Availability
Depending on the service(s) needed, I am potentially available any day of the week. I work a typical 9-5 job Monday through Friday, but I am able to work remote at least once a week and to leave for breaks to go back and give dogs a potty break or administer medications. If I am pet sitting on a remote work day, then I will work from wherever your pet is. I take pet care seriously and will be sure to communicate my schedule and follow as closely to what your pet is used to.

I will be sure to follow the given instructions regarding the home and the pet care. I prioritize keeping your pet's routine as consistent as I am able to and make sure they receive both basic care (food, water, bathroom) as well as attention, play, and affection.

Before sitting, I like to know about your pet's routine, personality, medical needs, and any specific behaviors (i.e., anxiety, escape tendencies, sensitivities to other animals). Please let me know if they have any special care concerns, favorite activities, and anything else you think is relevant. I am comfortable with any breed and age range. I recognize that some animals are touchy or require being approached in a certain manner - This is fine and I will do my best to make them feel at ease! To ensure a safe and positive experience for both the pet and myself, I am most comfortable caring for pets without a history of unwarranted aggression toward people.
A typical day
I enjoy making sure pets stay physically and mentally stimulated while their owners are away. For dogs, this could include walks, playtime indoors or outdoors, fetch, treats, practicing basic commands (sit, lie down, etc.), or whatever else the owner lets me know that they enjoy. For cats, I can play with them, give treats, pet them, or just sit in the same room as them depending on their personality. If your cat likes walks, I can even take them outside assuming you have a leash and harness for them. I can adjust to the pet's activity or ability level.

I grew up with cats and dogs and have been a pet sitter for friends, family, and colleagues for over a decade. I have hands-on experience working as kennel staff in a veterinary office that also provided dog and cat boarding. Through this experience, I learned a lot about pet care, different breeds and temperaments, and animal medical care. I also previously worked at a dog and cat grooming business. Both these jobs taught me attentiveness and calmness around animals. I am confident in caring for cats and dogs, including walking, playing, feeding, administering medications, following instructions, and maintaining their routine while giving them lots of love. I am comfortable with puppies/kittens all the way to senior animals. I pride myself in being reliable and building trust with both pet and owner. I treat every pet like my own and prioritize clear communication so owners feel at ease while they’re away.

Amanda is one of Juju Bean's (16 year old cat) favorite sitters to come see her! Amanda has cats of her own, so nothing shocks her and she knows how to properly care! She has gone above and beyond for Juju with all of her special needs. Amanda always sends photos of her and Juju on the couch or floor with a snack or giving her pets. I trust Amanda with my whole world: Juju Bean. Amanda has even gone to my vet with me to learn more about Juju's special needs and how to better care for her. Amanda is so kind, gentle, and patient and Juju loves her!
Amanda watched my dog, Harley, in a pinch and was wonderful! She was able to walk Harley and make sure she was cared for while I was out of the state. I will be going to Amanda from now on when I go out of town to take care of my dog because she knows what it means to be a caregiver for animals and treat fur babies like her own. Leaving your pet with someone is a huge act of trust, and Amanda makes it easy. She is detailed and careful about following care instructions, from specific feeding schedules to medication needs. Amanda is a natural with animals, she truly engages with them and cares for them, doesn’t just 'watch' them; she plays with them and keeps them happy. If you want a sitter who is caring, communicative, and genuinely loves what she does, Amanda is the one. I wouldnt every hesitate to leave my cat and dog in Amandas capable and loving hands.
