“Richard was quick to set up a home visit prior to my dog's stay with him. His house is warm and inviting, and his dog Bruce made my dog Apollo feel right at home. Richard sent daily updates with pictures throughout the stay, and even sent Apollo home with a report card. Thanks again and we will definitely look to book again in the future!”

“We had such a wonderful experience Lynna. She took such great care of our Bella and treated her like her own. She kept us updated throughout the stay by sending pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was incredibly patient and caring—even hand-fed our little one when needed! Her two dogs were also so sweet and well-behaved, and they got along wonderfully. She even went the extra mile and did a little photoshoot for our pup, which was absolutely adorable! 🥰📸 We truly appreciate all the love, attention, and care she gave our dog. We would definitely recommend Lynna and would happily book with her again! ❤️🐾”

“So thankful to have found Katherine! She sent lots of updates and I was able to relax knowing Guinness was in great hands! Will definitely be booking with her again 😊”

“Can't recommend enough! My dog is a senior dog that needs some special medication and attention and Bowen has been so kind and sweet towards him and tend to his needs. ❤️”

“Jameelah was an absolute delight to work with. She very clearly loved caring for our dog, Freddie. She sent lots of adorable pictures, took him on walks, and kept in close contact. We will absolutely use her again and appreciate everything she did to watch our little guy while we were gone.”

“This is the first time leaving our dog with a sitter other than someone that we know. She always answered any of my questions immediately both before and during the stay. Benji doesn't always get along with other dogs so I was a little apprehensive. Mary put our minds at ease at the meet and greet. She introduced other dogs gradually and all went well. Mary sent us pictures and updates almost daily. I wouldn't hesitate to leave Benji with her again. Thanks, Mary for being such a loving sitter. Marianne & Phil”
“Great communication!!! Leo had a great time spending the weekend with Seygourney, Eric, and their dog James. I received lots of updates including photos and a video. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I truly believe dogs deserve to feel just as loved and comfortable while you’re away as they do at home. I’m naturally very warm, cuddly, and attentive, so I love giving pups plenty of affection, playtime, and one-on-one attention. I’ll take the time to get to know your dog’s personality and routine and make them feel like part of the family, not just a guest. And of course, I’ll keep you updated with plenty of pictures and little check-ins so you know your pup is happy and cared for! 🐾💕 As a college student, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to give your pup plenty of time and attention! I have classes Monday–Thursday, typically only one or two classes a day, so I have lots of availability throughout the day for walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of cuddles. My weekends are also generally flexible, making it easy for me to accommodate different schedules. I love having furry company during my free time, so pet sitting fits naturally into my routine! I live in a comfortable, pet-friendly apartment with a calm environment and no children or other pets, so your pup can have plenty of one-on-one attention! There are dedicated dog-friendly areas for potty breaks and playtime, plus a walking trail nearby for walks and extra exercise. I’m happy to keep your pet’s normal routine as much as possible while they’re with me and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.
“Wonderful people, they loved being there and played tons. Took wonderful care of them, we loved the photos and the updates so much! Would 100% recommend boarding with them, we will definitely book again if we come back out that way.”
“Abby took excellent care of our doodle! She is a careful, loving person and our dog could not have been happier. We would have no hesitation in asking Abby for her help again.”

“Goose absolutely loves his time with Diana and Kevin and always is sad to leave. Makes us so happy leaving him in great hands! And they are so great with sending us updates on his stay!”

About: I’m a dedicated dog mom of two and have spent almost a decade caring for dogs. I’m attentive to each pup’s unique personality and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Your dog will be cared for like my own, with consistent communication and adorable photo updates throughout their stay. If this sounds like the kind of care you want for your pup, send me a message. I’d love to connect. Note: 🐶 Dogs do NOT need to be crate-trained to stay with me! All pups are welcome, regardless of crate-training experience. Fully remote dog mom. Your fur babies will have someone to watch over them the whole time. I have a flexible schedule for potty breaks and walks throughout the day. I have two sweet Havanese boys. If your dog prefers space or isn’t comfortable around other dogs, that’s totally fine. I can keep them fully separated for the entire stay. Whatever keeps everyone relaxed and happy.
“Leokadia took very good care of my love! He instantly gravitate to the household which was a great sign from the initial meeting! They definitely have a new customer, if they are willing to accept my boy again!”

“Louie was very happy at Sharon’s and even had a play date. He got walked and Sharon went above and beyond with texts, pictures, and videos. We would definitely go back.”

“It's always nice to know that when you need to board a pet that you can be assured that your furry friend will be well taken care of. I know that you won't be disappointed if you choose to board with Marietta and Nanette. Two thumbs up!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Broad Ripple
Melissa has great communication and sends updates of your dog. My dog has slept for the last 24 hours which is a strong sign that he had endless play while there. If your dog likes water then she’s a great choice with the doggy pool. Will definitely book with Melissa again.

Kim was great and treated our Winston like one of her own. He is a bit reactive on the leash and she made sure to accommodate for that on their walks. He got plenty of exercise and love and with daily pictures and updates we always felt that Winston was safe and happy.

I can’t say enough good things about Audrey and Maye! Audrey is a true dog love lover and will care for your pup as if they are her own! Roman has stayed with Audrey and Maye multiple times and has had the best time making himself right at home. Audrey took the time to get to know any and all needs Roman might have and provides updates and photos daily. I have felt so at ease leaving Roman with Audrey and Maye when I need to be out of town! I truly couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for my fur baby!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Broad Ripple home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Broad Ripple.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Broad Ripple sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
