“Maddie stayed with my dog Cubana for two nights and it went very smoothly! Maddie is very responsive and caring and takes time to send updates and pics throughout the time I’m gone. I will definitely book her again! Thanks!😊”

“Our fur babies love Brittney! She is great with them! Our dogs are a little extra sometimes but she has no problem dealing with them. She is our favorite go to sitter for our pups. 🐶 😊”

“Stephanie stayed with our dogs for 10 days and took great care of them. She was also more than willing to help with small household things. The dogs seemed super happy and comfortable with her. I have a diabetic chi. and she learned how to give him his shots as well. I would definitely recommend her!”
“Abigail immediately instilled such confidence for us leaving our Kolbe with her, it was such a relief. She’s extremely professional, highly communicative, easy to engage with, and Kolbe seemed to love being with her. He was totally his normal self when we returned which I think speaks volumes in puppy language. Very happy with Abigail’s service and will be booking her again!”

“Allison is awesome! She does such a great job with our girls and is very patient with our Shepard. We love working with her and she always goes above and beyond!”

“Lo took great care of our dogs and the house. I will be using her again and highly recommend. My dogs take a minute to let new people in their circle and she did great with them. They loved her!”

About: I have a day job typically from 8-4. I am flexible with being out in the community everyday. I grew up with dogs, even a deaf dog. I love all kinds of dogs and cats. I currently have two cats of my own. Depending on the time of sit, I can walk them. There will be times they may be alone for a period of time- such as the afternoon. I do like to know ahead of time but if something happens last minute I totally understand, life is like that. I will do my best to keep you informed. i have a typical 8-4 job. I am out in the community the noblesville, Carmel and Westfield throughout the week. I am flexible with schedules. I do not have my home open for other cats/dogs. I will not take in any cats/dog/s. All sits will stay at clients house no matter what.
“I can’t recommend Gabriela enough! She helped me out on very short notice, and I’m so grateful she was available. My dog can be a handful—he’s big (around 100 pounds) and very affectionate—but she handled him with so much patience and confidence. It’s clear she really understands dogs, especially larger breeds, and knows how to manage their energy while still giving them the love and attention they need. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. If you’re looking for someone reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely great with dogs, Gabriela is the one!”

About: I have ample experience watching my friend's energetic dog. At first he was shy around me, but I was able to gain his trust and now we're buddies! :) I am doing only gig work at the moment while I am learning languages and upskilling. My schedule is very flexible and that allows me to adapt to your pet's specific needs. I pay close attention to promptings from the pet of needing additional attention and care. I also pay attention for feedback on the pet's feelings about their food.

“Ellen took great care of the dogs while you were out of town. She even stayed after the allotted time when our flight was delayed. We will definitely use her in the future.”
“10/10 recommend Karin! She took wonderful care of my car and dog while I was out of town for two weeks. It made me nervous to leave them for so long, but Karin quickly showed how much love and affection they’d get while she was there!”

“Alexa was amazing with my fur babies. Very communicative and plenty of pics sent of my well cared for pets! Came home to very happy babies. Will definitely book again and recommend 100%”

“Tucker stayed with jedi all weekend, he took him on walks, kept me updated (with pictures) and gave him the attention he deserves. Jedi liked his company and I will happily rebook if he is available for my next trip.”

“Madeline was fantastic with the 5 pups. Highly recommend her services. She went above and beyond to ensure that the pups were fed and loved while we were away with an especially rough week losing both in laws and an aunt in the same week. Can't compliment her enough.”

“Emily was great at keeping me updated on my dogs and sent photos frequently. They were happy and healthy when I returned from my trip. I will definitely use her again in the future.”

“Brooks was excellent at taking care of our dog Cooper while we were away. They were very attentive and gave regular check ins on how Cooper was doing and what he was up to. The also administered medication as requested and followed all care instructions. I would definitely use them again in the future for my pet sitting needs!”

“Zoe was incredible. Our house was clean when we came back home, and she handled all the animal care flawlessly. She checked in multiple times a day and went above and beyond making all our critters comfortable, even amidst a minor medical issue with our dog. We’ll be booking Zoe for all our trips in the future.”

“Overall, Kellsey did great with caring for my dogs! My girls can “pout” a bit while I am away and she made sure that she messaged me to ensure that they were ok and that it was normal. She was able to meet my girls before my trip so that I knew they got along well!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Broad Ripple
Heather was awesome with our lab, Matilda. We felt totally comfortable with her and this made our overnight more enjoyable. Heather was patient with Matilda and went the extra mile when Tilds was being stubborn. We will definitely book Heather again and recommend her highly.

Courtney was great with the dogs and our anxious boy took to her well. She only stayed one night but made our return home very pleasant because she also did some unexpected cleaning-my favorite thing to come home to after a trip. She was very responsive. Would definitely recommend and will be using her again.

Cecilia did an amazing job watching our dog and house while we were away on vacation. She was reliable, communicative, and took wonderful care of everything. Our pup absolutely loved her! We would highly recommend Cecilia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Broad Ripple walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Broad Ripple maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Broad Ripple choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
