Rich and Elyce are the best! My Tallulah girl usually takes a while to get used to new places. Today was her first visit with them and she was completely at home. They sent me pictures throughout the day to show me what a great day she was having. They even provided me with a report card at the end of the day :-) Tallulah and I can’t wait for her next visit!!!

About: I provide a calm, structured home environment and only take one dog at a time to ensure focused, attentive care. I’ve fostered multiple dogs through NYC rescues (Muddy Paws and See Spot Rescued), so I’m experienced with different temperaments and routines. Through fostering, I’ve become very observant and responsive to what each dog needs to feel comfortable. I take a thoughtful, individualized approach and enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality. I work remotely and structure my day around consistent care, including regular walks, feeding times and check-ins. Dogs are incorporated into a steady routine with supervision and minimal disruption. I prioritize a calm, controlled environment and only care for one dog at a time. My space is kept organized and dog-safe, and I’m attentive to behavior, boundaries, and comfort levels.

About: I have owned dogs and cats my entire life! I volunteered for the Indianapolis Humane Society for 2 years where I gained experience walking dogs of all energy levels and sizes. I also have experience dog walking for my friends and family. I love all dogs and cats and I am excited to spend time with yours! I am currently home from college for the summer and I am not working, so I have a lot of time to care for your pets! I am available any day of the week or the weekend. My house has a fenced in yard and I do not currently own any dogs and cats, so your pet is more than welcome to stay at my house for the day. I am aware of near by emergency pet care facilities in case of emergency. I am very conscious of how I hold the leash when walking and I ensure that all doors and windows stay shut.

My beagle, Winnie, has gone to Tyler's for daycare four times so far. They hit it off immediately! Tyler is responsible, caring, and easy-going. I have complete confidence that Winnie is getting the best care. I have several other dates booked and will continue to use Tyler for daycare as long as he's available. Highly recommend!

I was so happy Monica was able to take care of our new puppy today. Since she doesn't currently have a pet in her home, this was the perfect fit for our puppy's first day away from being only with us for the last six weeks. Monica took great care of August, and I appreciate the nice long walk to help with tiring him out. Would definitely book again, and I hope she gets plenty of business as a new Rover sitter!

About: I have owned dogs my whole life. Raised a couple of puppies and taken care of a couple of dogs into their elder years. I recently just lost my eldest dog that I had since she was a puppy and loved for the past 15 years. My younger dog, Toad, loves everyone is a total sweetheart. Toad loves all creatures. I thought this might be a fun way to make extra money and take care of other people‘s pets because I know how hard it is to find a safe space for your dog when you go on vacation. I will take care of your pups like they’re my own! I work from home doing recruiting for IU school of medicine. And I have a fenced in backyard so my dog goes out every 20 minutes sometimes. I’m very detail oriented. I’ll follow any directions you give me including odd meal times, special requests, medication. Just let me know what they need!

About: I grew up with a golden retrievers, named Chessie and Rosie, and a rescue pup that was a mix, named Thor. I watch dogs regularly for friends and family. Dogs have always been a major part of my life. I have watched dogs of all sizes and ages since I was a preteen. I take walks regularly for my own health and would love a friend on my walks. I just moved to Indy from Chicago and work remotely M-F. I take daily lunch walks. I am very flexible and willing to accommodate you in any way possible. I am happy to go the extra mile and make things as easy as possible for you. I have a fenced yard and plenty of room for the pup to hang out in my house. A cage must be provided for boarding if you choose that service.

About: I love animals, especially dogs. I’ve had my own pets for years and helped care for others dogs any time I’ve been asked. I have a couple of weeks between work and starting school, so I will be staying home with my dog Koko and she would love some friends to hang out with as well! She is great with other dogs and has had plenty of experience meeting and getting along with new dogs. I have a decently sized fenced in backyard that will allow them to run around and play as much as they want throughout the day and plenty of room for them to relax inside when they need a break. I am in between work and school, so I will be home full time to keep your dog entertained in whatever way they need. My dog Koko loves to play with other dogs and we would be able to go for walks as needed as well. My girlfriend is also home during her off time of school and can help when needed as well. We both have a lot of experience for caring for different breeds of dogs. Someone will always be home to keep an eye on your pup! We have a fenced in back yard that has decent shaded areas. Our dog has some separation anxiety, so we are used to staying out and playing, so your dog won’t have any unsupervised time if that is a need/concern.

Amanda was great and Millie had a great time with Porky. She came home exhausted after having several days of playing. Amanda was incredibly accommodating after I booked daycare only instead of boarding. She offered to watch Millie overnight without hesitation. She’s super easy to get ahold of and provides regular updates. Of course Porky kept Millie super busy and having fun!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Broad Ripple commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 670 sitters in Broad Ripple, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
