“Katarina was a great sitter! She had the dubious task of checking in on my fuzzies over the dreaded 4th of July holiday with all the fireworks. I have an old cat that needs medication and some extra cleanup care, a nervous young dog that needed a gentler approach to settle in and she did great with both. No one escaped the yard or the house and everyone was alive and happy when I got back. I got multiple photos while I was away (which my kiddo loved) along with a message about how they were doing. Katarina even brought in the packages that got dropped off in my absence! I love that my pets loved her so much and as quickly as they took a liking to her tells me she’s great at her job! I would 100% book her again if needed!”

“Jan was a great cat-sitter! It was our first time using any pet-sitting service so we did not know what to expect. Jan ensured that we felt confident and comfortable in the whole process by meeting our kitty well in advance and asking necessary questions. It was clear she has a passion for animals and gave our cat the love and care she needed to stay happy and healthy while we were gone. She was super accessible through the whole process as well if we had any questions. We know to come back to Rover and look for Jan if we need more cat-sitting in the future.”

“Kara was amazing with my two huskies! They seemed to really take to her, and she sent daily pictures of them along with narrative updates. I would definitely rebook with Kara again!”

“We really appreciated Katie’s responsiveness and great care she provided our pup. Highly recommend for anyone looking for piece of mind while leaving their pet in someone else’s care. Thanks Katie!”

“Katie gave us peace of mind while we were on vacation out of the country. She took great care of our kitties and had wonderful communication with daily updates and progress check ins. We will definitely be using her again for all our pet setting needs.”

About: I have had dogs of my own since I was born and pet sat since I was 15...but had experience with drop ins, housing, and walking dogs since I was 12! I love all animals, and currently have 3 dogs of my own since Small, medium, and large! I would love to love on your pets while you are away, so reach out if you need me for anything! I work as a nanny and have a very flexible schedule that allows me to take mostly all visits that are booked a week in advance, and I can work around later bookings! I have a fenced yard and 3 dogs at my house...a small, medium, and large, that LOVE to play. This is an option if you are comfortable with that or I am happy to do house visits or stay at the house!
“Danielle was so awesome with my poodle. She was very understanding of his separation anxiety (and my anxiety with leaving him). She sent lots of updates, and it was great to see how happy my pup was with her. I’m sure Truffle is excited to see her again!”

“Lauran took such good care of our kitties while we were away for the holidays. We got regular, timely updates for each visit with pictures and videos. Additionally she went above and beyond in her check-ins, making sure our very shy cats felt comfortable around her during visits. Our most skittish and shy cat was giving her head boops and cuddles by the end of her visits. We’ll definitely be requesting her help in the future.”

“Amanda was wonderful! I would definitely recommend her, she genuinely cared for our senior dog who became ill when we were gone and went above and beyond to help with cleaning and checking on her despite it being Christmas. Don’t hesitate to book with her!!”

About: Since I was 14, I’ve been responsible for taking care of my own dogs and those of my neighbors, family, and friends. I come from a large dog family, from a Great Pyrenees to Labs and German Shepherds, but I’ve also been able to care for smaller dogs in my neighborhood. I’ve also cared for sensitive and reactive dogs who came from hard backgrounds, so I have experience taking it slow to build trust. I also care for cats as well, with experience from my own 13 year old orange cat and my mom’s two crazy kittens. Whether it’s taking them on walks, playing tug of war, giving them meds, or just keeping them company, I love any time I get to spend with fur babies. I’m preparing to leave for a scholarship in Poland at the end of September after graduating with my Master’s degree in May, so my schedule is incredibly flexible. I am free most days and times with the exception of a few days with prior commitments throughout the summer. I strive to provide the best care with the utmost respect for you and your fur baby’s home. If there’s anything I should know about your pet’s care preferences or any neighborhood/environmental concerns, please let me know so that I may keep your pet safe at all times. I have experience with fenced in yards and open areas, as well as plenty of experience with flight risk dogs (those German Shepherds love to run!) and returning them safely home. My goal is to keep your pet and place safe and clean until you return home.
About: If you are looking for a loving environment for your small dog I am it. I have two very spoiled wonderful little fluffs and would be happy to help with your dog. I have also worked PT for a pet sitting company 5 years. I am a teaching assistant and I have free time in the afternoons to help with your pets. I am also available on weekends. In the summer I have open availability. I would love to meet with you to go over your needs first whether it be walking, yard play, feeding. Clean up and feedback on your pets day.
About: I grew up with animals all my life including cats, big and hyper dog, small dogs, bunnies, and even a hedgehog. I really do have a love for all animals. I also currently have 2 cats that I love very much so I understand being a pet owner and wanting someone you can trust with your pets. I’d love to meet you and your pet friend. I currently work a part-time job at a breakfast place and I babysit on Thursdays. So I have plenty of time in the any afternoons to take care of pets. I make sure to give my pets love and attention every single day. With having two cat they like to play together a lot but I do make it a point to still play with them at least once a day. I also feed my cats 4 times a day since they eat from the same bowl and I keep them on a easily schedule. I also have experience giving them medicine and caring for them though sicknesses
“Great with Coco! She was reliable, communicative, and took good care of her while I was away. Coco seemed happy and well cared for when I got back. I would definitely recommend her and would use her again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Jolietville
Anna did a great job of taking care of my cat. She was on time every day and she left notes and photos to help keep me informed of how my cat was doing. She was observant of how much my cat ate and let me know in photos or notes to make sure everything was going okay. Anna was very responsive from the initial booking to answering any questions I sent her during my vacation. Anna is very responsive, kind, caring and professional. I highly recommend Anna!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jolietville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
