“Kendall did a great job caring for my dogs. They loved her!! She took them on adventures and treated them to pup cups at Starbucks! Yes, my dogs are a little bougie 😊. I highly recommend Kendall to care for your pet(s).”

“I can’t recommend Gabriela enough! She helped me out on very short notice, and I’m so grateful she was available. My dog can be a handful—he’s big (around 100 pounds) and very affectionate—but she handled him with so much patience and confidence. It’s clear she really understands dogs, especially larger breeds, and knows how to manage their energy while still giving them the love and attention they need. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. If you’re looking for someone reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely great with dogs, Gabriela is the one!”

“Allison stayed with our dogs while we were gone. We could tell they were exercised when we got home because they were calm. One of our dogs is high energy & we have been working on their jumping. We could tell Allison had consistent worked on their behavior while we were away. The house was clean like we left it & she took care of our flowers & brought in the mail & trash cans. She sent us updates, pictures & videos. It made us feel at ease knowing our dogs were having fun too. We would definitely book with Allison again.”

“Overall, Kellsey did great with caring for my dogs! My girls can “pout” a bit while I am away and she made sure that she messaged me to ensure that they were ok and that it was normal. She was able to meet my girls before my trip so that I knew they got along well!”

“Regina was awesome taking care of our senior dog while we were in Montana. She gave us updates each day and we came home to a very happy dog! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!”

“Christina was great stopping in to feed and let my dogs out. She did great with one of my dogs who is very anxious. She also helped feed my guinea pigs while I was away which was very appreciated!”

“Bailey was awesome! Our three dogs were happy and well taken care of while we were gone. Bailey did a great job communicating with us and sent pictures of the dogs to us while we were away. The house was well taken care of and looked just as it did when we left.”

“I never left my dog with anyone outside of family but Eileen made me feel comfortable that my dog would be in good hands. She sent me some updates to let me know she was doing well and my dog was great and happy when I returned. I would definitely use her again!”

“Rhonda was wonderful!! I just rescued this dog and she has some challenges. Rhonda did a great job dealing with her issues and making sure that everything went well. I will definately use her again in the future.”

“Megan did an amazing job! Took notes and was flexible to every need and preference, pictures and updates regularly, and my minions clearly had a lot of fun! Highly recommend and will be requesting again for my future dog sitting! Thanks Megan!!!”

“This was the first time I use Gianna and she was wonderful! She took great care of my pups, sent me multiple pictures and keep me posted especially to let me know that my older pup was limping. I will definitely use her again!”

“Basma is an incredible sitter and I would highly recommend her for any furry friend!!! She watched my recently adopted dog for four days and really put my mind at ease during my trip. I received many updates on the status of my dogs, including the cutest videos and photos, and I knew she was taking great care of my pup. My dog will definitely miss the undivided attention and love Basma gave him and we will definitely be calling her again in the future!”

“With the meet and greet we could see that William knows how to relate to dogs. He suggested that he wanted to rollerblade with Bella because she has so much energy. I can tell when we arrived home that she was well taken care of because she was relaxed and acted like we weren’t even gone. It is nice to know we have found someone who we can trust with our Bella and our home. We have booked William again.”

About: I grew up with a sheltie and spent the last 7 months walking dogs with a small pet company in Utah. Until the time is right for our own pet, I’m excited to walk with furry friends who need some extra company! I have a very flexible schedule and am able to spend time with animals morning, afternoon, or evening. Taking care of your pet for a short drop-in or a longer period of time will brighten my day with play and furry fun! I’ll keep a watchful eye on your pets in your home and surrounding areas. We’ll stick close together on walks and take water breaks as needed.
“Emily is a great communicator and always lets me know when she arrives, feeds the animals and updates each day. She shares photos and is courteous and takes great care of the house. .”

“Kyla is wonderful! We would definitely have her stay with our pups again and highly recommend her! She was very responsive from the get go. When scheduling the initial meet and greet, she was very accommodating/understanding. She was prompt and had all the right questions when she met the pups. We could tell she was going to be very considerate with them, which is what put at ease! Throughout her stay, she kept us updated on everything going on at home, which allowed us to truly enjoy our trip without worrying about our pups. She was so patient with our dogs and their quirks and let them warm up to her on their terms! She was a great houseguest too! Thank you truly, Kyla!”

“Heather was amazing with Rip & Diesel. I couldn’t ask for a better house / dog sitter. It was a last minute booking and Heather came through for me. I will rebook for sure with Heather.”

Absolutely was a life saver for me this past week. Incredible communication, went out of her way to be flexible for me, sent me updates as I needed them, and kept me up to date on every detail of her weekend with Bella. I would book her 100x over and have absolutely zero concerns she would be perfect for anybody in any situation! Cannot thank her enough!!!!

Sofia was so fantastic in communicating before and during Michigan’s sitting. Felt totally comfortable leaving Michigan with her and giving her total access to my house while away. She even took pictures to check in during the sitting. I highly recommend Sofia to other pet parents. 10/10

Caelyn did a fabulous job with Sophie (bishon). I booked in-home overnights. She sent lots of pics per request and supplied updates at regular cadences. I trusted her and it allowed me to enjoy my time away! Would definitely recommend Caelyn for your pup 🐶-care!!
Brittany has become a go-to house sitter for me. My dog loves her. Her schedule aligns really well with my remote working schedule so the pal is never alone for long periods. I can leave the house with complete peace of mind knowing she’s going to be here for both short and longer stays. Thank you Brittany!!!

Fernanda was such a joy. She was wonderful with our two dogs, took them for walks, gave them snuggles and kept them entertained while we were out of town. She was very communicative and always available whenever I reached out. Would definitely hire her again!!

We’ve had Kristin’s watch our babies multiple times and each time has been amazing! She’s so thoughtful with her updates and pictures and the boys absolutely love her. It really gives you peace of mind knowing your babies are in such good hands while you’re away.

Nathan was wonderful. Shadow immediately connected with him, and it was clear to me that Nathan possesses both extensive knowledge and a genuine love for dogs. On his first day, Shadow was incredibly excited to see Nathan. His communication with me throughout was exceptional. I particularly appreciated his coordinated visits with a friend's dogs, and how he managed a challenge Shadow has, due to a previous attacked by another dog. Knowing Shadow was in such capable and caring hands allowed me to enjoy my trip. Shadow and I look forward to our next visit with Nathan.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Augusta walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Augusta maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Augusta choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
