“Alex has been doing drop in visits during the work day for our 2 pups for a few weeks now and he’s been wonderful!! Our 2 are polar opposite ends of the spectrum of personality/energy levels and he’s so great/patient with them both.”

About: My family and I have owned dogs since before I can remember, and I have helped take care of them, as well as petsit for others, since I was old enough to do so on my own. I am a generally calm and affectionate person around dogs, which makes me a good fit for more anxious/nervous dogs. I currently work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, which leaves weekends and Monday/Friday open for me to house/petsit! On Mondays I am free in the mornings and after 5pm, and on Fridays + weekends I am completely free. As I have my own anxious dog at home who really prefers to be a single dog, I am more comfortable housesitting than boarding. I am adaptable to most dog schedules, and am used to both high energy and low energy dogs.

“I had a great experience! She took excellent care of my senior German Shepherd, Millie, who has Cushing's disease and needs a little extra patience and attention. She was reliable, communicative, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about Millie and treated her with kindness. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and compassionate pet sitter.”

“Ross was fantastic. My Cru can be a handful at times and he really showed up for me when she was not exhibiting her best behavior. He handled the situation professionally, calmly, very effectively and I am very grateful for his time spent with my two dogs. I could not have asked for more. I would definitely rebook him but that’s assuming he would even accept us again given her little spectacle she caused.”

About: I officially started dog sitting four years ago, taking care of dogs that have personalities that range from requiring very active playtime to cuddle bugs that would rather lounge and receive attention. I currently have a flexible schedule, which means I can adapt my schedule to your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs regular walks, playtime, companionship, or simply someone to check in on them throughout the day, I’m happy to work around their routine and make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. At client’s homes, safety is a top priority, when first meeting I request any emergency information for both the pet and the home. The more prepared I am the more at ease the client can be.
“She was absolutely great and sweet with our cat ❤️ she took care of all of his extra stuff like timed feeder, catio access etc. I'm glad our cat had such great company while we were away.”

“Janna did great checking in on my three cats for a long weekend! She was very thorough about understanding and implementing care instructions, provided good communication and pictures, and was able to carefully accommodate one of my cats that is very fearful of strangers. I hope to be able to rebook with her in the future!”

“Leta was wonderful. She was punctual, respectful, and also was very detailed when it came to providing updates which was much appreciated. I would definitely book her again.”

“Tawsha was wonderful! She provides detailed messages and was super great and loving with my boys. You can be sure your pets are in good hands with Tawsha- which makes being away from them so much less stressful!”

About: Ive had animals my entire life, from small rodents to Great Danes. They all just need a little trust building and play time. Happy to provide any level of care needed. I currently work in the school system, so I dont have availability during the work day, but I am completely availability week-nights, weekends, and school breaks! I am willing to adjust activity levels to fit your animal's needs, how often they need play time, walks, downtime, or potty times. And Im willing to adhere to any rules of the household, if housesitting.
“Jena was amazing! She was able to do a meet and greet on short notice which was super helpful. She sent me tons of pictures while I was away, and my cat Wally was snuggling with her in most of them which made me so happy to see!! Would definitely recommend her for all your pet sitting needs!!”

About: I have been a longtime dog owner and have loved every minute of it! I have plenty of experience with senior dogs especially, and I am willing to give them all the extra care and patience they may need! My two sweeties, Molly and Maggie, lived to 17/18. They were the best companions I could have ever asked for! I just moved to Indianapolis in the beginning of August and am looking for work in the area. Right now, my schedule is fully open. I will be available for walks, drop in visits, and I am open to overnight stays as well. Every animal is different, and I will tweak my care for them depending on their needs whether that be going on walks, play time, medication, or feeding. I will maintain consistent communication with updates if/when needed.
About: Cats and dogs seek me out for cuddles and play time. I've watched pitties, boxer mixes, any type of cat. I'm great with lap kitties, who just want to be cozy. My Bram loves to watch action movies or LOTR with me. I'm usually working on a farm and occasionally deliverling food or flowers to businesses. It is easy to fit in stops to check on pets. I won't rush them when we meet. I'm patient. Every pet has their own routine or vibe and deserve my respect in their home. Saftey first, for everyone.
“Maja was AMAZING! I had a prolonged power outage while away and she not only stopped in additional times to make sure my cat was ok/not too hot/auto-feeder was working, she also offered to clean out my fridge so it wouldn’t be full if spoiled food when I returned. She definitely went above and beyond!”

About: I've been caring for dogs and cats since I was a kid, and animals have always had a special place in my heart. I have a gift for connecting with pets I'm meeting for the first time — even the shy or standoffish ones tend to warm up to me quickly. I raised my own dog for 13 years, guiding him through anxiety issues from puppyhood all the way into adulthood, so I understand firsthand how much patience and consistency can matter. I know how important feeding schedules and medication routines are, and I make sure they're followed carefully and on time, every time. Through pet sitting apps, I've cared for a wide variety of dogs with all kinds of personalities and needs — nothing has been too much to handle. I lead with patience, adaptability, and a genuine love for animals. A quick note on availability: between my work schedule and time with my daughter, I'm away from home between 9am and 6pm daily. I'm a great fit for pets who are comfortable being on their own during that window, and I'll make sure they're well cared for and comfortable before and after. I'm also proud to be LGBTQ+ friendly and welcome clients from all walks of life. Building trust is everything to me — I want you to feel confident that your pet (and your home, if I'm house sitting) is in caring, capable hands. I am generally open to anything my time slots provide. Overnights should not be an issue but will need to be talked about prior to booking. I do NOT have have a place to house dogs so currently I am only a house sitter. Please let me know if you have any questions! I used to care for 2 dogs and a cat while i was with my wife but now i just have the cat. The cat is very much self sufficient, although she does revel in all the pets that we have to offer, but the dogs take more work! I love to take dogs on walks in the various parks around where i am living and will do the same for yours! If you have favorite spot let me know about it!! I can incorporate a walk there for your pups if you would like!
“Lily was fantastic. She was responsive to our messages and our cats, who are usually standoffish, loved her. We felt safe that our cats were being cared for by someone who knew what they were doing and loves cats too. We will definitely be a returning customer.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Warren Park
Janna was wonderful with our two kittens! Her updates after each visit were detailed and reassuring, and I loved that she spent time playing with and cuddling them in addition to taking care of their food and litter. Janna even noticed when one kitten was missing and searched the house until she found her accidentally shut in a bedroom. I felt completely at ease knowing they were being well cared for while we were away. I would absolutely book with her again!

Ashley always does an amazing job with our animals! This time, one of our cats became very stressed out about us being gone. Ashley was very communicative and accommodating, making sure we understood what was going on and working with us to make sure our cat got what she needed.

Amber has been watching my cat for me for the last five years. My cat is older girl she’s 14 now and Amber is amazing. She’s perfect. She takes really good care of my older cat and I would not have anybody else. Take care of my cat besides Amber when I’m on vacation.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
