About: I grew up taking care of several cats, and as a mom I helped my 4 daughters raise and train for obedience 3 dogs. Recently, I worked for 3 years at a (small animal & equestrian) veterinarian clinic in the front office. I take care of walking,feeding, and loving on my neighbors’ pets on a regular basis. My own Labrador, Nico, passed in December 2025. Boarding other pets give me the opportunity to still feel the joy of having a pet around. My day job is somewhat flexible on start and end times, most afternoons I work from home and I can fit in breaks when neeeded I will adapt to your pet’s personality and level of desire for interaction. When taking your pet out, I am mindful of whether or not to let them interact with other pets and people.

About: I started to house/pet sit in 2012 and have been doing it 2-3 times a year ever since. I mostly have taken care of dogs, but have taken care of a couple of cats. I have a full time job on the south side of Indy. I work Monday through Friday, 7:30-4:00. I’m able to feed and take outside before heading to work (if staying at a client’s house) and after work, can take out, feed, and hang out with the pet(s). At a client’s home, I make sure dogs go out and potty and run around if they want to. I always check to see if the pets have plenty of water and give treats, per client’s directions. If a pet has an accident in the house, I will clean it up.

She watched our 4-year-old Rottweiler, Brutus, and our 8-year-old Black Lab mix, Knox, for eight days while we were out of the country, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. From the very beginning, Lauren was great with communication and took the time to do a meet-and-greet before our trip. She was immediately comfortable with our large dogs, which gave us a lot of confidence. She also asked really thoughtful and proactive questions about their care, including which vet we use and other important details. It was clear that she genuinely cared about making sure she understood our dogs and their needs. While we were away, Lauren sent regular updates and pictures. She found the perfect balance, enough updates that we knew the dogs were happy and doing well, without so many that we felt overwhelmed. It gave us so much peace of mind being able to see that Brutus and Knox were comfortable and well cared for. She was also extremely respectful of our home and left everything in great shape. Overall, Lauren was responsible, caring, communicative, trustworthy, and clearly loves animals. We would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone, especially anyone with larger dogs!
I booked Journie to stay with my 12-year-old, blind American Eskimo and could not have been happier with how things turned out. She stayed in our home for 9 days and when I came back, everything looked just as I had left it. Spotless! She took great care of my sweet Sadie, administering her insulin shots every morning and night, walking her daily, sitting outside weather permitting, and playing ball on occasion. Sadie lets me know if her sitter is warm and welcoming or not, she won't speak to me for at least a day, will even growl if I try to pet her if her if the experience was subpar. But with Journie, that was not the case. Sadie was her usual happy and loving self when I returned, telling me she was well taken care of. Journie also took pictures and texted me often with short updates. She was very transparent upfront on what days she would be gone all day for work, which allowed me to reach out to a neighbor to let Sadie out mid-day for a potty break. I was extremely happy with Journie's care for Sadie and highly recommend her. I will definitely be reaching out to her again. Thank you, Journie!
