About: I am back after taking a few years off and cannot wait to meet some new furry besties! I have two rescues of my own, raised and trained by me from 8 weeks old, and know how much they enjoy having company throughout the day. I would love to come give your pup the same attention, play time, and walks when you are unable. Dogs become bored and lonely quickly and a friendly face, exercise, and activity certainly help to brighten their day. I promise to treat your furry family with the same love as I do my own while respecting the rules and boundaries of your home. I actively walk/sit for dogs of many differing ages, breeds, and temperaments so I am sure I will be able to connect with your special pup. I prefer to keep a relaxed schedule, and that flexibility for me means I can be available for your pups morning, afternoons, and even weekends. Your rules are my rules. Our dogs feel safest and best in familiar routines, so reinforcing what they are used to from you is my priority. That may be a specific routine, crate, frozen Kong before I go, or even putting on their favorite song (hey, its happened! I dont judge).
“Allison was excellent!! We had no concerns leaving our boys with her and they were EXHAUSTED when we got home! She even worked with them on some of their obedience training, which was great!! We will definitely be hiring her again!”
“Brittney was amazing with our dog and was available for a last minute change of plans. She sent pictures and kept us updated the whole time. Would definitely use her again!”

“Tucker stayed with jedi all weekend, he took him on walks, kept me updated (with pictures) and gave him the attention he deserves. Jedi liked his company and I will happily rebook if he is available for my next trip.”

“Brady went above and beyond taking care of our dogs through a medical situation. He was very communicative and responded promptly to any requests! He also didn't hesitate to include our bonus animals (aquariums/caged) in his care.”

“Courtney was great with the dogs and our anxious boy took to her well. She only stayed one night but made our return home very pleasant because she also did some unexpected cleaning-my favorite thing to come home to after a trip. She was very responsive. Would definitely recommend and will be using her again.”

About: I have been walking and watching for dogs since I was in high school and I am now 33, so it’s been a while. I have three of my own fur babies and I am very particular about who I let watch them. I understand our dogs are apart of our family, which is exactly how I would treat them. I love spending time with dogs, talking to them and making them feel special. I do have a full time job as a mental health therapist but my schedule is flexible which allows me to give the fur babies the correct amount of exercise and attention. I have spent time volunteering in shelters and I am able to work with dogs that may be more timid or shy. I work from home and so have a flexible schedule where I’d have the ability to help out with doggos. I use this as a side gig so I am very flexible. I have a fenced in yard for my dogs. I always carry extra leashes or harnesses with me in case they are needed. I will follow the instructions given to me by the owner.
“My first time using Rover, and I’ll definitely be using it again thanks to Christina. Being 600 miles away from my pet and leaving her with a complete stranger had my mind worried but quickly eased with how well Christina was taking care of my Bella”

“Anna did a great job with our 2 big dogs! She had a couple of sticky situations (one dog getting sick and the bedroom door knob falling off) and she handled them like a pro. Will absolutely rebook with her”

“Monica did a great job for me and my furry boys! She is very conscientious and sent me great photos and a recap of their activities each day. I really appreciated the clear and consistent communication. She’s clearly great with animals—my cats loved her!”

“Emily awesome. Great communicator and sent pictures throughout our trip. She handled three dogs with no issues including daily walks. House was spotless when we arrived. Hope to see her again.”

“Karin was awesome! We were visiting from out of town. Karin watched Meadow and Truffle overnight. We appreciate her watching the pups and how good she was with them! She was easy to communicate with and the dogs had a great time!!”

“Basma is an incredible sitter and I would highly recommend her for any furry friend!!! She watched my recently adopted dog for four days and really put my mind at ease during my trip. I received many updates on the status of my dogs, including the cutest videos and photos, and I knew she was taking great care of my pup. My dog will definitely miss the undivided attention and love Basma gave him and we will definitely be calling her again in the future!”

About: Hi, I’m Jacob! My husband and I recently moved to Indianapolis from Fort Lauderdale to be closer to family, and I’m excited to start caring for pets in our new city. I’m the proud dad of two 4-year-old French Bulldogs, Aspen and Onyx. As anyone with Frenchies knows, they can be high-maintenance health-wise, so I’m used to paying close attention to breathing, temperature, activity levels, and overall comfort. I take the best care of my own dogs and will do the same for yours. I’ve been walking and caring for dogs for over 15 years (mostly informally for family and friends). Over the years I’ve had Black Labs, Golden Retrievers, and Dachshunds, plus cats growing up. I’ve also raised macaws, sugar gliders, and other exotic pets, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of animals and personalities. Your dog or cat will get calm, consistent care from someone who genuinely loves animals. I currently offer: • Dog walking (short or long) • Drop-in visits • House sitting I’m in nursing school, so my schedule is very flexible. I’m available weekdays, weekends, and holidays (I’ll block off the occasional cruise dates in advance). I’m calm by nature but have plenty of energy for walks of any length, and I’m happy to follow whatever routine and sleeping arrangements work best for your pet. I’m looking forward to meeting your furry family members and giving them the attentive, loving care they deserve. Feel free to reach out with any questions! I'm in nursing school (mainly online classes at the moment), which keeps my schedule flexible and varied week to week. I'm available weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and can typically accommodate morning, midday, or evening visits depending on what your pet needs. The only exception is the occasional cruise I'll block off well in advance. If you need a consistent daily routine or last-minute coverage, I'm happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits. My schedule is very flexible. I only provide care in your pet's own home, so they get to stay in their familiar environment, routine, and space rather than adjusting to somewhere new. As a Frenchie dad to two dogs with health needs, I'm naturally attentive to safety — checking that gates, doors, and yards are secure, keeping a close eye on eating and bathroom habits, and watching for any signs something's off. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I'd want for my own, and I'm always reachable for updates or questions while you're away.
About: Animals have always been part of my life. I grew up walking our family dog and my sister's dog, giving them plenty of love, attention, and outdoor time. Now I care for my own cat, who I've had for five years. I understand the patience and affection each pet needs, whether they're energetic pups or independent cats. Your pet will get the same warmth and reliability I've always given my own. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I'm a graduate student who loves animals and values a calm, consistent routine. I work only Friday and Saturday evenings (6pm–11pm), which means I'm fully available Monday through Thursday, plus Friday and Saturday daytime—so I have plenty of open time for walks, playtime, feeding, and cuddles. My Master's program classes begin August 27th, but even after that, my schedule stays light enough that your pet remains a priority. Your pet won't just be squeezed into my day; they'll get one-on-one attention and lots of love. In my client's home, I follow your instructions exactly—feeding schedules, walking routes, medication, and any house rules—so your pet stays comfortable in their own space. I'm attentive, reliable, and treat your home with respect, keeping things clean and secure. In my own home, I'm in an apartment complex that has both a fenced dog-walking area and an unfenced walking area, so there are safe, flexible options depending on your pet's needs. I always use a leash in unfenced spaces and keep a close eye on your pet in the fenced area. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priority, and I'll make sure they get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention either way.
“We’ve used Rover for years and never had such a positive experience as we did with Megan. She not only took diligent notes about all of my pups little quirks and preferences, but she really went the extra mile every opportunity she had. Our dogs loved her, too 😃. I will absolutely be using her in the future and recommending Megan to anyone looking for a pet/house sitter.”

“Gianna watched our bud Goose while we were away for the weekend and it was a great choice. She was communicative, great with Goose, and had absolutely no troubles taking care of him. We came home to a very happy boy, and I’m sure he will be staying with Gianna again in the future.”

Courtney was great with the dogs and our anxious boy took to her well. She only stayed one night but made our return home very pleasant because she also did some unexpected cleaning-my favorite thing to come home to after a trip. She was very responsive. Would definitely recommend and will be using her again.

Overall, Kellsey did great with caring for my dogs! My girls can “pout” a bit while I am away and she made sure that she messaged me to ensure that they were ok and that it was normal. She was able to meet my girls before my trip so that I knew they got along well!

Heather was a wonderful dog sitter! She was gracious and attentive in our meet and greet, asking good questions. She stayed in touch with us and reassured us that our senior dog was doing well. The house was spotless and sheets changed when we got home. She left a good-bye card for us and a note with last minute messages in it. We appreciated all her efforts on behalf of our dog and us.

Skylar took excellent care of our doggies! She sent us pics and updates nearly everyday. The dogs were very happy and contented when we returned home so we knew they had a good time. And she left the house spotless clean. She is so sweet and we will definitely ask her to watch them again!

Cecilia did an amazing job watching our dog and house while we were away on vacation. She was reliable, communicative, and took wonderful care of everything. Our pup absolutely loved her! We would highly recommend Cecilia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.

Regan was absolutely amazing while staying at our home and caring for Lola. She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay, keeping me updated with messages and photos so I always knew Lola was doing well. It was obvious that Regan genuinely spent quality time with Lola...playing with her, giving her attention, taking her on walks, and making sure she felt loved while we were away. She went above and beyond, even getting up in the middle of the night to let Lola out when needed. Regan treated both my home and my dog with so much care and respect. I would absolutely have her stay again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and caring pet sitter.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Broad Ripple walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Broad Ripple maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Broad Ripple choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
