I dog sit full time during the summers. I am a student at IUPUI right now but I commute so I will be here year round. I will of course make the owners always aware of my schedule that semester. Anything I have to do I will schedule around visits and I will stop by immediately after getting back.

The care I give to your pets is based off of the care you want me to give. I will always communicate and make sure I know the dogs routines, temperament, personality, etc. I want to know as much as possible about your dog so I can make sure your dog is completely comfortable. Of course his basic needs will be met, such as food, clean water, excersize, meds if needed and any other basic needs you have for your pet. Then after hearing about your pet and his routines and everything I'll do whatever I can to make sure they're as comfortable as possible. Your pet will get as much affection as they're comfortable with so if they love affection they will get lot of it. All of this applies to any cats I would pet sit as well.

I need to understand your dogs temperament, whether the dog is reactive, scared of certain things, has bitten before or growled for some reason. For example, some dogs don’t like anyone going near them while sleeping or with some dogs if it gets ahold of something you cannot take it because they may bite. I need to know if they have any allergies to treats or if they can have treats. I love to have as much information on your dog as possible. I like to know what words your dog is used to, if he prefers to be in bothered when laying down, where his favorite scratch spots are or spots you shouldn't touch, etc. It might seem like a lot of information but it is important in order to make your pet, whether it's a dog or a cat, as comfortable as possible, and to keep myself and your pets safe.
A typical day
I personally love to walk my dog at parks and can do the same with your dog If you're comfortable with it. I will always talk to the owners to see what their dog enjoys most and what he usually gets and go from there. However much play time or walks the dog needs he will get.

Pet care experience
I've had an interest in taking care of and understanding animals, mainly dogs, my whole life. I've read books and done hours of research to understand certain animals to be able to give them the best care possible. I've helped, groom and walk, walk, and care for others dogs. I have pet sat for family, friends, neighbors and others who are in need of a pet sitter. I've dealt with many different breeds and different temperaments and ages of dogs. I've helped people work on training with younger dogs and even some older dogs. I can give medication as well, although I have never given an injection I would still be happy to learn to. I enjoy being around animals and I want to take the best care of them as possible. I go above and beyond just meeting their basic needs, I want your pets to have fun.
