About: My 17 year old brownie passed in May 2026, and I had spent the last 15 years loving her, but her final 3 years caring for her in her old age. From cleaning the messes from an old bladder to hand-cooking her food for her allergies, I have learned the amount of care is different for each animal, and I am flexible with what is necessary to keep them happy. I am currently living a happy, unemployed life and excited to give your pet all the attention and time they need! Flexible on the weekends and weekdays. Your home is you and your pets’ safe space, and I respect every aspect of it and will keep it the way you left it. Clean, organized, and comfortable.

About: I started to house/pet sit in 2012 and have been doing it 2-3 times a year ever since. I mostly have taken care of dogs, but have taken care of a couple of cats. I have a full time job on the south side of Indy. I work Monday through Friday, 7:30-4:00. I’m able to feed and take outside before heading to work (if staying at a client’s house) and after work, can take out, feed, and hang out with the pet(s). At a client’s home, I make sure dogs go out and potty and run around if they want to. I always check to see if the pets have plenty of water and give treats, per client’s directions. If a pet has an accident in the house, I will clean it up.

Alyssa was absolutely awesome. Due to timing we weren’t able to have her meet our Dog ahead of time but she was so great at communicating that it felt like we had. I couldn’t be happier with the care Debbie provided for my Peter! From the very first meet-and-greet, it was clear she cared about animals. Debbie kept me updated with adorable photos and little notes about my dog’s day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Lauran has become not only a critical part of our care team for our sweet baby, but also an extended part of our family. Our senior dog has needed an increasing level of care and support, and Lauran has been reliable in her willingness to support in whatever way will help our baby and ourselves as the owner/family. We trust her as a surrogate pet parent for us (which says a great deal) in that she is organized and time-conscious to keep medication management and feeding on course as well as attentive to our pet and communicative with us as well as our vet to ensure that we are all in the loop together for best care and decision making. Lauran goes over and above to ensure the care and safety of our sweet angel and allows us to know that she is in the best care possible when we are not there. This is the first person we have had stay in our home when we are away and that is also a huge step for us--with Lauran, she makes it easy--we would not be able to be away without her.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
