About: Hi! My name is Lynette, and I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and making sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for while their owners are away. One thing that makes me a great dog walker is that I love being active. I have a daily step goal that I work toward, so long walks are something I truly enjoy not something I rush through. Taking dogs on walks makes reaching that goal even more enjoyable, and I love giving them the exercise, attention, and outdoor time they deserve. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities and am always willing to adapt to their individual needs. Whether your dog enjoys a leisurely stroll, an energetic walk, or extra playtime, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention and care. I would love the opportunity to spend time with your furry friend and make their walks the highlight of their day! I start every morning with a walk, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I enjoy staying active and have a daily step goal, which means I genuinely look forward to spending time walking and caring for dogs. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I can dedicate time throughout the week to ensure pets get the exercise, attention, and care they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully, maintain their normal routine, and make sure they have plenty of attention, exercise, water, and care. I am attentive on walks, keep dogs securely leashed, and always prioritize their well-being. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to create a positive, stress-free experience for both pets and owners.
“We couldn’t be happier with the care our dog received! From the very beginning, communication was excellent, and it was clear that our dog was in loving, capable hands. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was at home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s obvious that she genuinely loves animals and treats them like family. We truly appreciate her kindness, reliability, and attention to detail. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and we would absolutely book with her again. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our family member!”

About: Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always prefer preferred animals over humans! I’ve had cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, and I’ve never met a species of pet I don’t like! I’ve cleaned litterboxes, taken care of sick cats and dogs, walked and bathed dogs, and am constantly doing research to know more about our four legged family members! I currently work for myself and make my own hours, so I’m very flexible during the week! I have four cats of my own and one beloved nephew-puppy I often help care for. I’ve taken care of pets my whole life! I can provide a clean and safe environment for animals such as puppy proofing, litterbox cleaning, dish cleaning, and accident clean ups while also providing other services to keep your four legged friends happy and healthy such as walks, play time, and whatever you feel your pet may need.

“Cara is very personable and professional. She has already made our lives so much easier by being someone we can count on to take care of our dogs! She takes great pictures of them too.”

About: Lifelong dog owner and lover. Senior pet specialist (thanks to our 14 year-old Golden, Rosie). Cat whisperer (our velcro kitty Neptune would agree). And come August, officially an empty nester with way too much love to give. I handle meds, brushing, playtime, and litter boxes. Your pet is in great hands. I currently work from home, so can be flexible. If you're close enough I can pop in every few hours if needed. I can stay over if your pets need overnight care. I have a senior dog and a cat and since they're the actual owners of the space, I'll only be at your home. Whatever makes them comfortable, happy and safe while they're missing you, I can acommodate.
“Danielle comes twice a week and two times each of those days to take our dogs out. She is conscientious about documenting their time together and making sure they get exercise. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a child. I love dogs and cats alike. I don’t prefer one to the other and have two cats and a dog of my own. I’m just patient with animals and experienced in following the directions of parents. I like your animals to feel their routine is the same as when their owner is home. I am currently working part time from home, so I have a lot of flexibility with my days to come and take care of animals. We have had dogs stay in our home with us. Our animals are extremely accepting of other dogs and we love to host them. I also have no problem providing care in the owners home. I’m here to meet your preference.
“Kathy was dependable and provided comments with pictures of each day's activity while we were away. She also took the time to have a meet and greet in advance of our scheduled pet sitting. We recommend her!”

“We love Susan! Not only is she great with our senior cat and turtle, but her communication is great! We love the pictures she sends and her updates are wonderful. We love knowing that our animals are in loving care while we are out of town. Her knowledge and experience as a Vet Tech are extremely comforting, too. You're the best, Susan <3”
“Tyler was very attentive when caring for our dog. We usually hesitant when leaving our dog with someone but Tyler was able to meet us prior to our first appointment and eased our concerns. We know things went well during his visit because his report card showed our dog brought out his toys - that’s a big win in our house! Thank you, Tyler! We will be booking you again soon!”

“Beverly was great with my dog. She was available on pretty short notice to come over for a meet and greet and do one daily visit with our pup while my husband and I visited family out of town. She was consistently prompt in our correspondence and made the entire experience easy and comfortable for both me and my pup. Would definitely recommend her to anyone! ”

“Nakia did a great job with Sophie. She was on time, text me with the status of how Sophie was doing during her visits, and provided pictures of their little walks. Soph seemed like she had been well cared for during our time away. I will contact Nakia for future Rover needs!! Highly recommend.”
About: I have been the biggest animal lover since I was 3 years old and begged my parents for a cat. And when a cat wasn’t enough, I begged for a dog, and two years later starting competitively riding horses until I went to college. Animals have been a huge part of my life since before I can even remember. I used to pet sit for about 5 years before starting college and now that I have my own place I finally can again! I love pets and every pet I care for as my very own. I work 9-5 from home, so I can walk/play/anything before and after work, and since I work from home I am able to take the pet outside if needed and have breaks with the pet! I have no pets of my own (all pets shown in photos are from fostering or are my family's pets) I treat all pets as my own. I want each pet to feel at ease in their home while you are away, and make it a fun part of their day when I stop by

About: I love spending time with animals! I grew up with dogs and have two cats of my own. I work remote full time so I can get away whenever. I work full time remotely so I can get away pretty easily during the weekdays (especially in Carmel) I can always work around weekend availability as well! I have drop in visits for cats and dogs before for friends and family. I can accommodate whatever is needed for safety and comfort in your home!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Carmel
Lexus was professional and reliable. She provided detailed updates each visit, and my characteristically aloof rabbit was completely comfortable around her. When I needed a last minute booking modification, she was quick to respond and helped me out greatly. I could tell how experienced she was even from our initial meeting. I will definitely be keeping her in mind for future pet-sitting needs.

Nakia did drop in visits for our cat, Socks. She had great communication from start to finish. We appreciated that most of all. Nakia took great care of our cat while we were gone. The updates were helpful in letting us know we left our pet in good hands. Because of her great ability to communicate and her responsible care of our pet, Nakia is at the top of our list next time we need a pet sitter! I would highly recommend her services!

Josie did a fantastic job watching our cat for a week! He unexpectedly had an ear infection right before we were gone and helped administer his ear medicine. We also got some furniture delivered in the rain and she was nice enough to bring it inside. 100% recommend!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Carmel. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
