“Jan was very kind and helpful during the whole booking process and took such good care of Nico. She was very patient with him as well. Would definitely recommend and book with her again!”

“Katarina was a great sitter! She had the dubious task of checking in on my fuzzies over the dreaded 4th of July holiday with all the fireworks. I have an old cat that needs medication and some extra cleanup care, a nervous young dog that needed a gentler approach to settle in and she did great with both. No one escaped the yard or the house and everyone was alive and happy when I got back. I got multiple photos while I was away (which my kiddo loved) along with a message about how they were doing. Katarina even brought in the packages that got dropped off in my absence! I love that my pets loved her so much and as quickly as they took a liking to her tells me she’s great at her job! I would 100% book her again if needed!”
“Lauren did drop in visits every other day for my unruly cats. She did a great job cleaning up after them and visiting with them - when they came out of hiding. She also tried to help prevent further damage when they were scratching the carpet.”

“We’ve asked Andrea twice now to take care of our cat when we’re away, knowing our fur baby is in good hands. She’s wonderful about communicating and sending pics and we have no worries about her care. Thank you again, Andrea!”

About: With 3 years of dog care experience, including time as a vet tech, I’m confident handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. from playful puppies to sweet seniors. I’m comfortable giving medications, understanding behavior, and making sure each dog feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Walks, playtime, and belly rubs included! I really miss having fur babies around, so caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine and is something I genuinely look forward to! I care for pets as if they were my own, whether in my home or my clients’. I use to have two dogs of my own, so I understand the importance of routine, comfort, and affection. “We have booked Danielle to care for our kitties twice now. She is great - consistent communication and always sends us cute pics so we can see how they’re doing! About: Since I was 14, I’ve been responsible for taking care of my own dogs and those of my neighbors, family, and friends. I come from a large dog family, from a Great Pyrenees to Labs and German Shepherds, but I’ve also been able to care for smaller dogs in my neighborhood. I’ve also cared for sensitive and reactive dogs who came from hard backgrounds, so I have experience taking it slow to build trust. I also care for cats as well, with experience from my own 13 year old orange cat and my mom’s two crazy kittens. Whether it’s taking them on walks, playing tug of war, giving them meds, or just keeping them company, I love any time I get to spend with fur babies. I’m preparing to leave for a scholarship in Poland at the end of September after graduating with my Master’s degree in May, so my schedule is incredibly flexible. I am free most days and times with the exception of a few days with prior commitments throughout the summer. I strive to provide the best care with the utmost respect for you and your fur baby’s home. If there’s anything I should know about your pet’s care preferences or any neighborhood/environmental concerns, please let me know so that I may keep your pet safe at all times. I have experience with fenced in yards and open areas, as well as plenty of experience with flight risk dogs (those German Shepherds love to run!) and returning them safely home. My goal is to keep your pet and place safe and clean until you return home.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Jolietville
Anna did a great job of taking care of my cat. She was on time every day and she left notes and photos to help keep me informed of how my cat was doing. She was observant of how much my cat ate and let me know in photos or notes to make sure everything was going okay. Anna was very responsive from the initial booking to answering any questions I sent her during my vacation. Anna is very responsive, kind, caring and professional. I highly recommend Anna!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jolietville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
