Ret. Groomer, fur-ever a dog lover!
I am a retired veterinary groomer with experience working with and loving all ages and sizes of dog. I have a soft spot for chihuahuas (if I’m being honest, ALL toy breeds), shih tzu, pugs, mini doodles, and bulldogs. I have experience with extreme seniors and dogs in hospice care, applying eye, ear, and oral medicines. I am happy to brush dogs and trim their nails while they are with me. I have experience training puppies to enjoy being groomed through rewards, praise, and patience. My own three dogs are two shih tzu and a Heinz 57 ranging from 9-17lbs, all of them are comfortable with and enjoy interacting with other dogs, but respect that some dogs don’t want to play. They are all neutered. I also have a sweet kitty who has her own living space where dogs cannot go in my home and prefers to hang out there when visitors are here. Petcare is my full time job, so I can enjoy my time with your baby! My home is pet friendly, all stairs are blocked by baby gates to prevent any falls. Dogs in my home are allowed on all furniture, have a nice fenced in backyard to play in, and are given potty breaks as often as needed. I am conveniently located near both the Monon and Broad Ripple Park.

This is Chris’ second time taking care of Winnie. Both stays she came back happy. Chris communicated regularly she shared photos of Winnie during her stay. He’s always responsive and and friendly. Definitely will use him again!
Our dog came home happy and tired from playing with Christopher’s dogs. He was responsive and sent pics throughout the stay, which was really nice. Definitely will book again with him!

This was a great experience for my dog Audrey. She is a bit set in her ways and takes meds for medical issues. Christopher did great caring for her. I also got daily pics and updates.
Christopher was great to work with! He was super sweet to my dog, spoke highly of him and followed all my care directions. He was highly communicative and very flexible! I appreciate his care! We have already booked our next boarding stay with him.
My baby girl enjoyed her stay with Chris! He was very responsive, and sent me photos and updates during her time there. She can back happy and healthy! Would definitely use Chris again!

Schedule
I am a stay at home dog dad who can adapt my schedule to the needs of the dogs in my care. I am able to taxi pets as needed to and from their home to mine as well.

Safety, trust & environment
I perform maintenance grooming such as brushing and nail trims/filing on my own in home grooming table with my own tools. I follow owner directions on feeding and toileting. Dogs are allowed on all furniture in my home. Any dog in my home is treated with the same love and attentiveness as my own dogs. I respect that some dogs may need one on one attention without other dogs present and I can provide that if needed.

A typical day
I love giving dogs the enrichment needed to live their best lives, and the process of finding out each individual’s preferences is a fun challenge to work through! I have a wide range of toys and enrichment puzzles to keep both their brains and bodies as healthy as possible.
