Pet care experience

Experienced Pet Lover

I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. Dogs have been part of my life since I was seven years old, and over the years I've rescued animals, volunteered with pet organizations, and fostered Boston Terriers and Havanese dogs rescued from puppy mills. During the past year and a half, I've cared for dogs, cats, and even chickens through TrustedHousesitters across Colorado, Montana, Wisconsin, and Indiana. I've been entrusted with everything from weekend stays to six-month house sits, and I truly enjoy getting to know each animal's unique personality, routines, and quirks. My goal is to provide pets with a calm, loving, and safe experience while their families are away. Whether we're going for walks, playing, cuddling, or simply keeping each other company, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I also love sending photos and updates so you can feel connected to your furry family members while you're away. I recently settled in Colorado and am excited to make caring for animals my primary focus. In addition to pet care, I also have extensive experience with fascia and bodywork techniques for animals, which has deepened my appreciation for supporting their comfort, mobility, and overall well-being.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in a client's home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I take time to learn each pet's feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite activities, sleeping habits, and any special instructions so they can feel safe and comfortable while you're away. I treat every home with the same care and respect I would my own and strive to leave it exactly as I found it. I pay close attention to safety during walks, outings, and playtime, and I keep pet parents updated with regular photos and messages for added peace of mind. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and sensitive, or a senior needing extra attention, I adapt my care to their individual personality and needs.

Yulia house sat for us for most of the month of November and about a week into December, 2025. We live in a remote part of Western Montana on a large, glacier fed lake. We have a dog, Ella, and a cat, Theodore, and almost no neighbors. The setting wouldn't be for everyone because of the remoteness, but Yulia loved it. She saw opportunities for exploration with Ella and a quiet commune with nature. She took excellent care of the animals, walking Ella several times a day, snuggling with both animals (who adjusted to her quiet warmth very quickly), and sent LOTS of pictures of her and Ella exploring. She also took excellent care of the house, tending to it and my houseplants as though they were her own. One of the most interesting aspects of her stay at our home, though, was her nearly daily foray into the lake for a very chilly immersion - a spiritual renewal for her. (Did I mention that the lake is glacier fed and that this was November and December?) Yulia very quickly melted into the rhythms and routines of the house, which is so necessary for a successful house sit. She had no demands of us, and was just happy to provide companionship and care for Ella and Theo. She gets 5+ stars from us, and we would have her back in an instant.

Yulia has been watching out home and pets on and off for about 6 months now and has been amazing with the dogs and our chickens as well. Our dogs go wild when she arrives and are always happy and healthy when we arrive back home. She is such a joy to have around and her love for animals is so abundant and clear. We will always have her back to care for our crew! She is a great communicator, sends lovely pictures and is very proactive in her communications.

I recommend Yulia as a dog caregiver. She is caring, reliable, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. My dogs felt comfortable with her right away, and she handled them with calm, attentive care. One of my dogs required medication and IV treatment (dialysis-related care), and Yulia managed this very responsibly and carefully. I always felt confident that she followed instructions correctly and that my dog was safe in her care. She also enjoys being active with dogs taking them on walks, to parks, and on hikes, which my dogs truly benefited from and enjoyed.

Yulia cared for our dog Oliver for six weeks while we traveled. I can’t imagine finding a better person to care for our pet. Due to being a little anxious about our leaving, he was a little withdrawn and reluctant in the beginning, but Yulia was patient and kind and quickly won him over and they became the best of friends. Yulia has a kind and caring nature and is amazing with animals. I highly recommend her for any pet sitting needs.

Yulia is an exceptional pet-care giver! She is so caring and supportive and absolutely loves animals! She gave so much care to Tiny the way until her last day! She always played with her, walked her and just treated her like a little dog “daughter”. I can’t imagine a better pet sitter than her! She has also cared for so many animals over the years and is truly a “Dog Whisperer”. She listens really well and is super intuitive about what they need. I’ve watched her care for many pets over the years, tiny, Lila, Griphen & Murphy, Luci, Maggie, Boggie, Quirk, Max & Jax, Waldo & Whistle, the list goes on and on! Trust this woman she will take immaculate care of your fur-babies!

Schedule

Pet care is currently one of my main priorities and something I truly enjoy. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to plan my days around the needs of the pets in my care. Whether that means morning walks, playtime, feeding routines, administering medications, or simply providing companionship, I enjoy being present and attentive throughout the day. I work independently and spend a lot of time outdoors, so I especially enjoy incorporating walks, hikes, and quality one-on-one time with dogs into my daily routine. I also appreciate the quieter companionship of cats and enjoy creating a calm, comfortable environment where they can feel safe and cared for while their families are away.
