I’ve been around animals my entire life and have plenty of hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs of different ages, sizes, personalities, and needs. Growing up, my family had a Black Lab and a Maltese, so I became comfortable caring for dogs ranging from small breeds to larger, energetic dogs from a young age. I currently have two cats of my own—Smalls, my 3-month-old short-haired black kitten, and Boomer, my 6-year-old big, fluffy long-haired cat. I also have a 7-year-old Alaskan Malamute, so I’m very comfortable around large breeds. He had ACL surgery within the past year, which also gave me experience caring for a dog who needed extra attention and patience during recovery. In addition to my own pets, I frequently pet sit for friends, family, and family friends. I’ve done both in-home/overnight pet sitting and drop-in visits and am comfortable with feeding, fresh water, litter boxes, walks, playtime, and lots of attention. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’m happy to adjust to what makes them most comfortable—whether that means lots of play and attention or simply giving them some space and keeping their normal routine while their owner is away.
