âMegan was fantastic! She was flexible when care needed to be adjusted part way through the visit and provide excellent communication throughout her time with Karma and Kirk.â

âMadison is an absolutely fantastic pet sitter! She took amazing care of Lincoln, Buster, and Cora during our week-long trip. The daily photo updates she sent were so wonderful to receive and gave us such peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!â

âAllison was fantastic with our dogs. From the minute I met her, I know she would be a great person to watch our dogs. Not only did our dogs love her, but she was great about communicating with us while we were gone. We'll definitely use Allison again!â

âI had an amazing experience with Kia! Without a doubt, I highly recommend her services. Kia is not only reliable and caring but also demonstrated exceptional expertise when my pups had some tummy troubles. She made sure to keep me updated by calling and texting me pictures every day. I am definitely looking forward to having Kia take care of my pups again in the future.â

âI never left my dog with anyone outside of family but Eileen made me feel comfortable that my dog would be in good hands. She sent me some updates to let me know she was doing well and my dog was great and happy when I returned. I would definitely use her again!â

About: I am currently a proud parent to two cat, so Iâm very well versed in their play styles and respecting their boundaries. However I spent my childhood with a loving dog who recently passed away. Navigating his senior years taught me that care isnât just about walks or treats but about patience, sometimes administering medication, and recognizing subtle cues of a senior pet that may need a little extra comfort. Whether your pet is a high energy pet or senior pet who needs a gentle hand, I provide intuitive, dedicated, and delicate care that Iâd want for my own. Iâm currently a college student, but have lots of time to care for your pets! Iâm available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 PM-4:00 PM or 5:30 PM-10:00 PM. Thursday- Sunday Iâm available anytime after 7:00 PM. Whatever your pets need, I have it covered and their safety is always my number one priority. From double checking that every gate is latched and every lease is secured/correctly on to closely monitoring your pets for any sign of discomfort, ill treat your home and your pets with the highest level of care. Whether itâs following a strict medication schedule or navigating a high energy walk, Iâm prepared for any situation!
âWe would highly recommend Bailey for your pet/house sitting needs. It was our first time using Rover and we have three dogs (2 large) so we wanted someone that was comfortable around large dogs. Our dogs warmed up to Bailey as soon as they met her. We felt our home was in good hands and came back to it looking exactly as left. Will definitely look to Bailey in the future when needed.â

âJoe did an excellent job caring for our 3 large dogs! This was out 1st Rover experience so we were somewhat nervous. However, Joe came for a meet and greet 4 weeks before our travel date to ensure we were all a good fit and came back again the day before our trip. We felt 100% comfortable leaving our dogs under his care. Joe is super responsive, trustworthy and transparent!â

âBasma was very good with both my dogs and kitten, I was sent a lot of photo updates. She was very nice about one of my dogs having an upset stomach which gave her more work. I would definitely hire her again.â

âGianna was great! She watched our dog and stayed at our house while we were out of town. Tons of photos and responded quickly to any questions. We will definitely reach out to Gianna again.â

âChloe was a repeat sitter and would 100% rebook. She constantly communicated about the dogs and what they were doing. I appreciate her attention to detail so much! I know Luna and Banjo love her too!â

âRegina was wonderful! She took great care of our dog and cat in our home for the weekend. We look for a sitter who can spend a lot of time with our pets and sheâs able to do that! Sheâs professional, conscientious and trustworthy! I recommend her for anyone looking for pet care - 100%.â

âKyla spent a week with our two dogs and did a great job! She was a great communicator and was very open about any previous commitments to ensure it would work with our needs. She sent updates and photos which were much appreciated and made us feel much more comfortable while we were away. The house looked great when we got home, maybe even better than before we left! Would highly recommend her for your sitting needs, and we would definitely be inclined to use her again.â

âWe left our precious Pomeranian with Leah for eight days, and felt confident that our pup was in good hands. We were not wrong. Leah was conscientious and reliable, getting to know our pup more each day, and they felt totally comfortable with each other after a short time. Leah was responsible and followed all of our directions to a T. She stayed in our home and took fantastic care of the house as well as the dog. We will continue to use her as our dog sitter and highly recommend her services.â

âWe have a pretty anxious and at times, aggressive dog. Jacque is the first dog sitter weâve ever hired and she gave us complete and total peace of mind. Could not recommend more!â

âWill was great with our dogs! He great with up front communication, sent us pictures every day when we were gone and took such good care of them. We will use Will again for sure!â

âLaura did a great job staying at our house for a week taking care of our 13 week old lab puppy! It was a big ask, and her communication was great and the dog and home were in perfect order when we got back.â

About: I have had many dogs since I was a kid. As an adult, I have had 5 dogs over the years. They have always been adopted from a shelter or rescue group, plus one dog from an elderly friend. I have adopted 2 puppies and the others were several years old when they were adopted. I love their companionship. I walk our current dog as many days/week as possible. She is my travel buddy! I have crate-trained the puppies and provided as much love and care as possible for our senior dogs, including providing medication. My animals are my children and are very spoiled! I'm currently unemployed so available pretty much any time to care for animals. Once I find a full-time job, my schedule may change a bit but if my job is remote then I would have a lot of flexibility to care for the animals. I have a fairly large fenced yard for running and playing. Trees for observing the squirrels! There are 2 outside cats that do not really mind other dogs. My dog has done very well with other dogs as long as they are not aggressive or too big. I also live in a nice neighborhood where dogs can be walked, including a nice, wooded area with a great trail for walking. I also live close to Eagle Creek park where dogs could be walked.

Caelyn did a fabulous job with Sophie (bishon). I booked in-home overnights. She sent lots of pics per request and supplied updates at regular cadences. I trusted her and it allowed me to enjoy my time away! Would definitely recommend Caelyn for your pup đś-care!!
Madison is an absolutely fantastic pet sitter! She took amazing care of Lincoln, Buster, and Cora during our week-long trip. The daily photo updates she sent were so wonderful to receive and gave us such peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Brittany has become a go-to house sitter for me. My dog loves her. Her schedule aligns really well with my remote working schedule so the pal is never alone for long periods. I can leave the house with complete peace of mind knowing sheâs going to be here for both short and longer stays. Thank you Brittany!!!

Megan was absolutely fantastic! I went on a long vacation with my family and I always hate to leave my dogs. They're both getting older and don't like going to other homes or to boarding for overnights. Megan came to our house and made sure both of my babies were happy and healthy for the duration. She also made sure to communicate with me and send pictures of their backyard adventures. I'll definitely book again and I highly recommend her!

Allison is FANTASTIC! She took excellent care of the âkidsâ and our home while we were out of the country for a week. They had so much fun with her I think they were sad we came home. We have a high anxiety pup and Allison was super patient with her and ensured her meds stayed on track and that she got all the extra attention she needed. Allison sent tons of great photos and videos to keep us up to date each day!

Fernanda was such a joy. She was wonderful with our two dogs, took them for walks, gave them snuggles and kept them entertained while we were out of town. She was very communicative and always available whenever I reached out. Would definitely hire her again!!

Weâve had Kristinâs watch our babies multiple times and each time has been amazing! Sheâs so thoughtful with her updates and pictures and the boys absolutely love her. It really gives you peace of mind knowing your babies are in such good hands while youâre away.

Nathan was wonderful. Shadow immediately connected with him, and it was clear to me that Nathan possesses both extensive knowledge and a genuine love for dogs. On his first day, Shadow was incredibly excited to see Nathan. His communication with me throughout was exceptional. I particularly appreciated his coordinated visits with a friend's dogs, and how he managed a challenge Shadow has, due to a previous attacked by another dog. Knowing Shadow was in such capable and caring hands allowed me to enjoy my trip. Shadow and I look forward to our next visit with Nathan.

FAQs for House Sitting - Augusta
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Augusta on Rover is $39.96 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,532 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Augusta. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Augusta walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Augusta maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Augusta choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Augusta. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
