About: After being laid off from my tech sales job, I picked up dog sitting and quickly realized I never wanted to stop! Since my travel schedule prevents me from having a pup of my own right now, watching your dogs is the absolute best way for me to get my daily fix. While living in Austin, I regularly provided walking, drop-in visits, and overnight boarding for my neighbors. I am super responsive on my phone, so feel free to message me anytime with questions or to set up a meet-and-greet! I work from home in Carmel, IN. I’m in sales so my schedule is pretty flexible. My company loves dogs so I definitely have time to go for walks during the day! I am open to boarding dogs as well as doing visits in your home! I love going for walks as well as dog cuddles. Message me with any questions!
About: I have over 20 years of animal care experience. I have owned, dogs, cats and horses! I love making animals happy and making sure their “fur-parents” feel satisfied with their care. For walks and check-ins I would be mostly available any day of the week due to my flexible schedule. For pet sitting I’m also available any day! I would be available to take your dogs to any park in the area. I am a very active person and love being outside playing with pups!
“Kristen has walked our dog on multiple occasions and is very responsive, on-time and communicates well with us! She goes the extra step and makes sure our pup has water when they get back from their walk before she leaves which we really appreciate. Will definitely continue to reach out to her in the future!”
“Kendra took wonderful care of Cardi, kept me updated, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. Cardi was happy and well cared for, and I would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with and around dogs, so I'm really comfortable around them no matter their age or personality. I've also dog/house sat for family friends numerous times (sometimes for two weeks or more), so I'm experienced with keeping feeding schedules, medications, and routines consistent while owners are away. I'm also active and love going on walks, so if yours needs extra exercise, that's something I genuinely enjoy providing! I recently finished OT school, so I'm in between that and starting my next job, which means my schedule is wide open right now. I can offer flexible timing throughout the day and give your pet plenty of consistent, unhurried attention. Handing over your house key and your pet isn't a small thing, so I try to be someone you don't have to worry about while you're gone. That means being consistent, sending updates, paying attention to your pet's needs, and treating your home with the same care I'd want for my own!
“Awesome! Would give 10 stars if possible. Stefanie came in clutch when I didn't have a walker. She sent me pictures of my happy pooch while I was working. Very easy to work with! Highly recommended!”

About: Hey there! My name is Olivia, and I’m here for you! I run my own health coaching business, so I set my own schedule! I am extremely flexible and happy to make time to care for your furry loved ones!! I grew up with two dog so pets have always been a big part of my life. Very ready and eager to help take care of yours. :) Please let me know any questions or concerns you have! I currently set my own schedule with the coaching that I do, so taking care of your dog can fit into my schedule wherever you need it! I care for pets in your home or mine, whichever they are more comfortable. If you need me to let them out, walk, or stay with them… Just let me know!
About: I have been the biggest animal lover since I was 3 years old and begged my parents for a cat. And when a cat wasn’t enough, I begged for a dog, and two years later starting competitively riding horses until I went to college. Animals have been a huge part of my life since before I can even remember. I used to pet sit for about 5 years before starting college and now that I have my own place I finally can again! I love pets and every pet I care for as my very own. I work 9-5 from home, so I can walk/play/anything before and after work, and since I work from home I am able to take the pet outside if needed and have breaks with the pet! I have no pets of my own (all pets shown in photos are from fostering or are my family's pets) I treat all pets as my own. I want each pet to feel at ease in their home while you are away, and make it a fun part of their day when I stop by

About: I have been pet-sitting for friends and family for 10 years. So, I know it takes a lot of love and responsibility to care for your pet(s). My part-time schedule allows me to offer flexible availability and dedicated time to hang out with your pets. This flexibility allows me to fit with your schedule as well. I care for pets the same way I’d want mine cared for. Through consistent routines, plenty of attention, and close attention to their individual needs (feeding schedules, medications, favorite toys, etc.), I keep their space safe and comfortable.

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats for most of my life, and truly got to experience full ownership in my early twenties. I have learned so much about and from these loving furry friends from raising 3 litters of puppies to training and loving my own pups to caring for my friends’ fur babies. I have experience with elderly furry pups, along with administering medication both in pill form and topicals. For the past 15+ years, I’ve been the proud dog mom to my red Min Pin. I also had the pleasure of raising my cat from a kitten during Covid until he proudly became my parent’s ES animal. I taken a great deal of care with my dog’s diet, health, and well being as his aged into an elderly yet spry dog. He’s had an injury to his heel prior to us meeting, but I was able to care for him and understand what the best plan would be to ensure he lives a normal, crazy, uninterrupted, fun, full Min Pin life. I want to be able to provide the same love, care, and understanding for your fur baby. They are what keeps us happy and loved humans :) I, primarily, prefer to care for smaller animals, since I’ve been a dog mom to Corgi mixes and Min Pin breeds. I currently have an open schedule which will give me ample time to care for, play, and provide companionships and care to your fur baby while you’re away. I have a comfortable and pet friendly environment where it’s a quiet, peaceful, and easy walk. I have a deck for pups who enjoy some sun and fresh air and a cat tree to entertain any possible kitty cat visitors.

“Beverly was amazing. Our dogs absolutely loved her and the walks have made such a difference with their behavior. We would definitely have her back. She's very professional and reliable. ”
About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 8! Even at home we had all types of animals such as ferrets, bunnies, exotic birds, lizards, fish, dogs and cats. I am a great at teaching dogs tricks. I am a runner and love to hike at local parks so I’d love to take your dog with me. I have such a sense of calm and happiness around animals and have never met one that didn’t like me. I am available for boarding anytime. I work a flexible schedule and am able to come and go if necessary. We have a doggy door so that they can go to the loo frequently. We have a privacy fenced in yard and am always up for a walk or run. I have a long leash/tie out, that reaches all around our front yard if they’d like to stay outside and play on their own. I have a Lab Mix that is great with other dogs and loves to play.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Carmel
Todd is AMAZING! He took the time to come meet Kody before he walked him the first time. He listened and really has a peacefulness about him. Our dog is dog reactive, and I really felt comfortable with Todd walking him. First time we have ever had a dog walker through Rover. I highly recommend Todd! He had such a great interaction with our Kody! Kody loved him! We will use Todd again! 🤩😊

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
