About: Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always prefer preferred animals over humans! I’ve had cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, and I’ve never met a species of pet I don’t like! I’ve cleaned litterboxes, taken care of sick cats and dogs, walked and bathed dogs, and am constantly doing research to know more about our four legged family members! I currently work for myself and make my own hours, so I’m very flexible during the week! I have four cats of my own and one beloved nephew-puppy I often help care for. I’ve taken care of pets my whole life! I can provide a clean and safe environment for animals such as puppy proofing, litterbox cleaning, dish cleaning, and accident clean ups while also providing other services to keep your four legged friends happy and healthy such as walks, play time, and whatever you feel your pet may need.
“I couldn’t be happier with the care Debbie provided for my Peter! From the very first meet-and-greet, it was clear she cared about animals. Debbie kept me updated with adorable photos and little notes about my dog’s day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Debbie is also very communicative and responsive to all my questions. I highly recommend Debbie to anyone.”

“We will 100% be booking with Liz again. She was very attentive from the initial message, through the meet and greet and the actual drop in visits. Our kitties were very well cared for and the photos and updates were great.”
“Adam did an awesome job with my pups! Adam has cool vibes, communicates very well, and put my mind and heart at ease with my fur bumpkins. Even with a Reno project going on, Adam came through and assisted. Looking forward to the next time Adam gets to work with my trio!”

“Amanda showed up on time, every day for a week and did everything we asked. She did her best to medicate a car that didn't want to be medicated and managed through our 3 cats becoming increasingly stressed about our absence over the course of a week. She also went the extra step to clean up multiple "accidents" and send pictures of the cats every visit. We'd definitely book her again!”

“Lori was amazing with our Ragdoll kitten, Mochi! She’s very communicative, honest, and provides good detail (and great pictures!) in all of the updates she sends. What really stood out was how calmly and responsibly she handled an unexpected situation when our kitten fell off a ledge in our home. Lori let us know right away, checked on our kitten carefully, rearranged some items to reduce future risk, and kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind. Mochi recovered well, and it was clear she was being very well-cared for the entire time. We truly appreciated Lori’s honesty, quick response, and level-headedness in that stressful moment. She is very trustworthy. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and would absolutely recommend her to others.”

“Madison is the dog sitter of your dreams. She’s responsive, punctual, gentle, attentive, responsible, she’s everything you hope for when looking for care for your pet.”

“Eileen did a great job taking care of my kitties! One of my cats threw up JUST before we left for the weekend, and she did a great job taking care of him and providing updates on his health while we were gone.”

“gianna was amazing!!! she watched & fed my cats for a few days and i can’t be happier! i got so many cute pictures while i was away and updates every visit! i will be hiring again when i need someone. thank you!!!”
“Emily was super communicative and helpful in taking care of Scout during my time away from home. I really appreciated her quick responses and problem solving! Would highly recommend her for pet sitting.”

“Melissa is great! Super reliable and a good communicator. We were new to the area and so glad we found Melissa to take care of our pets & home soon after we moved in & had to go on a trip.”

“Nicole is dependable and great with our dogs and anything else we may need while away. She is fun and a great communicator. Can't say enough great things. She has be caring for our dogs for tears now. We are very grateful.”

“Brittany came in clutch when I needed a last minute sitter. She was extremely professional, polite, and great with my pup! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!”

“Brelynn is amazing! She was so kind and gentle with my senior dog, who needs medicine hidden in wet food and also needs assistance getting up and down the stairs to my deck. Even in frigid January temperatures, Brelynn gave my dog the outdoor time she needed and then cuddled with her indoors for the rest of the visit. She gave my dog more time and attention than I can provide over a rushed lunch hour, and I’m so grateful for the loving care she gave my doggy!”

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats since I was a kid, and caring for animals has always been second nature to me. Over the years, I’ve pet sat for a variety of breeds, temperaments, and routines — from energetic pups who love long walks to shy kitties who need a calm presence. Whether it’s playtime, feeding, cuddles, or medication schedules, I’ve got it covered. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your pets with someone who truly cares. My goal is always to make your pets feel safe, loved, and at home — and to give you peace of mind while you’re away. Let me know your pet’s unique needs and personality — I can’t wait to meet them! I work full time as a Respiratory Therapist, I have two dogs of my own, and love having the opportunity to love on others pets when they need it the most! I have dog sat for multiple of my neighbors on multiple occasions, as well as my family members! I am looking for more ways to get myself out side and try something new! I treat every pet as if they are my own! Pets are just as much a part of the family as any human and deserve all the love and affection they can get!
“Rachel did an amazing job taking care of my cat while I was away for the weekend. She gave detailed descriptions on how the visits went and sent several pictures. I hope she’s available again in the future if needed, and would recommend to anyone! :)”

“I just had Will stay with my dog for the first time and he did great! Mabel is pretty high energy and she was very happy and relaxed when I got home. I will definitely use Will again :)”

Liz has been my go to for the past year that I have lived in Indy. I cannot recommend her enough. She always gets cute pictures of my girls when she’s there. My cats have two very different personalities and even my skittish kitty loves Liz. I rest easy knowing she’s coming to take care of the girls. If you’re in the Indy area and need a pet sitter- Liz is a no brainer.

We enjoyed meeting Nakasha at our scheduled meet and greet session. Nakasha did a great job of taking care of our fur baby while my husband and I were out of town. We appreciated the pictures and communication she provided us. We highly recommend Nakasha and hope to have her take care of our cat, Minnie the next time we go out of town.

Kia was great and we definitely plan to use her again for our upcoming trips. Kia stopped by prior to our trip for a meet and greet and to get instructions on feeding and medication, which made me feel more comfortable. She provided excellent care for our two cats during our 10 day vacation, and I loved the comments and pictures she provided as updates each time she visited. I highly recommend booking Kia if you're looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Augusta. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
