing, or just some quiet company. I’m happy to handle feedings, litter box maintenance, and plenty of "slow blinks." 🏠 My "Moose" Crew at Home My home is shared with Buttercup, my sweet 5-year-old blue nose Staffordshire Terrier, and my two feline house-rulers. Because I live with a Staffy, I am especially comfortable and experienced with "bully breeds" and larger, powerful dogs. 🤝 The Silly Moose Promise Whether it’s boarding, walking, or house sitting, I know your pets are your family. My background in hospitality and community work means I bring a high level of reliability, attention to detail, and clear communication to every booking. Ready to start the cycle? Let’s Walk. Wag. Repeat. I am a Letter Carrier for the United States Post Office, I love animals and will always make time to meet new friends. I am in a transition phase in my career post injury and am trying to be a full time pet friend. At Silly Moose & Co, my care philosophy is built on the cycle of Walk. Wag. Repeat. I believe that a happy pet is one that feels safe, stimulated, and understood. Here is how I ensure your furry family member gets the best experience: 1. Building Trust Through Patience Every pet has a unique "vibe." Drawing from my experience with Sketchy Mutts and Underdogs, I never force a connection. I use "slow blinks" with cats and respectful body language with dogs to let them come to me. Whether they are shy rescues or high-energy "Silly Mooses," I meet them where they are. 2. Structured Walks & Sensory Play As a Letter Carrier, I know the streets like the back of my hand. I don’t just "walk" dogs; I provide structured outings. This includes sniffing breaks for mental stimulation (sensory play) and consistent pacing to ensure they get the physical exercise they need. 3. Meticulous Routine & Safety Pets thrive on consistency. I stick strictly to your feeding, medication, and bathroom schedules. My background in hospitality means I have a sharp eye for detail—I check water bowls, ensure gates are latched, and keep litter boxes "deep-clean" fresh for my feline clients. 4. Communication is Key I know how much you miss them! You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you can see the "Wag" in action. I treat your home with the same respect I give my own, ensuring everything is secure and tidy. 5. Specialized Skills From handling "bully breeds" like my Staffy, Buttercup, to administering medications or even bathing a reluctant cat, I have the hands-on experience to handle the unexpected with a calm, steady hand.

About: Ever since I’ve was little I’ve always was involved with animals in some kind of way and once I turned 14 I start training dogs and just being more involved with every animal. My plan is to be a veterinarian one day but until then I plan on taking care of and interacting with so many animals until then ( i do not currently own any pets). Well I work for my self so I’m home majority of the day anyways so taking a walk, or going to a sitting will never be a problem since my schedule is 100% free I have beds, toys and different types of food set up for any boarding that I might have and I also have a huge fenced in back yard for play time and even on rainy days I have a pet play area set up in my garage(it’s attached to my home and heated) to play in on rainy days I have a fenced in yard so that they can play outside as much as they want, I’m even setting/building my back yard more just to accommodate dogs with certain special needs that can’t do certain things. I also listen to pet parent needs and will help with Leash training/basic commands even going to potty throughout their stay

About: I provide structured, attentive pet care backed by professional dog training experience. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments — from young puppies learning routines to high-energy and large breeds that require confident handling. As the owner of SecureK9s, I’ve helped raise and care for over 100+ German Shepherds across the Midwest and have guided 50+ dogs through structured board and train programs. Because of this background, safety, supervision, and clear communication are always my top priorities. Dogs staying with me receive more than basic sitting — they get consistency, routine, exercise, and calm leadership in a home environment. I focus on making pets feel secure, comfortable, and cared for while keeping owners updated and confident their dog is in experienced hands. I work from home and spend my days actively caring for and working with dogs, which allows me to provide consistent supervision and attention throughout the day. Dogs in my care are never left alone for long periods and are included in a structured daily routine that includes potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, and relaxation time. Because dog care and training are already part of my everyday schedule, I’m able to easily integrate boarding, drop-ins, or daycare into my routine while maintaining a calm and safe environment. Your pet will receive regular interaction, monitoring, and care as part of my daily lifestyle. Dogs stay in a secure home with supervision, structured care, and regular walks or exercise at a nearby park just steps away. I’m Very flexible!

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and love them deeply. I volunteered with a cat rescue for 5 years, and last year started volunteering with a pitbull rescue, including doggy days out, events, and fostering. I wake up around 8am and feed my cat before letting my dogs out in the backyard for a potty break and to run around for a bit. I feed them and let them in to eat, and then play with them periodically while I work, and let them outside every two hours or so. If work allows, I take them for a midday walk as well. In the evening we hang out on the couch while I read or watch a show, and then they are crated for bedtime until we wake up. I have a fenced in backyard and two friendly dogs to play with. Both are happily crated at bedtime or when we leave the house.

We were passing through town, wanted to have lunch with a friend and had no where to leave our dog. That’s where Tolu came through for us in such a huge way. Knowing that he would walk and hang out with our dog made meeting our friend so much easier. He was easy to communicate with, met us in a central location and our dog happy when she was returned. He was exactly on time and very flexible in addition to being friendly and obviously good with our dog. 10/10 would recommend.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Indianapolis on Rover is $35.42 per day (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 659 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Indianapolis. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Indianapolis commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 659 sitters in Indianapolis, 84% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
