“Kyla took such great care of our dog while we were away! Our dog wasn't feeling very good so Kyla stayed home with her the entire time, administered her medication, and communicated with me often. It really gave me peace of mind while on my trip.”

“Oli was a wonderful sitter! Oli was super attentive to my baby girl who can be very stubborn at times. Oli did a great job keeping me informed of how things were going and sent loads of great pictures! I think my dog would be more than happy to have Oli stay with her again!”

“This was the first time I use Gianna and she was wonderful! She took great care of my pups, sent me multiple pictures and keep me posted especially to let me know that my older pup was limping. I will definitely use her again!”

“Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Stefanie was amazing as always, our dog is obsessed with her! And when we got stuck in Aruba for an extra 3 days, she was more than willing to stay with our dog. Best dog sitter ever, truly!”

“Emily was great at keeping me updated on my dogs and sent photos frequently. They were happy and healthy when I returned from my trip. I will definitely use her again in the future.”

“Gigi was wonderful. The dogs loved all of her pets and attention! Gigi is very good at communicating before and during the visit. And, she sends pictures every day! I will definitely be using her again!”

“Ellen was absolutely incredible with Nyko & Mali. She sent tons of pictures which was amazing because I do not leave them very often. She followed all of our care instructions and we came home to two very happy fur babies! We will definitely be using Ellen again!!”

“Allison was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Gus! He seemed really at ease and relaxed while we were gone and Allison sent so many updates, videos, and photos which I appreciated. We will definitely be booking with Allison again, can’t say enough good things!”

“Cannot recommend Haley enough. She watched our 3 dogs at our home while away for a week. She sent daily updates and photos, keeping us informed. She went the extra mile watering plants, bringing in deliveries, taking out trash, making sure we returned to a nice clean home. She even replaced a remote that one of our sneaky pups used as a toy. We know our dogs are in great hands when we leave them with Haley!”

“Miranda took great care of our dogs and bunnies! She communicated with daily reports while we were gone. She went above and beyond to keep our house neat and tidy. As a first time Rover customer this was a great first experience. I would rebook with Miranda in the future, and recommend her to others.”

About: I have been walking and watching for dogs since I was in high school and I am now 33, so it’s been a while. I have three of my own fur babies and I am very particular about who I let watch them. I understand our dogs are apart of our family, which is exactly how I would treat them. I love spending time with dogs, talking to them and making them feel special. I do have a full time job as a mental health therapist but my schedule is flexible which allows me to give the fur babies the correct amount of exercise and attention. I have spent time volunteering in shelters and I am able to work with dogs that may be more timid or shy. I work from home and so have a flexible schedule where I’d have the ability to help out with doggos. I use this as a side gig so I am very flexible. I have a fenced in yard for my dogs. I always carry extra leashes or harnesses with me in case they are needed. I will follow the instructions given to me by the owner.
“Alexa is a first ballot Hall of Fame Dog Sitter! She has excellent chemistry with animals, she is kind, professional, punctual, communicative, and quite possibly the best dog photographer we’ve encountered on Rover! Gold Star. 10/10.”

“Maribel was amazing with our baby Whiskey. She was super detailed and observant. She gave plenty of updates and let us know if he was doing anything that might be abnormal (face itching, reactions to summer heat, etc) The house was spotless when we came home and she was a fantastic guest. We highly recommend Maribel. She is super ??”

“Kristan did great watching our dog at our house for the weekend! Our dog is a little particular and requires lots of walks for her energy and Kristan was great meeting her needs. She gave her all the attention she needs and gave us updates. She also left our house all neat and clean! Definitely recommend her!”

“Kendall did a great job caring for my dogs. They loved her!! She took them on adventures and treated them to pup cups at Starbucks! Yes, my dogs are a little bougie 😊. I highly recommend Kendall to care for your pet(s).”

“I can’t recommend Gabriela enough! She helped me out on very short notice, and I’m so grateful she was available. My dog can be a handful—he’s big (around 100 pounds) and very affectionate—but she handled him with so much patience and confidence. It’s clear she really understands dogs, especially larger breeds, and knows how to manage their energy while still giving them the love and attention they need. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. If you’re looking for someone reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely great with dogs, Gabriela is the one!”

Overall, Kellsey did great with caring for my dogs! My girls can “pout” a bit while I am away and she made sure that she messaged me to ensure that they were ok and that it was normal. She was able to meet my girls before my trip so that I knew they got along well!

Courtney was great! She sent a lot of pictures & communicated everyday on how Willie was doing. It definitely put our minds at ease knowing our little guy was being treated so good. She was great with giving him his needed eye drops everyday & we could tell when we got home they were administered correctly. She also took great care of our home. I would definitely recommend her.

Brittany has become a go-to house sitter for me. My dog loves her. Her schedule aligns really well with my remote working schedule so the pal is never alone for long periods. I can leave the house with complete peace of mind knowing she’s going to be here for both short and longer stays. Thank you Brittany!!!

Cecilia did an amazing job watching our dog and house while we were away on vacation. She was reliable, communicative, and took wonderful care of everything. Our pup absolutely loved her! We would highly recommend Cecilia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.

Jenna is such an amazing young lady! We left our two boys with Jenna while she stayed in our home, this was our first time having a pet sitter. She went above and beyond to keep me updated on how things were going, sent pictures/videos and took such great care of them. When I returned home, the house was clean just like I left it. We will definitely ask Jenna back, our two Goldens loved their time with her.

Emily took great care of our two dogs while staying at our house for the weekend. She was fantastic at communicating and sent regular photo updates, which we really appreciated while we were away. It was clear the dogs loved her and were comfortable the whole time. We’d absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wynnedale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wynnedale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wynnedale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
