I'm currently pet sitting to supplement my early retirement, focusing on overnight care for a select number of clients. My schedule is flexible enough to accommodate daily drop-ins, short and long term overnight care, as well as last minute drop-ins for established clients.

A typical day
I look forward to daily walks when I’m caring for dogs. Giving them the opportunity to sniff and explore their environment while getting exercise is so important. Whatever a pet owner does to provide exercise and enrichment for their pet, I will do my best to replicate when the pets are in my care.

I grew up with both cats and dogs; as an adult I was a Labrador Retriever mom for over 20 years and more recently have owned 2 cats. I began pet sitting for friends in 2019, including caring for a senior dog that required 24/7 care and a cat that required daily medication. In 2022-2023, I worked for a local pet sitting company and gained valuable experience caring for a wide variety of dog breeds and cats. Caring for animals has always been second nature to me; I understand their routines, quirks and how much comfort they find in familiarity.

Heather was a wonderful dog sitter! She was gracious and attentive in our meet and greet, asking good questions. She stayed in touch with us and reassured us that our senior dog was doing well. The house was spotless and sheets changed when we got home. She left a good-bye card for us and a note with last minute messages in it. We appreciated all her efforts on behalf of our dog and us.
Over the past decade, Heather has taken care of my house and pets on multiple occasions for periods ranging from 10 days to 5 weeks. She is tidy, organized, and respectful in taking care of my home, and her skill as a pet sitter is exceptional. Heather is kind and compassionate and is tuned in to the unique needs of each animal under her care. In 2022, I asked her to care for my beloved elderly, ailing, blind dog who required special assistance including a complicated medication protocol. Naia trusted and loved Heather, and knowing that my sweet girl was in excellent hands, I was able to travel for work. Since then, Heather regularly pet sits my golden retriever pup, generously providing the love, stimulation, and discipline needed to ensure Kaialani's happiness and reinforce her good behavior. I receive photos and updates daily, allowing me to feel connected to my pup from afar. I never worry about Kaialani when I travel, and find that she is better behaved upon returning home. After a pet sitting stay, many of my neighbors request Heather's contact information. They describe her as the 'most professional pet sitter' they have encountered. I highly recommend her services!
While I was traveling out of the country for a 2 week trip, Heather took care of my 2 cats at my house. When she first met my cats, I immediately knew she was an animal lover! She sent me photos regularly, which always made my day! I returned home to a clean house and she left me a nice note about how much she enjoyed spending time with my cats. I highly recommend her as a pet caregiver.
