I currently work from home for up to 8 hours a day with an extremely flexible schedule. I’m a great sitter for cats that need a lot of attention because I can truly be there all day long. Since my jobs is sedentary, I'm a great companion for cats that want to cuddle all day. During wedding season (May-Oct), I have less flexibility on Saturdays because I'm at a wedding for the bulk of the day, but I can always return to your home to spend the night with your cat(s).

My lovely senior cat, Katniss, gets all of my love and affection at home. She is spoiled beyond belief, and her senior needs mean I have experience with administering special diets and keeping a home in immaculate shape and accommodating to her aging body. I do a lot of editing photos and reading on the couch, so I make a perfect cuddle buddy for cats that need a lot of attention.

I have experience with special and exotic breeds (Bengal, Devon Rex, Sphynx, and Ragdoll), as well as experience with diabetes injections, specialized diets, and high-energy cats. I'm able and willing to give baths and clean the ears of hairless cats as part of their regular care. Please give me a heads up if you need special care for your pets!
A typical day
I love introducing cats to puzzle toys and activities to help with their prey instincts and keep their playtime diverse! I'm happy to sit with cats for extended playtime. I also love to provide lots of pets and cuddles while I wfh and in the evening hours.

Cat care experience
I’ve taken care of cats and had my own for over half my life, and based on the number of cat-related memes people send me, I can probably be classified as a crazy cat lady. I have experience with everything from domestic short and long hair cats, to special need breeds like Ragdoll and hairless Sphinx/Devon Rexes, to large and active breeds like Bengals and Maine Coons. Special skills include: giving medication to cats via shots or orally, cleaning the ears of naked kitties, getting timid cats out of hiding and onto my lap, and taking amazing photos for you to enjoy while you're gone (my day job is wedding photographer!)

And the best part: Amanda is a professional photographer who will be able to capture the most beautiful photo check-ins of your furry friend while you’re away.
Amanda is very good with our dogs! We have four border collies and one of them is very antisocial and afraid of everyone, she will bark and coward away from everybody. Amanda was the first and only person she has not been afraid of! She actively cuddles with Amanda and spends time with her every time she is around. Our family has trusted Amanda to take care of our animals on multiple occasions. I highly recommend her.
