“Karin does an excellent job taking care of both of my dogs. Stewie is high energy and feisty, while Lily is sweet, older, and blind. She has given medication and fed them. All around superb service!!”

“Was super friendly and quick to respond and made sure to send me picture updates! So glad he was able to drop in and help out, especially during a holiday weekend.”

“Erin is incredible! She took time to let our shy girl get to know her and by the end of our trip Marigold and Erin were best friends! She sends the best update photos, and we felt like our girl was so well taken care of while we were away.”

“I just had Will stay with my dog for the first time and he did great! Mabel is pretty high energy and she was very happy and relaxed when I got home. I will definitely use Will again :)”
“Anna did an awesome job taking care of our girl while we were put of town! She gave regular updates and shared pictures to help put our minds at ease while we were away! I didnt have to worry about a thing! Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong pet lover with experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities. I’ve cared for my own pets my entire life, along with helping neighbors with dog walks, pet sitting, and daily care. I have experience caring for pets through every stage of life — from playful kittens and puppies to senior pets who need extra patience, attention, and monitoring. I’ve cared for both elderly cats and dogs with special needs, helped with vet visits, and understand the importance of noticing changes in behavior, energy, appetite, or overall health. I’m active, reliable, and love spending time outdoors, so I enjoy giving dogs fun, safe walks while providing pets with the comfort and care they deserve. I will treat your pets like my own and make sure they feel loved, safe, and cared for while you’re away I am currently a full-time Physician Assistant student. I have classes weekday mornings, but my afternoons and weekends are generally open and flexible. Most of my free time is spent studying, staying active, and being outdoors — so pet care fits naturally into my routine. I love going on walks and getting outside, and I enjoy being able to spend that time with animals while providing reliable, loving care. I live in an apartment with two roommates and a deck, with plenty of nearby outdoor space for walks and fresh air. I’m located right next to a trail and several pet-friendly areas, which makes it easy to provide pets with regular exercise and enrichment.
“Adam did an awesome job with my pups! Adam has cool vibes, communicates very well, and put my mind and heart at ease with my fur bumpkins. Even with a Reno project going on, Adam came through and assisted. Looking forward to the next time Adam gets to work with my trio!”

About: I’ve always loved being around dogs! I've spent almost 3 years at a doggy daycare, where I'm actively learning how to read dog body language, keep group and 1-on-1 time safe, and handle feeding routines. Over the years, I’ve gained experience working with a variety of personalities including dogs who are reactive or display aggressive behavior. I also have my own reactive dog so I understand firsthand how important it is to be patient, attentive, and consistent. Taking care of animals is something I truly enjoy, and I always do my best to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I’m currently working part-time, but I’m free most Mondays and Wednesdays from the morning through late afternoon. Fridays are usually open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., since I work at 2 p.m. Feel free to ask about other days too, and I can let you know what works for me 😊 I unfortunately can't provide space for your beloved pet as I have a reactive dog and cat. However, I believe that I'm able to make your pet feel comfortable in its own home even if you're gone. I can be playful but also relaxed. I will be able to give your pet plenty of attention when they want it!
“Kristina is great with my fur babies. They have really warmed up to her and love her visits. My bunch is usually skittish and hide, so it’s a great sign that they come out to play with her!!”

“Annie took great care of our cat! We booked her last minute, only a couple days before our trip. She was very responsive and even took the time to visit to see where everything is/pick up the key before we left. We were very pleasantly surprised our cat was interacting with her during her visits. He often hides under the bed with new people. Highly recommend.”

“Amanda did a great job while I was out of town for a week. She kept me updated and sent me cute pictures. My senior kitty requires lots of care so it was great to know they were in good hands. Thanks again!”

About: I currently specialize in dogs and cats that take a little longer to warm up to new people and pets that need someone with a high attention to detail! Throughout my life I have had 2 rottweilers and a Havanese with my family. I personally owned a black lab who lived to be 16 and now currently own a French Bulldog who is 6. I have watched many friend's and family's pitbulls, lab mixes, golden retrievers and doodle mixes. I have been around dogs my entire life and frequented social settings/dog parks with my dogs so I can easily recognize anxious/stressed behavior in dogs. I would love to walk or watch your puppy and treat them like my own! I currently work summer hours meaning my time is flexible. I typically work about 5 hours a day but I can leave and go back if needed. I currently do not work weekends. I will treat your pet like my own. My dog, Archer, is my baby. He is allowed on all furniture and we enjoy sitting on the porch and people watching. My dog has allergies and a sensitive stomach so I am used to watching what dogs eat/do around the house. I highly detailed oriented so feel free to leave detailed instructions and I will follow them to a T!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Broad Ripple
Emily was great! She was very friendly throughout & very accommodating, both with timing a FaceTime to talk to me & my fiancée & be shown our house & with the actual sitting itself. She took great care of our little girl, Pumpkin. We got pictures & were reassured that she was doing alright. Pumpkin’s shy & she doesn’t always come out of hiding, so it was important for us to know if she did during a visit & that she was eating enough.

We were so pleased Laura was available while we were on vacation. This time we were gone longer than last time and the peace of mind that Sir Purrsalot, who is afraid of everything, already knew her from October and that Smudge, who is not afraid of anything and potentially destructive if left to his own devices being quite the kitten energy still and all. She provided daily updates with each visit and made sure they had everything they needed. Laura will continue to be our first choice and the boys also give 5 stars in appreciation of daily pets and Churu!

Kaarin was attentive and kind to our cats! I was very nervous using Rover for the first time while being away in another state, but working with Karin definitely relieved that hesitation for us. Im sure my cat looks forward to getting more treats and brushes in the future from her!!!

Bradley was wonderful with my cats and I plan to use them in the future with my dog. He was always on time and sent update photos and comments to make me feel at ease. He was tech savvy enough to understand the cat's automatic feeder and troubleshoot if necessary. He's friendly, punctual and reliable. I could not recommend him more and will be telling my friends and neighbors about him.
We have a geriatric cat so I am always nervous leaving her but I feel better knowing Jena will be checking on her while I'm away. This is the second time we have had Jena petsit our cats (1 geriatric, 1 crazy kitten) and I intend on requesting her services next vacation.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Broad Ripple. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
