Pet care experience

Dog loving veterinary nurse!

I'm a Registered Veterinary Technician turned stay at home mom with 20+ years experience caring for dogs and other animals. I'm new to offering dog boarding on Rover, but now my kids are getting bigger and we only have one dog, so I'd love to host and love on some more! Someone is almost always home, and we're rarely all gone for more than a few hours at a time! I have experience administering all forms of medication, as well as with first aid.

Allison and her family watched my girl, Kona, for a month while I was on vacation. I am absolutely thrilled with her as a sitter. I knew Kona was cared for and loved in my absence and I never worried while halfway around the world. I will absolutely be booking with Allison again when I need the best care for Kona!

Allison and her family welcomed Neo into their house and family for a little over 2 weeks. Allison was a real treat to work with. Her children and hubby made Neo one of their family. Thank you and see ya again, I’m sure.

Allison and her family were so kind to Red! He seemed like he really enjoyed being with them and their pup. She sent regular messages and pictures to let us know how he was doing.

Sufi had a fun filled day with Allison. He very well cared for and a happy tired pup when I picked him up. She is very responsive and wonderful to interact with. Highly recommend her.

Always feel so comfortable leaving Duke with Allison and family. He came home happy and was ready for bed early!

Schedule

I'm a stay at home mom with 2 kids and one dog. Daily pet care is already a part of our routine! The kids and my husband (who works from home), are also involved, though I am the primary "pet person".

Pets

A typical day

Our mornings start early getting kids ready for school and out the door! Our dog likes to sleep in, and then enjoy some outdoor time with me after the chaos. We have a fenced in yard and we also live in a walkable neighborhood with Monon access. We are members of the Broad Ripple Dog Park and happy to take your dog there if you are also member! Mostly your dog will just be a part of our family while with us.

It is important that your dog be good with kids and other dogs, and be used to having kids toys around without eating them. Dogs that are past the puppy stage are best in our home, as our other dog mostly likes to lounge and chill! We are also not a "puppy-proofed" home! Must be fully house trained and up to date on vaccinations. I love to know what they like/dislike and their little quirks so I can help them be comfortable in our home! Please let me know if they need to be fed separately from our dog, or if they need a separate "safe" space for some alone/quiet time.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
