Pet care experience

Experienced and responsive

Hi there! A little about myself... My love of animals started at a very early age! I grew up on a ranch with a plethora of animals, always several dogs. Anywhere from German Shepherds to Pomeranians, I love ‘em all! My mother was a dog and horse trainer and breeder and I was her sidekick. I currently have a very sweet older Pomeranian, a younger Pomeranian and a Great Pyranese and have oodles of personal experience with obedience training, senior care and general doggie fun. I try to adjust my communication to my clients (sometimes you want a vacation from your pets too) and create an environment in which your pets don’t even notice you’ve been gone! ***Please see below for drop off, pick up times, what to bring in case of boarding*** For house sitting, I am available to stay with your pets when I am not at school and overnight.

Jacque did a good job with our 3 dogs. She kept us informed almost every day while we were gone. She also helped me learn about one of our plants!

Excellent care. Jacque rescued our trip after our frequent sitter had to cancel 3 days in advance when her mother passed away. Last minute she came forward to help our puppies out. Left house spotless and even washed sheets. Definitely will use her again.

Jacque did not stay the night for at least one night, and left our dog unattended for about 14 hours. During the night, a neighbor knocked on the door for a considerable time, and our dog was barking continuously. When asked about this incident, she said she must not have heard because she listens to audiobooks at night. In reality, she was not there. She also brought an unauthorized person into our house without asking. We also saw on our camera that other dogs were brought onto our property, also without asking.

Schedule

***Please note currently I am only offering house sitting services due to a lack of space outdoor space and ideal setup. I am able to provide boarding for smaller dogs only(>15lbs)*** I am available most days, and usually last minute. That being said, I rely on a schedule so please be on time for drop off and pick up! Let me know what your pup needs and I’ll make sure he/she is taken care of, whether it be playing fetch in my large backyard, training with healthy treats, exploring the neighborhood, going for rides to the park, or having a lazy day napping with my Pomeranian.:) ***Please make sure to bring 3 things to keep your pooch comfortable: Food/bowl(if needed), leash (for adventuring) and bed/kennel (a place that smells like home). The reason I like to ask these be brought is 1. Changing diets can be stressful on the digestive system, 2. Not every leash fits every dog, and 3. Dogs use their nose much like we use our eyes, nervousness or excitement can be mitigated by the smells of home. Drop off can be as early as 6:30am and pick up as late as 8pm. Any earlier or later will need to modify the reservation to the prior/following day respectively.*** Pick up time can be up to a half hour window.(ie. 2-2:30) I do ask that a pick up time be set by the owner at drop off. Please arrive within your selected window to avoid late fees.

Safety, trust & environment

When boarding, I like to keep any animals with me at all times because, well I honestly enjoy their company! I have a large fenced backyard and a large air conditioned house as well, so no matter the weather your pup will always be comfortable! When I am house sitting, I live full time at your home. My limitations are work related and we can discuss your expectations and your pet’s needs to make sure it’s a good fit. Please note, I am not available for full time house sitting requiring my presence 24/7.

Pets

A typical day

Some of the activities your pup will enjoy are playing in the backyard and hanging out in the house, walking to the duck pond to explore, going on rides to the dog park to make new friends and socialize (if you’re comfortable with car rides and socializing) and long drives on country roads (one of my favorite pastimes personally).
