âWas super friendly and quick to respond and made sure to send me picture updates! So glad he was able to drop in and help out, especially during a holiday weekend.â

âKristina was so sweet to my kitties! She took great care of them and did a wonderful job communicating with me. I loved the pictures she sent while I was away!â

âI just had Will stay with my dog for the first time and he did great! Mabel is pretty high energy and she was very happy and relaxed when I got home. I will definitely use Will again :)â
âSusan took care of our two senior cats while we were out of the state for eight days. I could tell from the pictures and how our cats acted when we got home, that she did a remarkable job in caring for them. They were well fed, medicated, and well loved. Thank you Susan, for making our trip more enjoyable and less anxiety filled, as I knew they were in great hands :)â
About: Iâve always loved being around dogs! I've spent almost 3 years at a doggy daycare, where I'm actively learning how to read dog body language, keep group and 1-on-1 time safe, and handle feeding routines. Over the years, Iâve gained experience working with a variety of personalities including dogs who are reactive or display aggressive behavior. I also have my own reactive dog so I understand firsthand how important it is to be patient, attentive, and consistent. Taking care of animals is something I truly enjoy, and I always do my best to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Iâm currently working part-time, but Iâm free most Mondays and Wednesdays from the morning through late afternoon. Fridays are usually open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., since I work at 2 p.m. Feel free to ask about other days too, and I can let you know what works for me đ I unfortunately can't provide space for your beloved pet as I have a reactive dog and cat. However, I believe that I'm able to make your pet feel comfortable in its own home even if you're gone. I can be playful but also relaxed. I will be able to give your pet plenty of attention when they want it!
âAnna did an awesome job taking care of our girl while we were put of town! She gave regular updates and shared pictures to help put our minds at ease while we were away! I didnt have to worry about a thing! Highly recommend!â

âI'm so grateful for sitters like Luis, best one I ever had. Was quick and efficient and followed instructions perfectly. It was a last minute request while I was already out of town and he saved the day!â

âKatie was great with my kitties. They got to know each other and bonded quickly, and she always sent informative notes and took great pictures of my little guys. They seemed to do really well with her. I would definitely like to schedule with her again.â

âAdam did an awesome job with my pups! Adam has cool vibes, communicates very well, and put my mind and heart at ease with my fur bumpkins. Even with a Reno project going on, Adam came through and assisted. Looking forward to the next time Adam gets to work with my trio!â

About: Iâve taken care of dogs, cats, rodents, and reptiles and love spending time with everyoneâs pets! Please reach out for any and all pet care needs. I work full-time, but from home at least one or twice a week. My weekends and afternoon/evenings are very open and I am thankfully very mobile. I am very mobile so I can visit and care for your pets in the home theyâre used to staying in. I am comfortable with dog-walking, playing outside/inside, and giving your animals the space they need around a new person. I have two special needs pets so I have experience with unique pet needs and am very capable of making sure I provide quality care!
âAnnie took great care of our cat! We booked her last minute, only a couple days before our trip. She was very responsive and even took the time to visit to see where everything is/pick up the key before we left. We were very pleasantly surprised our cat was interacting with her during her visits. He often hides under the bed with new people. Highly recommend.â

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Ravenswood
We have a geriatric cat so I am always nervous leaving her but I feel better knowing Jena will be checking on her while I'm away. This is the second time we have had Jena petsit our cats (1 geriatric, 1 crazy kitten) and I intend on requesting her services next vacation.

Nicholas took care of our 2 cats while we were away on vacation and I was extremely happy with the care they received! We got updates and photos after every visit and could tell that Jimmy and Addy were well taken care of. Nicholas is very kind, reliable, and trust worthy to watch over your pets and I highly reccommend! Will definitely rebook in the future!
Brooks did a fantastic job caring for our zoo while we were away! They followed our instructions to a T (no easy feat for three cats and two senior dogs!) and we were able to relax and not worry about our fur babies at all. We will happily hire Brooks again the next time we go out of town!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your catsâ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, donât forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ravenswood. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
