“Oh my goodness Laura is the absolute best! She had a meet and greet with my cat, Willy Wonka, who takes a little to warm up to people and by the end of the meet and greet he was rubbing his face against her legs. Laura was super attentive and made sure to ask questions to ensure she was providing Willy with the best care. She texted me after every visit with an update and pictures. As someone who has a ton of anxiety about leaving my cat, I can’t thank Laura enough. She is amazing and I’ll be booking her again.”

“Fabulous! So kind and flexible in picking up the keys. Was very loving to my Daisy girl and gave her lots of love! I loved the report cards with lots of photos!”

“Haley has been an exceptional pet sitter for both of my pugs. Stewie is younger, wild and anxious, but sweet and loves to play. She shows him plenty of attention and takes the time to play with him. Lily is older, blind and has other medical issues and she always shows such gentle care. Recently, she got sick and Haley called me to alert me and even contacted the vet to pre-arrange an appointment. Haley also takes several photos, is flexible and gives very detailed notes. You never have to worry about your fur babies because they are in good hands. Definitely 6 star service!!”

About: I officially started dog sitting four years ago, taking care of dogs that have personalities that range from requiring very active playtime to cuddle bugs that would rather lounge and receive attention. I currently have a flexible schedule, which means I can adapt my schedule to your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs regular walks, playtime, companionship, or simply someone to check in on them throughout the day, I’m happy to work around their routine and make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. At client’s homes, safety is a top priority, when first meeting I request any emergency information for both the pet and the home. The more prepared I am the more at ease the client can be.
“Erin is always always so reliable and quick to respond when we reach out to her! Our pup is always excited to get a visit from her and we never have to worry when she’s watching him!”

“Ellen was communicative and took wonderful care of our dog and 2 cats while we were away for 9 days over the holidays. She was available on short notice and her prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend her!”

“Kaarin was attentive and kind to our cats! I was very nervous using Rover for the first time while being away in another state, but working with Karin definitely relieved that hesitation for us. Im sure my cat looks forward to getting more treats and brushes in the future from her!!!”

About: I have ample experience watching my friend's energetic dog. At first he was shy around me, but I was able to gain his trust and now we're buddies! :) I am doing only gig work at the moment while I am learning languages and upskilling. My schedule is very flexible and that allows me to adapt to your pet's specific needs. I pay close attention to promptings from the pet of needing additional attention and care. I also pay attention for feedback on the pet's feelings about their food.
“Zoe is amazing! She sent thoughtful updates, wrote in detail about each visit and took tons of photos. She made me feel at ease knowing she was taking care of my cat :D Thanks, Zoe!!”

“Adam did an awesome job with my pups! Adam has cool vibes, communicates very well, and put my mind and heart at ease with my fur bumpkins. Even with a Reno project going on, Adam came through and assisted. Looking forward to the next time Adam gets to work with my trio!”

“Madison is the dog sitter of your dreams. She’s responsive, punctual, gentle, attentive, responsible, she’s everything you hope for when looking for care for your pet.”

“Ali and Gregory were fantastic with my two boy cats while I was away on vacation. Great communication, photos, and I trusted the cats were in great hands the entire visit!”

About: I’ve taken care of family, friend’s, and neighbor’s dogs of all shapes and sizes! I absolutely love animals, and I’m willing to do whatever your furry friend needs. We have always had pets in our house, including one that needed long term care. If administering medication is what your pet needs, I’m more than familiar with it! I especially love big dogs, but like I said before…I love ALL animals, so please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! I’m available periodically during the weekdays and weekends. I’m a freshman at Butler, and I have class Monday-Thursday. I’ll be able to come before, between, and after classes! I am able to do whatever your dog needs as long as it’s at your own home. I do live in the dorms at Butler, so it definitely would not be smart to bring them here :) However, walking, feeding, light grooming, and cuddling are all services that I offer!
“Lauren was wonderful with Estella -- kept me updated throughout the visit, including a thoughtful note when Estella (true to form) bit her lip while eating. I could tell from every message how much love and attention she gave her -- really put me at ease while I was away. Communication was great and Estella clearly felt comfortable and right at home. I’d absolutely trust Lauren to care for her again!”

“This is my first time using Rover and I couldn’t be more pleased. Mary(Elle) met with my husband and I ahead of her visit which put me at ease having a stranger in my home. Elle was very responsible and did a wonderful job taking care of my Manny during her drop in visits. She also cleaned up any messes on his puppy pads and walked him during her visits. I appreciated the text updates on how he did during the day as well as pictures she sent of him. I look forward to having Elle watch my Manny in the future and would recommend her services!😊”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rocky Ripple. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
